Thank you for taking a far more mature approach to this subject matter than most, I hope your professionalism opens people's eyes to our side of the story. I think what is upsetting most CEC fans is not that 2.0 happened, but how it happened, and the fact that it was so preventable. What we can never get past as passionate fans is the fact that this didn’t have to happen if they didn’t make possibly the worst possible decision in every scenario such as removing showroom walls, curtains, dim lighting, loud audio, segments, song covers, and the removal of most five character shows in favor of a one character show, etc. I know that in most places other than Disney they are dead, but animatronics could still be relevant if they made an honest effort, because I often see little kids approaching the stage and taking photos even to this day. Aaron Fechter was a great example of this with all the innovations he was making at and things he had planned for Showbiz Pizza Place. The marketing and passion for the Chuck E. Cheese characters I feel is no longer there, there are just hardly any excuses. Some argue its still Chuck E. Cheese nonetheless and to get over the remodel, but I disagree. There’s only so much you can do to the point it has none of the characteristics that made it Chuck E. Cheese in the first place. Your line of it being just another pizza place as the sign once said hits home. CEC has given its consumers no reason whatsoever to visit it over the average arcade. The problem with it today is that it can be swapped out with any other arcade, whereas back then it couldn’t. If anything, the average arcade usually has a lot more to offer than Chuck E. Cheese in 2022. My biggest fear is that kids in 10 years won’t know CEC is unlike our generation simply because there is nothing to recognize it for these days. Back then when you thought of CEC, you thought of an EVENT, a mini Disneyland. People today see it as a joke after all it’s been through and I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse. The only reason it still gets business is because of the name, which is completely unfair. You make a brilliant point I never thought of comparing the removal of the Avenger to if Ronald McDonald or Mickey Mouse were changed. I mean, what do people notice about all the past renditions of Chuck E. Cheese? If they guess he maintained his New Jersey accent, big eyes, rat look, and just lovable personality, they are absolutely correct. If I were in charge of the company, the Avenger should have been upgraded tastefully in 2012 while maintaining his old voice but still making subtle changes, maybe you want to remove his hat still and still kind of make him a rockstar, or better yet, go backwards in time and bring back his tux look because it seems these days everything old is new. This could allow for the brand to really stand out, a classical yet very modern update is all that would be needed for the character designs and look of the restaurant. Possibly make it a completely old school place for nostalgia purposes, calling it Pizza Time Theatre again with all old arcade games. Beyond good commercials, what if CEC had a TV show on PBS kids when you take into consideration the fact CEC had a partnership with them. Call it CEC TV like they did on intermissions way back when. Promotion type offers could have been done weekly on say every Friday or something to interest parents, say get a deal on tokens, a pizza and a show for a certain amount of time or whatever. Companies need to modernize to keep up, change is inevitable, but change must be done good as it has been demonstrated in the past. These companies are getting out of hand, and someone needs to say no. Who are we to criticize if we don't come up with solutions to the problem? You summed up all my thoughts perfectly, and for that, I thank you.
I completely agree with you and Nathan more. In fact, the same thing happens with the McDonald's mascots they had back in the day. Kids today might know who Ronald is, but they don't even know who Birdie is, or Hamburglar, or Grimace, or Mayor McCheese, or Mac Tonight, or Big Mac, or even Captain Crook. Instead of retiring the characters in favor of new ones (like those Happy Meal boxes that are basically Minion ripoffs), why not bring back the McDonaldland aesthetic in the 70s and 80s? Because, like you said, it seems that everything old is new.
they took away what made chuck e cheese actually worth going to, it feels like a hallow shell of what it was before, and I think it began when they started removing the animatronics from the locations. they were what made it unique, now it's just a kid's arcade and there's nothing special about it. great video as always p.s. i also liked literally all of the comments from this video. my speed clicking skills have not gone to waste from stopmotion. have a good day
@@MEeEe.. When you remove the very aspect that made the arcade pizzeria chains unique (as in, destroying the animatronic animal bands & replacing them with a stupid LED dance floor with overhanging mounted television setup), they're no different than other penny arcades & are just Chuck E. Cheese in name alone, because thanks to 2.0, they're just a kid-friendly Dave 'n Busters (minus the slot machines for adults).
i know only 1 store in my area that has a studio c beta stage and its the only animatronic for miles as over the past few months more and more stores have gone through 2.0 changes.
The whole token thing is what pissed me off too. Who needs a stupid card when you can actually see and touch the coins? They also make great collector's items.
The token removal makes sense from a business prospective. Tokens are actually pretty expensive for a company to manufacture as opposed to cards which are much cheaper, faster to load and more versatile.
I was never terrified of the animatronics. I’ve always been amazed by them, even when I was a little kid. When I wasn’t playing any games at CEC, I’d always stand In front of the animatronics and watch them, and I’d do it for a good while. My love and fascination of animatronics stemmed from CEC, and to see it ripped out in favor of something as generic as a dance floor is just sad, especially since both could easily coexist. “Even KIDS think removing the animatronics is dumb and stupid” Yeah like when I was 9 and found out about 2.0 and the animatronic removal at CEC locations I was super mad
Exactly my history with my location, tho mine was ruined I believe in 2019 when I was 16. I'd always go and play more of the games without screens like Skee-Ball and that one where you shoot the water onto the target, and when I took a break from that, the bots were one of my favourite parts; The pizza was pretty good from what I can remember. Sometimes even the mascot would come right up to me and offer a hug during gameplay; I went on the photo ride and sat in the sketchbook booth, and at the beginning of the visit I'd always rub the giant token and get cotton candy at the end of it, still feeling the stamp ink on my wrist. I had my 10th and 13th birthdays, both with the Ticket Blaster. I still have some tokens as a piece of history. The sounds of the games/rides and the music and the aesthetic of the interior, remembering it all just gives off a cozy feeling that makes me wish time travel were possible even more.... In fact, the game we don't talk about even further sparked my interest in CEC and SPP, and in the process started up one in animatronics in general; Like think about it, the concept of mechanical and robotic characters built for your entertainment, is something I believe was ahead of its time, evolving in the 1960's from the days of automata, precursors from hundreds of years ago. It's ironic how we've been talking for God knows how long about robots replacing people when the literal opposite's happening with the new-fangled 2.0 remodels, poor mascot employees walking around without breaks, like c'mon, it's like they not only don't give 2 keema parathas about their customers and fandom, but neither their own damn employees! I feel bad. Sometimes on rare occasions it's better to let the bots give the sweaty meatpuppets breaks every once in a while whilst still giving the latter their fair wage, no? Sorry for the ramble, I'm lost in the flames of my fuzzy burning memories
While working for CEC, my favorite part of the job was performing as “Chuck E.” I always received compliments from management and guests on my energy and enthusiasm while performing. I was serious about bringing the character to life.
Yeah the mascot job can have a range of difficulty, but one thing's for sure: If you're performing as a character who's supposed to interact with kids, you've GOT to have enthusiasm; A delightful demeanor, sociable, and especially tolerance for kids, if not a love for them. My location's mascot was always the kind to offer hugs and overall bring a sense of warmth to the environment, much like you, even during my visits in the Rockstar era. Once I was playing a racing game where you roll the ball to move your bike, and I felt something tap my shoulder; And there the big guy was! I could tell at least one of the folks in there recognised me from how often I visited from that alone. It was that welcoming. I remember watching a few training videos from the early 90's and one of them said to give an approach like that, not to just waltz about aimlessly with an occasional slow wave, even doing a comparison between behaviors. Seems as though a number are doing just that nowadays. It's hard to find a job you like, but this'ne can be an easy feat if you enjoy seeing kids having a good time and wanna be a part of it. You sir were a wonder at making childhoods come alive, and may you and all else here prosper wherever you go. Cheers🤙🏻
I can't believe my own Chuck E Cheese in Pennsylvania got taken down, due to the 2.0 Update. I loved everything about my Chuck E Cheese, and even though I moved from Pennsylvania, I still get to visit it every once and a while. I'm just soured out by how much CEC has taken the Nostalgia from and out of our childhoods! Still, this a rant that I can perfectly agree on for reasons. Thank you, Nathan!
As much as I would absolutely love it if they’d listen to their fans as I’m a fan of CEC myself (and because our suggestions are pretty valid), they’re probably never going to listen to us because truth be told, they’d see it as a bad business decision since their fans take up an extremely small portion of their daily customers. When making business decisions, they’ll (unfortunately) almost always have their target demographic, parents and their children, in mind.
@@katelyng1019 But even parents & children would probably prefer the DISNEY experience (actually getting an autograph from a character, physically interacting with them through hand slaps/handshakes/hugs, and taking pictures with them) over the "NO autographs" (instead, a picture print of all the characters together with automated signatures on the back is sold in the gift shop) & "NO interactions with adult guests" mindset of CEC corporate, which is ironic, since even before the merger into Show Time Pizza, Inc. (and later, just Chuck E. Cheese's) both Showbiz Pizza Place & Pizza Time Theater were each intentionally trying to emulate going to a DISNEY theme park with its animatronic animal stage shows & walk-around flagship characters, yet in comparison to the DISNEY Meet-and-Greets, the way the arcade pizzeria's costumed mascots act towards even their supposed target audience would be very limited at best.
I strongly agree with your suggestions on how Chuck E. Cheese’s can be even better for both kids and adults in the future, Nathan. You also have some good points about the modern day mascot costumes. This is a great video. :)
The one about the walkabout suits upsets me a lot since I watched the training tapes from way back when. It's so jarring to hear that the suits aren't being taken cared of and that employees are forced to wear something really uncomfortable. Also, I had no idea Rockstar Chuck's nose was stuck on. I always assumed it was part of the face and not separate from it.
I remember when I was a little kid, and I got my first ever jackpot. I was so proud of myself. Matter a fact when the tickets were done dispensing, I just took them out, and walked away dragging them behind me. Like I was showing off to everybody "Look! I did this too!" But now that I know tickets are gone, it's just kinda sad that a lot of kids now won't be able to experience that kind of joy. Where people can see that you won. That there's proof other than your words.
@ 10:13-11:08 - You hit the nail on the head there, buddy! In fact, it would've been up there on the list with other bad business decisions like: 1. Live action adaptations and remakes of animated movies and cartoons. 2. Adding Scrappy to Scooby-Doo. 3. Redesigning cereal mascots (don't get me started on Toucan Sam). 4. No Shamrock Shakes. 5. Making the Muppets influencers. 6. "Big Brother" show.
Lmao! When I was working at CEC, I was one of the only folks who actually enjoyed being Chuck and performing for guests. when you were talking about low-energy employees being forced to get into the costume I felt that cuz 99% of my coworkers did NOT wanna do it. 😂 It's really easy to tell when someone doesn't wanna be somewhere.
Thanks for being a good preformer and probably making some kids a lot happier than they would be if a non enthusiastic performer had to wear the costume.
It doesn't seem fair at all to force employees to perform as Chuck E against their will. Sign of a terrible employer. That needs to change sooner rather than later. I, personally, would love to perform as CEC or any of the other characters.
@@bluegold1026 Yeah, I agree. while I understand NEEDING to have someone preform, it isn't much better to just have anyone do it if they don't want to, cuz the energy isn't there and people pick up on that. Kids won't, but adults definitely notice.
@@B0BBYJ4CK The thing is, the Chuck E. Cheese (and formerly, the Rock Afire Explosion) characters AREN'T even supposed to interact with adults. Just like signing autographs (even though a basic signature for each of the individual characters should be easily to implement, doing autographs on the daily could prove taxing for the person suffering heat exhaustion from inside the costume, since they're nowhere near the quality of theme park character costumes, given how theme park character costumes come with a mechanism that pumps in fresh air for the Cast Member inside to breath & are articulated, never mind that theme park characters are actively encouraged to sign autographs, slap hands/handshake/hug with guests, and take pictures with guests, etc.), interacting with adults is on the DON'T list of "DO & DON'T" guidelines for those who are "friends" with the Showbiz Pizza/Chuck E. characters (in itself an industry insider term for company employees who portray the characters in public); Also recognize how I am using such terminology to compare & contrast the Chuck E. Cheese mascot's interactions with theme park character Meet-and-Greets, considering the fact that even back when Pizza Time Theater & Showbiz Pizza Place were separate, rival arcade pizzeria chains, both of them were deliberately trying to emulate the DISNEY experience using their animatronic animal band stage shows & walk-around flagship characters, yet NEITHER arcade pizzeria chain would ever LET those portraying the Chuck E. Cheese (likewise, the Rock Afire Explosion previously for restaurants that converted from Showbiz Pizza Place to Chuck E. Cheese''s using Concept Unification) characters sign autographs (in lieu of this, you could purchase a picture print of all of the characters & automated signatures from each would appear on the backside of the print alongside the standard corporate stuff listing the registered trademark copyright over the characters) & interacting with adults guests -- in stark contrast to the DISNEY experience they're trying to emulate proudly embracing its fans of all ages -- is strictly PROHIBITED.
I’m still mad they removed the animatronics. They were literally the only reason I went. I didn’t care about the games. I went for the show room. When they fired Duncan Brannan in 2012, that was it. The company made a permanent enemy out of me. It’s all been downhill since then. Now with 2.0, they’ve essentially turned the stores into Kidz Bop. Which nobody wants
Your concept for a room for adults is exactly what PTT did with Dolli Dimples and her piano bar luoge. An attraction that allows parents to enjoy certain almost as much as the kids
My kid hates 2.0 and never stops talking trash about it. Especially after our location got 2.0(it was an a studio c alpha) he is very sad... and he's a kid.... chuck e cheese listens to kids right?
I belive rokstar chuck debued în 2012,but he was aint used till 2013, în the year 2013 thay made a mascot but not use it alot, and btw new rokstar is trash
The former CEO actually would blame Scott Cowthan for the kids to stop looking at the robots. Fnaf is speculated around Chuck E. Cheese and their success. And he probably removed them because he was afraid that fnaf was brainwashing kids into thinking r9bot pizzarias are bad. And yes he did make the robots a sideshow...
I totally agree with everything you said about how to fix the restaurant! I just wish they would make better wall art. Thanks for the shout-out at the end too.
Another topic not brought up in this video (even though he mentioned the modern music) is how much love the original songs don't get. And I'm not talking about original songs from now, I mean the ones from the past. Songs like Don't Hurry To Worry (A PERFECT song for now, with all the s*it going on in the world) Every Boy And Every Girl and even others like Freeze Frame and Chuck E's Dance Party. What happened to the fun and joy of the songs? Some of the modern CEC songs feel like they were written within like 5-10 minuets, and sung by people who were randomly found on the street. And what about the skits in the older showtapes? Things like CEC TV still make me laugh to this very day. What CEC should do, is go and remaster some of their older material and use it for newer showtapes, so newer generations can enjoy what the past generations got to enjoy. And I've said this to many but #justiceforcrustythecat
This is a really well done video. Unlike some other fans you presented this topic in a mature and clear way. Awesome video. You earner a new subscriber :D
I really like the idea of have a room dedicated to retro arcade games for the young at heart. I hope they do something like that in the future but I wouldn't hold my breath.
So I went to a CEC today (circle of lights w/ bot if you're curious), and sadly, yes. The animatronics have become the sideshow. Me and my little brother were the only ones that actually paid attention to the bot, everyone else was running around, playing games and doing generic birthday stuff. As much as I hate to admit it, Tom was right. The animatronics HAVE become the sideshow. Also the performer wasn't the best, but they did good! They weren't in to much of a rush to leave, and they took the time to interact with kids and take pictures.
I just wish CEC kept Avenger Chuck, because I’ve grew-up with him since when I first saw him, and he is so beloved by everyone, and they should’ve never got rid of him.
avenger chuck was around for almost 20 years, kids these days don't even know who he is. chuck e cheese isn't going to keep their character designs the same just because people who were kids in the 90s and 2000s grew up with them, the people who are kids NOW are their target demographic, and kids now aren't going to relate to characters that look like they're still stuck in 1995...
@@eman96744 did you even read my comment? just because alot of chuck e cheese fans like avenger more than rockstar doesn't mean cec is going to bring him back. the cec fandom is not their target demographic. they don't give a shit about what the fandom thinks.
This video is well made in terms of pacing and reason. Like the emotional persuasions and suggestions are something I kind of resonate with. Like, I’m sure that the better use of animatronics and new adult-friendly area would really make CEC better. Also, if they’re willing to improve I hope they don’t lose the soul of when I experienced as a kid. One of my fondest memories there was right after I hit the jackpot of some game, got all the tickets, told the Chuck e cheese mascot that walked passed me about my short success and I was offered a double-high five. Sure it’s quite short, but it’s sweet and I hope that children experience this sense of achievement and fun with a little interaction of the mascot. But yeah, great video!
I am honestly sad that the animatronic’s are dying out, and classic cec game’s are dying out too, my local cec still has animatronic’s luckily and still have the classic Chuck before redesign logo, but it might not last long, since there is some 2.0 stuff coming in, I think..
My known CEC and childhood location is still in Phase 3 with an old logo and still has the Studio C Alpha animatronic and stage. I have to visit it soon to see how it has changed asides from keeping the animatronic.
Fun enough I always kept thinking that CEC should start some sort vintage franchise that targets adults who used to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese/Showbiz Pizza back in the days.
CEC employee here. I love being in the mascot suit, but the fact that the chin strap is broken doesn’t allow me to be as animated as I want. But I try my best
I've been thinking about the need for Bella to exist at CEC, I wonder if the company saw just how popular the Bonnie characters from FNAF were and decided to add a bunny of their own to the main cast.
I LOVE the song out of this world! but the one sung by the animatronics! NOT the puppets... I missed the animatronics.... It was a shame I was so scared of them when I was younger... I miss Crusty the cat and Foxy Colleen! I only learned about them from a youtuber named Fastpass Facts, But I loved them and wished I could have witnessed them! I mean, Crusty literally inspired Salty the pirate cat (my fnaf OC) and Foxy Colleen inspired Furdy the fox (another Fnaf OC of mine)
I think that they should bring back The animatronics Tokens and tickets Have chuck e cheese come every hour Have the animatronics sing segments again and do cover songs again Use mascots more in music videos and still use puppets to but mostly use mascots Ticket blaster If every location has the stupid dance floor have all 5 of the chuck e cheese mascot characters
Now I have a Jasper mascot being a CEC big fan as well as collector and I love taking Jasper out I do my best giving him personality and it never ceases when people want to stop and get pictures with him and it makes me happy seeing other people happy Some people know who Jasper is and some don't I also have an original CEC name badge with Jasper's picture on it that I wear as well But when you see somebody smile or honk when you're walking by or wave and say hey dog or hey Jasper then it just makes every minute of it worth it but I enjoy doing it anyway regardless 💯👍🙂🐾🐶 Awesome video by the way I'm glad you're standing up for what you believe in and should be
They could’ve used any of the guest stars from the 70s/80s like crusty or madame oink. I don’t think it was needed to make a new character when they already had characters that could’ve been brought back up again. I’d imagine fans who grew up with the PTT era would be way happier with that than what they got. They add any of those characters from that era and Fans won’t get upset about a newbie getting shoehorned and replacing a 30+ year old character. Seems like a win win and an easy solution.
it would have been cool if they made the dance floor wrap around the stage, and also if they never got rid of the curtains, so that when the curtains close, the costumes come out to dance with kids or something.
3:55 are we going to forget the fact that john widelock was in the same room with scott when gene landrum said "Thats our new chuck e!" Like bro duncan not being told was basically what they did to john
If I were to become the new CEO of CEC, here are the changes I would make: * Stop 2.0 and work with Garner-Holt to create a new animatronic show; these animatronics would have LED eyes allowing them to do "wild takes" (like Munch's eyes turning into pizzas or Helen's eyes becoming a Pong game), and would be across four stages: Stage Left would still be Pasqually on drums at Pasqually's Amateur Hour, Center Stage would be Helen on rhythm guitar, Munch on keyboard, and Jasper on banjo, Stage Right would be Chuck E. on lead guitar and a returning Crusty the Cat as a DJ, and the fourth stage would be the "guest stage", where rotating guest stars would be featured, including Madame Oink, Foxy Colleen, and Harmony Howlette (not Sally Sashay, because disco is dead) * Begin the process of "Concept Division"; first and foremost, I would work my ASS off to mend fences with Aaron Fechter, and work to bring back the ShowBiz brand and the Rock-afire Explosion * Hire fans to write the shows, since they clearly understand the characters better than whoever is writing the shows right now and turning them into Bootleg Sesame Street (for the RAE, I'd give CEI complete and total control, let them make the talking parts as long as they want, do whatever songs they want, and take as many potshots at past CEC/ShowBiz executives as they want) * Limit the use of puppets to intermissions, use clever auralvisual tricks to make it seem like the animatronics are real people who are walking around, and overall reduce reliance on CyberStar * Go back to the old show format with song covers and the CEC TV branding * Resurrect the Cabaret concept, and put it in a more-upscale part of the store for adults; characters would include Dolli Dimples, Artie Antlers, Elkton John, and Glen Camel * Bring back the showroom walls, curtains, dimmed lighting, and louder audio
The only things that should happen is return of covers and dimming But everything else should not happen Aaron Fechter is a terrible person so don’t let him back in
It doesn’t make sense to make a character look more cool or hip, like you said characters like Mickey Mouse sonic and Ronald McDonald have almost never changed and are still beloved today
Also I think they should give more recognition to the others in the band because I can’t even count how many times they have called them “the dog” or “the chef”
@oddbiku Yet, even older audiences likely prefer the original RAT in his red vest and derby hat to even his '90's xtreme" self that Avenger portrayed. But then, older fans than that prefer the Rock Afire Explosion over Munch's Make-Believe Band, for obvious reasons.
Funny enough, that's how I view Avenger Chuck. Avenger Chuck gave me an impression that he's made to be "cool" and "hip", when really, I find PTT and Tux era Chuck to be more timeless and interesting. Billy Bob from Rock afire Explosion isn't made to be "cool" and "hip" type marketing and he ends up being more genuine and a much better character than any era of Chucks to me. I find it ironic lot of people complain about Rockstar Chuck being this "ugh, marketable change to appeal the kids these days", when Avenger Chuck is exactly that compared to previous eras of Chucks before Avenger. The reason why Avenger Chuck exist in the first place is because a cool mouse who likes to play on skateboards is much more marketable to children in the late 90's than an "old" and "outdated" wisecracking derby hat wearing rat who smokes cigars. And btw, I'm not a fan of both Avenger and Rockstar era Chuck.
Honestly I think other than removing the animatronics I think CEC is heading in the right direction under the new CEO I actually met him he's a pretty nice guy
Here are the bad things i can say for 2.0: 1-The obvious one. They removed the thing that made cec unique from any pizza parlor, The animatronics 2-As Nathan mentioned the dance floors are really hard to fix and break most of the time 3-Oh. did i mention that CEC made a collab with LankyBox? (yes that roblox youtuber who steals other peoples art and does clickbait roblox adopt me videos?)
25:47 There is a game at my local location, Rockford, which is a coin pusher that is in the entrance corner last time I went. Construction themed. Loved that thing since a kid. It will give you a token in order to play the game if you swipe your card. Good to know that I can still keep my collection up. Even got a Showbiz token from there, somehow. And, the youtube channel made an animatronics playlist, though it isn't the best.
If I were Garner Holt, I’d be so offended that they just destroy all my work just because they’re not going to use it anymore. I rather would have it become abandoned than purposely defaced. This new minimalist look has no character. So many businesss fall into this trap of being “modern”, but lose everything that was associated with them in the process.
I have a story about the ticket splash, my Chuck E. Cheese growing up was silver spring md (closed now) but they had the ticket splash and I remember idk if this was my place in particular they gave out blue tickets and it had 2 of them each ticket throwing session it would give u a bag of cotton candy one time I got it and a kid ripped it out of my hand and it ripped in half I ended up getting the cotton candy anyways as the people working there were nice and understanding that was my favorite Chuck E. Cheese i grew up in rip silver spring
Honestly, it’s sad because I only went to Cec once many years ago... and I think the robots were either already gone, or it was just because I was sat in the very back and couldn’t see anything (visual problems), but I don’t think I ever actually saw the robots perform. Which now that I’m an animatronic fan, breaks my heart. Especially since most places with animatronics have closed down. I’d do anything just to see one animatronic show in person. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like it will happen.
@@honeycub2008 Or if you want the Rock Afire Explosion themselves rather than the Munch's Make-Believe Band Concept Unification refit, visit Billy Bob's Wonderland in West Virginia.
If I ran an chuck e cheese restaurant -make chuck like his 1977 personality back -bring back some the classic characters like crusty the cat - give chuck his Jhon widelock voice back - redesign the cast to be an hybrid of there 1977 and modern design - give the main cast more personality - go more of an showbiz pizzeria style animaltronic - ban tom from the restaurant
Rest in peace my local location, Rockford. It's dead. 2.0 is utter trash there, it wasn't even one of the good remodels. I love how they're blaming kids for not watching them. They made them the side-show. They removed the walls, the stage light dimming, the audience interaction, the liveliness, the programming, the aesthetic, the fact the shows aren't entertaining. Take for example, the April 2012 show. It gives you a story to follow along with, and it mixes in popular songs. I can be fine with not covering songs, but there's just no entertainment without any actual *show*. They pay to update the arcade part, that's why the children go to the games instead of the animatronics. It's not even a good dance floor, either. It's just a screen projected onto the floor. What's the point of even watching the Show at CEC if its just a TV? It's just a waste ov money. CEC is so cheap they can't even get a good pizza cutter, even after the rumors. And, THE ABSOLUTE WORST OF IT ALL, They PURPOSELY MANIPULATED US INTO AGREEING WITH THEM BY killing shows by not performing maintenance on them. Take a look at some locations that used to be really good, such as mine, Rockford. After 2.0 was mentioned, magically, the animatronics mouths didn't work, neither did their eyelids, pasqually looked drunk. Wow. In my opinion though, Rockford needed an update, I just wish that update would keep the stages and make them pop more, since the Rocker stage meant to appear lively in the settings they were built for. They don't fit in modern CECs, though, instead of using their cash pile to make the stages look good, they pay even more money to get rid of them.
I grew up with avenger chuck and me being used to avenger chuck and Rockstar chuck, I've seen that Rockstar chuck has such attitude when talking to some of his friends, especially Pasquale (if that's spelled right) It's like CEC has something against Pasquale. Anytime Pasquale or munch talk to Rockstar chuck, he calls them out rudely and avenger never did that.
I used to work at CEC and I just wanted to share this fun fact that not many people outside the company know about. I’ve read the employee handbook (yes, nerdy, I know…). In that handbook, there’s a segment regarding the costumes. It explains how to apply the costumes, how to engage with the children while in costumes, it even stresses the importance of having proper form and to do stretches before putting the costume on. But here’s the most interesting part…did you know that all characters have their own special “zones” in the restaurant? When they come out, those characters are SUPPOSED to “hover” in that general area as determined by their various personalities. Chuck hangs around the dance floor. Helen’s terf is in the arcade where she cheers and congratulates kids on getting high scores and even plays a few games with them. Munch hangs around the dining room and playfully “begs” for pizza. Even the newly added Bella Bunny has her own zone being the salad bar, where she tries to encourage kids to consider eating salads and vegetables. I stress that these character zones are SUPPOSED to work, but it’s very rarely actually enforced. Our managers really didn’t care and I’m pretty sure other managers in other stores are the same way. We just had free reign wherever when we wore the costumes lol.
Yeah that would be nice but itd be more nicer seeing them going around interacting with kids which what happened with Chuck when I went to CEC last year instead of dancing
I think the REAL reason behind CEC getting rid of the animatronics was because of angry parents saying it encouraged their kids to play FNAF, or gave them trauma. I definitely found the animatronics as creepy. It was a tall Avenger Chuck animatronic. Though I guess I'm biased since I hated creepy things, and already hated video games. Nowadays, I know that what I actually hate are overly edgy, creepy video games, which were the talk of my town back in the early to late 2010s, at least to me. They were the only video games I heard of before July of 2018, before moving to Florida, 4 months after turning 10, aside from the games in Chuck E. Cheese. My whole experience with Rockstar Chuck and Avenger Chuck is a little, all over the place, and impacted by tons of random little stuff from daily New York City life in the Bronx before 2019. First of all, I found Rockstar much more approachable and family friendly than Avenger Chuck. I think the problem for me was that Avenger Chuck had a pink face with a black nose, and I have a bit of trauma from mascots with that kind of face from one that I saw in Florida before moving to New York in 2010. Meanwhile, Rockstar's face was grey, so he just looked nicer to me. Speaking of nicer, Rockstar seemed a lot nicer than Avenger. I wasn't a cool kid. I was more of a shy, timid kid. Still kinda am. So Avenger Chuck's voice coming out of a speaker at full volume didn't really do it for me. Plus, I can't really recall any commercial I could find online where he had a soft voice where he just slowed down a little for me, and just spoke. Meanwhile Rockstar had that one commercial where he was cleaning up after a long day, and spoke softly to the audience. Really got me. I can't invision Avenger Chuck having a soft voice like that, since it went against his whole character, so Rockstar was more approachable to me. The use of mascots made the Avenger Chuck shows unwatchable. Meanwhile, Rockstar's overusage of the puppets reminded me more of Sesame Street, which I really liked, which you could argue doesn't work in making Chuck E. Cheese unique, but to me it, it mattered that I could now watch the songs without covering my eyes in fear. And the final reason why Rockstar Chuck was able to work better for me is actually based on the location, and how I got there. Now, here comes a lesson on the New York City subway and its rolling stock. The Chuck E. Cheese with Avenger Chuck was located at St. Nicolas near the 125th Street station on the A, B, C, and D lines. The one with Rockstar Chuck was located at the Bronx Terminal Market near Yankee Stadium on the 4 line. We would usually take the D train from our home station, Tremont Avenue, and ride it to 125th St. On the way, we would have to stop by the 145th St station, where B trains would terminate. Now here's where things get a little hard to explain without using the subway map, but basically, sometimes the terminal for B trains was at 145th St, and other times it would be at Bedford Park Boulevard further up north. Sometimes a B train would arrive, while the D train doors were open, and it would start honking. Here's where the rolling stock names come in. The R68s/As have some of the loudest horns in the subway that I have ever heard, as well as "air weeshes." Watch a video and you'll see. Even when the B train is static, the sight of seeing a B train completely motionless, on the middle track of the platform, with some doors halfway open was really creepy, especially just to go play some games. Plus, it's all underground, so the first thing I see when coming back up to street level and seeing the sky and completely adjusted my eyes to the brightness, is Avenger Chuck, with his droopy eyelids and large open mouth and teeth which I always hated. Meanwhile, the path to the Bronx Terminal Market was elevated, on the 4 train, which I love the propulsion on the R142As, and bright and sunny the whole way through. And usually after a day at Chuck E. Cheese, we would go to Target which was a few levels above, since it was a mall. Even so, I just have more fond memories of the Jerome Avenue line, and also 176th Street, my other home station. Plus, it was by itself, and the uptown terminal wasn't for a good few more stations. This was my experience with Rockstar and Avenger Chuck. Hey, I told you it influenced by random little elemtns of daily New New New life. Nowadays, I do prefer Avenger, and agree with a lot of your points. I mean, I had a whole bag full of paper tickets that I never got to use (From the Bronx Terminal Market of course). But, it is what it is. CEC is never going to do anything about it now. It's not like it's possible to bring a design back in use after completely replacing it. As of this time, I've only been to Chuck E. Cheese like 3 times since arriving here in Florida in July of 2018. Sigh.
I remember going to Chuck E. Cheese’s for my little brothers birthday party in 1993. The walk around chuck was very entertaining. My mom had me wear a Minnie Mouse shirt, and the chuck would point at Minnie and fan himself like he was in love lol. The show was really cool too. Chuck had a jersey accent and we thought that was so funny. This would have been the Joliet, IL location, if it is still there. Also the chuck at this time had a tuxedo on.
youre lucky, that was around the time chuck was starting to become a fun loving cool teen (which isnt bad but its nice to see people remembering tuxedo chuck)
For me, when comparing the iconography of Rockstar and Avenger Chuck, one thing sticks out to me THE LACK OF A HAT! The hat is such an iconic thing for Chuck-E, without it he can look like a normal rat (or ig a mouse now). And the old store logos included some of his shirt and some of his hands, but now it's just a cartoon mouse head!
You forgot to mention the change of the Chuck E Cheese characters histories when they changed the lyrics to Every Boy and Every Girl. Also they screwed up the feel and look of Together We Got it.
I’m not a Chuck E. Cheese fan this just seemed interesting… I feel like an adult room wouldn’t work considering most parents would wanna be with there 5 year old kids, I do agree with a retro style games mini arcade and separate room for beer. But that’s my view from not being a fan, I do agree with a lot you said here hopefully someone sees this video and (CEO) and we can have some changes to keep Chuck E. Cheese a safe environment for everyone
Another reason for the removal of animatronic and physical entertainment (from the company itself) "Budget is a problem, and animatronic repairs and upkeeps are expensive, and cost a lot of money to repair, and keep the animatronics up to shape." What a lie this was, you can afford to build your place to look like a fully futuristic pizza place, with a dance floor that probably costs a buck ton to fix and have futuristic lighting on your building. But you remove animatronics due to a "budget" issue. Hell, making a restaurant and having over 100+ locations having to implement 2.0 already costs a buck ton. This is just disgraceful, and future kids that would enjoy CEC will not be able to experience the things we all did as children. What a step down from the great magical place where a kid can be a kid, eat pizza, watch robots sing songs, and watch Chuck E himself preform Infront of your eyes. Now, it's like having a pizza hut with a guy coming out to dance while you eat. It's uncomfortable, and a poor design choice for a future CEC design.
When i first heard of 2.0 i was expecting it to go to failing location with animaltronics in a state of disrepair but it going to location like florence kentucky and rumored to go to pineville nc Edit: 2 NC locations got 2.0 concord and Greensboro
it’ll probably never happen as cec is already focused on remodeling every location, and it would be dumb if they remodeled just to remodel back to the old chuck.
21:42 I would actually argue with this point. I don't know if it was like this at all other locations but our chuck would preform at the entrance that meant if you just got there you start dancing right away
I totally agree with the whole "CEC not making a big deal about the animatronic shows" thing. They should make it like they did before, with lights that dim while the show, loud audio, curtains, and showroom walls. I also believe they should: - Buy select Dave & Buster's and Main Event locations and rebrand them as "Super Chuck E. Cheese's" (that'd be cool), - Add the retro games room (that idea is awesome), - Bring back the animatronics (of course), - Hire entertainers that are actually entertaining, and - Bring back the indoor playground portion/the Skytubes.
i go to the cec in louisville and i went there a few months ago and i’m so happy they didn’t remove the studio c bot. but sadly it looks like there moving things for space for the dance floor.
15:43 Nathan: they got rid of the animatronics Nathan: don't hear me Me: yes I heard yo- Nathan THEY GOT RID OF THE ANIMATRONICS! THATS RIGHT THE BELOVED ANIMATRONICS THAT BEEN WITH THE COMPANY SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING WERE TAKEN DOWN IN ORDER OF A SHITTY DANCE FLOOR! ME: OW MY EARS!
Chuck’s nose being velcroed and removable is intentional. It’s a safety measure to prevent suffocation, just in case the head gets difficult to remove.
if they did add back animatronics, i want them to also bring ack the side acts like the king, Dollie dimples, ect. i would also like to see them swap out animatronics from time to time! like 1 month Helen is on stage and the next month madam oink is honking the spotlight! what im really trying to say is that i want the old stage back. i never got to experience the side stages and the main stage with the warrblettes and that waving flag animatronic!
When ever I go to Chuck E cheese nowadays, the only animatronic there is Chuck E! No Hellen, No Munch, No Jasper, No one but Chuck E! and I want to see them again!
Actually Dartmouth didn't remodel "yet" they just have the logo up, I have been there twice in one month I have video proof, also ignore my channel logo I recently left the fnaf community so this is likely to change
What if time traveling was a thing, and we show Nolan Bushnell back during the peak of PTT in the 80s on what would happen to his creation in the following decades. Bro would have a stroke upon seeing them removing the animatronic 💀💀💀💀
A modern alternative to the animatronic stage would be, I don't know, a Pepper's ghost trick similar to how the Miku concerts do it ? It's not an animatronic stage, but at least you could get some models and some animators/actors and have them animate the cec crew doing dances to songs, and when something goes wrong ? It's super easy to fix ! Just figure out if it's the glass, the reflector, or the projector, take them off, and troubleshoot them at a table !!
I am never going to step in to a chunk e cheese again this makes me sad the animatronics made me so happy there the best I hope cec entertainment realizes what there doing
@@bluegold1026 Every version of Chuck from PTT to Avenger are the same rat at different moments in life. Rockstar Chuck is the cousin they don't talk about who drinks glue because it makes his mouth feel funny.
All the plans that you think it works they do need something there to entertain themselves I think that's a great idea and bring all the classic arcade games also I think the Studio C bought they need to keep ask for the other ones they're pretty much expensive even Aaron Factor calling much harder to maintain
1:49 Says that as there's no actual screaming present in the video (unless you count "THEY GOT RID OF THE ANIMATRONICS!). Not like I want you to destroy your vocal cords for our entertainment, but still a weird thing to say there's screaming involved if there isn't actually any, which comes off as it just being thrown in on the spot. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this video. I remember you teasing this video, and finally being able to watch it over a year ago. I just wanted to point out something weird I noticed on a re-watch, as well as the fact that it was shocking to learn that kids actually liked animatronics at an age younger than 10. Really liked the editing, and just the video in general, even if I am a year late in saying that.
I took my son a couple days ago for his birthday(man im getting old asf) and i couldnt agree more. Going here myself as a kid, realizing the hideous changes and degradation in most parts of the place. Most notably the card instead of tokens. Those damn tokens were the bees knees. Dont get me started on how hype it was to just be here. The tight shoulder to shoulder games, now basically half emptied out and the lackluster insides. This place used to be a masterpiece. Now its a clustering fusterchuck
Who even are these new VeggieTales voice actors? Stupid, greedy Universal bastards getting rid of Phil, Mike, Lisa and Kurt over money and control. Having someone who didn't create a property you did take full control of your creation is like having a total stranger taking full custody of your child. And VeggieTales is Phil and Mike's child.
Oi, what makes this ironic is that older CEC tapes from the late 90's-early 2010's sometimes played VT songs when the bots weren't performing; I remember seeing that Gated Community song onscreen vividly and was fascinated at a collab like that lol there's even an article on it on the black Lost Media Archive site
Here’s an idea I have, If CEC decides to not auction off the animatronics, then they should put them on display somewhere in the restaurant like what the Guatemala Location did when they relocated
That's the same idea I have take the animatronics you're going to destroy or whatever you're going to destroy and put them in his display case for everybody to see
I think it’s funny how you used the ShowBiz Pizza Place logo and put the Chuck E. Cheese logo inside it! 😂 No hate intended, cuz I loved this video and I agreed with EVERYTHING you had to say about 2.0! 😁
You know, with the retro arcade vision, CEC could honestly strike a deal with Arcade 1up to supply arcade games as they've been making home arcade cabinets themselves.
Because, like you said, it seems that everything old is new.
holy moly, it took me forever to read the whole comment.

wow hi cec stages. you made alot of my childhood with your vids from 2015
they took away what made chuck e cheese actually worth going to, it feels like a hallow shell of what it was before, and I think it began when they started removing the animatronics from the locations. they were what made it unique, now it's just a kid's arcade and there's nothing special about it. great video as always
p.s. i also liked literally all of the comments from this video. my speed clicking skills have not gone to waste from stopmotion. have a good day
It's not all dead bro.
Agreed with you! I hate cards and I miss those golden tokens and miss those paper tickets!
Yeah, the could have just simply added a dance floor in front of the stage.
While working for CEC, my favorite part of the job was performing as “Chuck E.” I always received compliments from management and guests on my energy and enthusiasm while performing. I was serious about bringing the character to life.
Honestly I don't see why people hate it. Your job is literally dress up, dance, make kids happy, go home and get paid.
I definitely want to do that sometime soon
Cheers🤙🏻
The animatronics are better than the stupid dance floor

I can't believe my own Chuck E Cheese in Pennsylvania got taken down, due to the 2.0 Update. I loved everything about my Chuck E Cheese, and even though I moved from Pennsylvania, I still get to visit it every once and a while.
I'm just soured out by how much CEC has taken the Nostalgia from and out of our childhoods! Still, this a rant that I can perfectly agree on for reasons. Thank you, Nathan!
As a person who had a bad experience with CEC, I agree. These are some pretty bad changes. They need to start listening to their fans.
I agree
I agree with you, I hope that cec it's a better manager and things start going back to where they were, and listen to the community
@@hunterleach5710 there not gonna do that. it’s a business
I did this too!"
But now that I know tickets are gone, it's just kinda sad that a lot of kids now won't be able to experience that kind of joy. Where people can see that you won. That there's proof other than your words.
Yeah so now I’ve been collecting playpasses but I did this even before the tickets were gone
@ 10:13-11:08 - You hit the nail on the head there, buddy! In fact, it would've been up there on the list with other bad business decisions like:
It's really easy to tell when someone doesn't wanna be somewhere.
Thanks for being a good preformer and probably making some kids a lot happier than they would be if a non enthusiastic performer had to wear the costume.
@@Axos_Abode No problem! 👍 it's easy doin' something you love! ⭐
I mean she was programed with breast physics so she would work with the adult entertainment well I think
My kid hates 2.0 and never stops talking trash about it. Especially after our location got 2.0(it was an a studio c alpha) he is very sad... and he's a kid.... chuck e cheese listens to kids right?
Apparently that was long ago so srry to hear this from ur kid btw
I belive rokstar chuck debued în 2012,but he was aint used till 2013, în the year 2013 thay made a mascot but not use it alot, and btw new rokstar is trash
The former CEO actually would blame Scott Cowthan for the kids to stop looking at the robots. Fnaf is speculated around Chuck E. Cheese and their success. And he probably removed them because he was afraid that fnaf was brainwashing kids into thinking r9bot pizzarias are bad. And yes he did make the robots a sideshow...
Interesting, as both a CEC and Fnaf fan, I did not know this
Where was this said? I'm interested
What does he mean by side show they aren’t as a sideshow in any restaurant
@@Strasburg_Railfaner611 I mean the CEC CEO did make the animatronics get less attraction.
Maybe if they made all the animatronics look less FNAF-like, just like the Studio C Chuck E.
And I've said this to many but

I agree Rockstar Chuck is shit Avenger Chuck is better

I agree with you
Wow
The classic design hits different
My known CEC and childhood location is still in Phase 3 with an old logo and still has the Studio C Alpha animatronic and stage. I have to visit it soon to see how it has changed asides from keeping the animatronic.
Fun enough I always kept thinking that CEC should start some sort vintage franchise that targets adults who used to enjoy Chuck E. Cheese/Showbiz Pizza back in the days.

The Animatronics
There’s still some locations that still have them but I’m not sure about ur state
I think that they should bring back
The animatronics
Tokens and tickets
Have chuck e cheese come every hour
Have the animatronics sing segments again and do cover songs again
Use mascots more in music videos and still use puppets to but mostly use mascots
Ticket blaster
If every location has the stupid dance floor have all 5 of the chuck e cheese mascot characters
The cover songs were really expensive to do.
And also I rather be better without the animatronics
@@JuntifyEntertainment cover songs are better then the songs they sing
that’ll never happen there not bringing those back ever

Honestly Five Nights at Freddy's gave me more respect for CEC and it's history, and I think the horror aspect FNAF gave was interesting.

Now I have a Jasper mascot being a CEC big fan as well as collector and I love taking Jasper out I do my best giving him personality and it never ceases when people want to stop and get pictures with him and it makes me happy seeing other people happy
Some people know who Jasper is and some don't I also have an original CEC name badge with Jasper's picture on it that I wear as well
But when you see somebody smile or honk when you're walking by or wave and say hey dog or hey Jasper then it just makes every minute of it worth it but I enjoy doing it anyway regardless 💯👍🙂🐾🐶
Awesome video by the way I'm glad you're standing up for what you believe in and should be
The question is, how will the company see this video? All they do is ignore fan service.
If Bella ends up becoming a permanent member, Pasquale is going to be visiting Crusty.
They should’ve added crusty back instead of bella
Favts
They could’ve used any of the guest stars from the 70s/80s like crusty or madame oink.
I don’t think it was needed to make a new character when they already had characters that could’ve been brought back up again.
I’d imagine fans who grew up with the PTT era would be way happier with that than what they got.
They add any of those characters from that era and Fans won’t get upset about a newbie getting shoehorned and replacing a 30+ year old character. Seems like a win win and an easy solution.
Crusty was better than Mr munch
it would have been cool if they made the dance floor wrap around the stage, and also if they never got rid of the curtains, so that when the curtains close, the costumes come out to dance with kids or something.
3:55 are we going to forget the fact that john widelock was in the same room with scott when gene landrum said "Thats our new chuck e!" Like bro duncan not being told was basically what they did to john
If I were to become the new CEO of CEC, here are the changes I would make:
* Stop 2.0 and work with Garner-Holt to create a new animatronic show; these animatronics would have LED eyes allowing them to do "wild takes" (like Munch's eyes turning into pizzas or Helen's eyes becoming a Pong game), and would be across four stages: Stage Left would still be Pasqually on drums at Pasqually's Amateur Hour, Center Stage would be Helen on rhythm guitar, Munch on keyboard, and Jasper on banjo, Stage Right would be Chuck E. on lead guitar and a returning Crusty the Cat as a DJ, and the fourth stage would be the "guest stage", where rotating guest stars would be featured, including Madame Oink, Foxy Colleen, and Harmony Howlette (not Sally Sashay, because disco is dead)
* Begin the process of "Concept Division"; first and foremost, I would work my ASS off to mend fences with Aaron Fechter, and work to bring back the ShowBiz brand and the Rock-afire Explosion
* Hire fans to write the shows, since they clearly understand the characters better than whoever is writing the shows right now and turning them into Bootleg Sesame Street (for the RAE, I'd give CEI complete and total control, let them make the talking parts as long as they want, do whatever songs they want, and take as many potshots at past CEC/ShowBiz executives as they want)
* Limit the use of puppets to intermissions, use clever auralvisual tricks to make it seem like the animatronics are real people who are walking around, and overall reduce reliance on CyberStar
* Go back to the old show format with song covers and the CEC TV branding
* Resurrect the Cabaret concept, and put it in a more-upscale part of the store for adults; characters would include Dolli Dimples, Artie Antlers, Elkton John, and Glen Camel
* Bring back the showroom walls, curtains, dimmed lighting, and louder audio
Yep but the reason they quit doing covers is cause music licensing is so expensive
The only things that should happen is return of covers and dimming
But everything else should not happen
Aaron Fechter is a terrible person so don’t let him back in
@@manchestershiresauce yeah but music license is expensive so song covers are impossible
incredily expensive moment
It doesn’t make sense to make a character look more cool or hip, like you said characters like Mickey Mouse sonic and Ronald McDonald have almost never changed and are still beloved today
Also I think they should give more recognition to the others in the band because I can’t even count how many times they have called them “the dog” or “the chef”
Someone literally called Munch Barney once lol
@@TherealRNOwwfpooh Well, the Rock afire Explosion is a lot better than Munch's Make Believe Band. But of course, that's just my opinion.
I can't wait to see the history of chuck E cheese at Florence KY
Honestly I think other than removing the animatronics I think CEC is heading in the right direction under the new CEO I actually met him he's a pretty nice guy
Here are the bad things i can say for 2.0:
1-The obvious one. They removed the thing that made cec unique from any pizza parlor, The animatronics
2-As Nathan mentioned the dance floors are really hard to fix and break most of the time
3-Oh. did i mention that CEC made a collab with LankyBox? (yes that roblox youtuber who steals other peoples art and does clickbait roblox adopt me videos?)
25:47 There is a game at my local location, Rockford, which is a coin pusher that is in the entrance corner last time I went. Construction themed. Loved that thing since a kid. It will give you a token in order to play the game if you swipe your card. Good to know that I can still keep my collection up. Even got a Showbiz token from there, somehow. And, the youtube channel made an animatronics playlist, though it isn't the best.
As a kid i was obsessed with the animatronics everytime i was in chuck e cheese
20:00 better idea they should've done from the start, put all their old stuff in a museum for people to see
Honestly, it’s sad because I only went to Cec once many years ago... and I think the robots were either already gone, or it was just because I was sat in the very back and couldn’t see anything (visual problems), but I don’t think I ever actually saw the robots perform. Which now that I’m an animatronic fan, breaks my heart. Especially since most places with animatronics have closed down. I’d do anything just to see one animatronic show in person. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like it will happen.
Only the chuck E robot is there.
There is a Chuck e cheese in Springfield Missouri it has the full band
If your interested in a 3 stage (previous showbiz pizza) I reccomend Springfield Illinois

Update: I highly agree on this rant, the only thing I like about CEC nowadays is the shows, this is why I'm moving to Dave And Busters and Round1
Sigh.
To you they’re scary but to me,to me they were my fucking friends and my only friends!
Fnaf just made the animatronics more interessing, its a sucess to kids, but the parents and the company dont understand that
@@Wizardjones69 Wow. Looks like I'm the minority. New low for me, let me tell you.
Damn this is so real as if Dave and busters has a dance floor.
Woodsy Owl was burned, but that was to ensure the new Woodsy is the only Woodsy and to protect the owl's image. But still, that's just awful.
Someone needs to probably sabotage the dance floors in order to get them to bring back the animatronics
these kids too enthusiastic smh
For me, when comparing the iconography of Rockstar and Avenger Chuck, one thing sticks out to me
THE LACK OF A HAT!
Song Title feels like a PTT era skit .
When i first heard of 2.0 i was expecting it to go to failing location with animaltronics in a state of disrepair but it going to location like florence kentucky and rumored to go to pineville nc
Edit: 2 NC locations got 2.0 concord and Greensboro

it’ll probably never happen as cec is already focused on remodeling every location, and it would be dumb if they remodeled just to remodel back to the old chuck.

I also believe they should:
- Buy select Dave & Buster's and Main Event locations and rebrand them as "Super Chuck E. Cheese's" (that'd be cool),
- Add the retro games room (that idea is awesome),
- Bring back the animatronics (of course),
- Hire entertainers that are actually entertaining, and
- Bring back the indoor playground portion/the Skytubes.
Personally I don’t mind rockstar chuck but REMOVING THE ANIMATRONICS IS WHEN THEY CROSSED THE LINE
i go to the cec in louisville and i went there a few months ago and i’m so happy they didn’t remove the studio c bot. but sadly it looks like there moving things for space for the dance floor.

I like the idea of adding Bella bunny to the cast, plus she might be ineresting like we could learn about what she likes to do.
In my opinion, the 2.0 remodel is basically concept unification, all over again, but besides the animatronics staying part

Here’s an idea for the adult room maybe have some large
Puppets designed after the portrait bots perform for the adults
I took my son a couple days ago for his birthday(man im getting old asf) and i couldnt agree more. Going here myself as a kid, realizing the hideous changes and degradation in most parts of the place.
Most notably the card instead of tokens. Those damn tokens were the bees knees. Dont get me started on how hype it was to just be here. The tight shoulder to shoulder games, now basically half emptied out and the lackluster insides. This place used to be a masterpiece. Now its a clustering fusterchuck
CEC has to also add a room for toddlers too! Kinda like a day care but something more than just a day care
*toddler zone crying in the corner*
When you make a disclaimer about swearing in the start of a video, you already know it's going down
Well it could be worse than Phil, Lisa, and Mike being replaced by new voice actors in the veggie-tales podcast.
Basically if CEC entertainment kept Bella as a side character, then people wouldn’t hate her as much as they do now
Here’s an idea I have, If CEC decides to not auction off the animatronics, then they should put them on display somewhere in the restaurant like what the Guatemala Location did when they relocated
That's the same idea I have take the animatronics you're going to destroy or whatever you're going to destroy and put them in his display case for everybody to see
@@hunterleach5710 that is exactly what they should do
I think it’s funny how you used the ShowBiz Pizza Place logo and put the Chuck E. Cheese logo inside it! 😂
No hate intended, cuz I loved this video and I agreed with EVERYTHING you had to say about 2.0! 😁
You know, with the retro arcade vision, CEC could honestly strike a deal with Arcade 1up to supply arcade games as they've been making home arcade cabinets themselves.
Even the kids hate 2.0
The truth is that there’s no stopping it. CEC is probably gonna force all locations to remodel.
I'm pretty sure franchise locations dont have to
