🏆Do you think the Mazda CX-50 potential drawbacks outweigh its strengths for your needs?🤔

It sounds more likely a YOU problem. Alone with the price, you got everything you need in a car. I have no issue with my CX-50. It has a comfy ride, good cornering ability. I would definitely recommend this car.

@@MKB1L . CVT is usually implemented by a belt or chain (sleazy mechanical CVT) that actually counts on FRICTION to work. Not a good strategy. Long term reliability has been very poor.
Most Toyota (and Ford) hybrids provide CVT action (called eCVT) to their gasoline assist engine using a planetary gearset and an electric motor to run the sun gear. These are very reliable (even the old Ford Model T used them). The main electric traction motor is direct drive to the drive axle (the same as most battery electric cars).
These hybrids are electric cars with gasoline engine assist (and no need (or ability) to plug in to the grid). They get all of their energy from gasoline and get great fuel economy.

We traded in our 2020 Forester for the 2024 CX-50 which is much better. The Forester had both front seat stitching starting to come apart at 3 years and 32,000 miles, electronics were akward to use and CVT transmission was not as good as the Mazda automatic. We also have a 2015 Mazda3 with 150,000 miles which our daughter drives and still runs like new. Our daughter drove the CX-50 and now wants a 2025 CX-50.

Think I'll keep my Cx30. 44mpg highway , 36 mpg in town (Imperial Gallons). Our 8th Mazda, zero issues. 5 have had the control knob which can be used without taking your eyres off of the road. Not a fan of touch screen especially when wearing gloves in the winter.Yes there are tech screen friendly gloves if you want to hit 2 icons at once. We don't off road or tow, so no issues there. Don't need a turbo for premium fuel. But it';ll run on regular said the young sales rep. My son has a CX-5 & I drove it a fair bit, but the CX30 fits us better. Just my 5 cents worth (inflation)

I bought the CX-50 for the base engine without a turbo that has enough power for the vehicle, even a sport mode if needed but great on highway and mpgs are good. The trans is a 6 speed and not a CVT like Honda, Toyota, and Subaru or the dreadful Nissan CVT. It has tons of standard safety features, all wheel drive, and the engine will last a long time. Bought my 24’ CX50 last March and had no issues with it besides a slight rattling noise in my driver door panel, mechanically speaking is awesome. Took it on “its trial by fire” through the Colorado Rockies I-70 and the desert between Utah, Arizona and California (through back roads) and this vehicle handled sooooo awesome, not to mention that I was moving too so my car was fully packed with all I could fit with back seats down and my friend as passenger and backup driver for the trip, I was scared that the car wasn’t going to be able to handle the ups and down through the Rockies and some in the desert with high temperatures (110F max) but HECK YEAH IT DID!!!! A/C on all the time and when through back roads in small towns yk changing speeds between 65mph to 45mph and back, so annoying tbh but the CX50 took it like a champ not to mention that the steering dynamics were so much fun, also fuel economy in the entire trip was amazing around 34mpg and filled up 3 times in the entire trip.
That’s my opinion, and if you ask me “should I buy one?” I will 100% say YES BUY IT!
    Hope this helps. 🫶🏼
