This short film is the finale of Bloodborne Journeys, an overarching, interconnected series that follows a Hunter journeying through and around Yharnam, eventually becoming the Bloody Crow.

Trust me bro your voice acting and work is simply astonishing the fact that you only have 1410 subs its actually ridiculous you should have way more simply due to the fact that you put a huge amount of passion into these masterpieces
I'm not even halfway through this and I love it. But at the same time it also makes me wish that we could see the Crow of Cainhurst differently through the progression of the game. If Eileen dies earlier before completing her quest, but we complete Alfred's by giving him the unopened summons, we could see him fighting with the Crow at the queen's chamber and then having the hunter decide who they wish to help in the fight. Whether it be the Executioner, or the Vileblood. You beat Alfred, you are considered an ally to the Crow and assist him in bringing the queen back. You beat the Crow, Alfred sees you as a worthy Executioner yourself and you will continue on with his quest as it usually goes with earning the Radiance rune. It just felt weird to me fighting such an awesome, yet brutal hunter like the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst in the end of Eileen's quest, but never seeing him again elsewhere.
I've seen the theory that the crow is Eileen former apprentice. One little detail also suggesting that is her words when she pass the hunter of hunters badge. She says it is a duty, a burden you may choose to carry. But there is no honor on it.
She doesn't ask you to do it like the league leader. She doesn't dress it with honor and loyalty like the vile queen. She states it is honorless, thankless and unrewarding. And you may choose not to do it. Almost like she learned of her mistakes and no longer wishes to impose a life style she knows leads to suffering. Here is her duty, and you may take it if you wish to.
I'm a bit late to this party, just wrapped on my inaugural playthrough of bloodborne. The bloody crow/Eileen quest, while kind of vague, was by far the most intriguing. The writers really made the bloody crow out to be the boogyman.........
And what i just watched was phenomenal. This should have over a million views.
Little Theory i had as to who the Crow actually is. I believe it’s Eileen’s former apprentice. This explains why her weapons the blades of mercy werent passed down as they were said to be.
Its clear from his voice he’s young or mature and is at least younger than Eileen. I think he went to Cainhurst, maybe to prove himself but was turned by the Vilebloods after convincing him the Church is Corrupt.
This is the reason i feel Eileen continues to Hunt in old age and even once she’s left the Dream. She wants to put down her former apprentice and end his threat to other Hunters
And i think the reason she goes crazy ad the end of her questline is because she succeeds. Killing Henryk and her former apprentice had to take a mental toll. Eileen now believe herself to be the only one to save Yharnam from Hunter’s corruption.
But we help her. We ground her. Like her apprentice we help keep her mind stable. Hence why she loses to the Crow, she couldn’t muster up Blood list for him after we helped her Hunt.
After we kill him Eileen is at ease, recognizing her mortal form wouldn’t last Forever and sees you as someone she can trust with her blades. Someone she can trust with the responsibility, no, the honor of upholding the Hunter of Hunters
This is a theory of course but alot of time and thought brought me here to this idea of who the Bloody Crow really is. Hell while Eileen wants to kill him, i think its possible he didn’t want to kill her. He may have tried to convince her to abandon Yharnam and join the Vilebloods to stop the Church’s corruption, but Eileen was too headstrong and still sees the Vilebloods as corrupt. And further still, the Hunting of others for Blood Dregs rubs against her duty as Hunter of Hunters.
ChaseInSpace what a cool perspective! It’s clear you thought about this a lot, and I can certainly see bits of that throughout the little time we are presented with the Crow.
The way the Crow just suddenly turns up and wounds her suggests she always knew he was around, as I believe her whole reason in Yharnam was for the Crow. Henryk was imo an extra kill for her.

Fieldhouz Yeah, honestly this was one of the most obscure Bloodborne storylines. But the best part is this line of thought came from me realizing his voice was young when you hurt him. Its awesome that these games can imply so much with these tiny details.
Personally, I think the Bloody Crow is meant to give us a bit of cross-playthrough insight on the role of the Hunter of Hunters... The Bloody Crow of Cainhurst is equipped with a Cainhurst helmet, grieves and leggings as well as a Chikage, but their chestpiece is a Crowfeather garb... The thing about the Crowfether garb is that you can only get it either by completing Eileen's questline, in which case she gives you the Crow Hunter Badge, _or_ by defeating Eileen herself, which is what the Bloody Crow has just done. This could very well make the Bloody Crow a sort of player stand-in, more specifically a stand-in for a player that's attacked by Eileen...
Think of the possible events that transpire a little bit like this: There are two Hunters in town. One of them helps Eileen take down Henryk and the other one doesn't. Eileen then fights the Hunter who didn't help her in the Cathedral, judging them as having gotten intoxicated with blood, but she is bested. The Hunter who bested her partakes the spoils of victory and dons that sweet Crowfeather chestpiece. Now the first Hunter shows up and finds Eileen on the stairs of the Cathedral, goes in and fights the second Hunter to the death... but we could very well have been either one of these two Hunters, couldn't we? We could've defeated Eileen, or we could've defeated the Crow...
The Hunter of Hunters is supposed to hunt down Hunters who've gotten intoxicated with blood, and Eileen's dialogue if you fight her in the Cathedral indicates that she thinks you've done just that. Presumably, she attacked the Bloody Crow for the exact same reason... She then also goes on raving and ranting about how the beasts cannot be stopped and the only way to truly stop the Hunt is to put an end to the Hunters... honestly, considering that the Hunters are the ones keeping the Hunt going -- at least partially by eventually turning into beasts themselves, but also on Gehrman's own command -- she's not even wrong... So what exactly is the role of the Hunter of Hunters? To end the Hunt, just like all other Hunters are trying to do, obviously, but what does that mission look like from the perspective of the Hunter of Hunters? Is there really any contradiction in the way Eileen treats you if you get in her good graces, or if you end up on her hit list? As far as her mission goes, maybe there isn't?
Maybe I should just go to bed instead of writing sleep-deprived theories on UA-cam? ´xD
GrahamChapman love the idea you through out there about there being two Hunters, and depending on our actions as the player, we could end up as both. Essentially saying we are the Crow in a parallel playthrough. Love this

I'm glad the point I was trying to make came across at least -- and I'm also glad you were able to summarize what I was saying so well. ^^ Seriously, I nodded off halfway through writing the above comment, so I was a bit worried that the stuff I was writing down would come across as the incoherent ravings of a madman.
Also, if the Bloody Crow _is_ meant to be a representation of us, then I gotta admit that Miyazaki really captured our spirits quite well: Not only is the Crow _very_ fashionable, 'cuz that Cainhurst Crowfeather ensemble they're rocking is just plain **kisses fingers** but they are also quite the min-maxer: Three out of their four armor pieces have some of the highest raw defenses in the game, and the Crow is running a _very_ painful Bloodtinge build _and_ is armed with some of the best Hunter tools in the game to boot... If nothing else then the Bloody Crow is at least a more flattering take on us than the fatty rollers in the Chalice Dungeons. xD

This is probably the best thing that has been made that gives us any sort of indication of who the Crow of Cainhurst is as well as potential motivation as to why he came to Yharnam in the first place. Love it! Fantastic work!

The camera, the editing, the sound, the use of the dialogue clips, the colors , it's all fantastic.
The fight with alfred was my favorite part. I really liked the editing there, particularly the cut after 5:11, and loved what you did at 5:46. You really make the best out of the game's limited range of animated actions to convey character.
I can't believe this has so few views. A lot of BB content posted in like september of this year and on has dozens of thousands of views. The algorithm did you dirty (or maybe the fandom just got excited in halloween season).

I think the small views are because I’m a tiny channel. So the algorithm will never pick me up, whereas larger channels talking about Bloodborne have it much easier I guess.

I always had a theory the bloody Crow was the vileblood queens son. If you look in the room with the pictures in Cainhurst castle there is a picture of a woman with a young child appearing to be a boy. Also matching helmets possible a signature family design. Just a theory would like to hear what you think
I mean, the bloodycrow seem to be one of the few left after the execution. (Along with the cainhurst hunters in the chalice dungeons, and the old knights.) He's the strongest between all of the queen's bodyguards (or cainhurst hunters as a whole, basically I am referring to all of the old people, that you fight at cainhurst whom used to be its knights.) From his voice he's an old man, and the queen is an immortal, so yeah possibly. [Especially since he's as old as everyone else in cainhurst or even older, but he's still a living tank, also I would like to add that he wears the garb of the hunter of hunters, which has less protection for blood and physical damge, but he's still more tank-y than every cainhurst hunter.]

@@dougp5044 or possibly that he used to be hunter of hunters before Eileen, given that he's old he's probably as old as her, if not older.
Or that he just like you put it wants to show off, perhaps he takes a token of victory every time he successfully kills a hunter.
(But idk how will that threaten the church exactly, given the fact that they only care about themselves and THEIR hunters, and since no hunter of the church is around anymore [they're either sent into a nightmare, Mensis hunters who separated from the healing church, dead, or turned beasts.] ...)
@@elevated6941 true we have to assume he's older then Eileen because he is a Vileblood basically vampires. I wish From would release a book explaining lore and back stories better so we could know more of the stories of NPCs like Eileen and the Bloody Crow.
@@dougp5044 I wish that too, so we can know more about NPC's such as the bloodycrow, Damian, queen killer (😂), and tomb prosecutors. We really know nothing about those guys we just know they exist, and that's pretty much it.

My hunter wears an attire similar to his and I like to think it’s out of respect for a powerful adversary. He travels to Cainhurst after battle with Bloody Crow to meet with the queen he was loyal to. He takes an oath as a vileblood before remembering his original purpose and returns to Yharnam
