Does 'Intent' matter in sexual harassment cases?

    Stop talking to women in office unless it’s related to work. I never compliment women on work or appearance. That’s the rule I follow. The most of I have told my female colleagues is Good Job or Job well done.
    Also it depends on women as well. If they are attracted to someone they will take the joke but not with someone whom they are not attracted to. So guys stay away from women in your office.

    It is better to leave them alone,else anyone can make any story,men means, by mind pervert etc.always carry the prejudice against them.even found innocent, means another round of litigation and such cases are always subjective, vary from petson to person.

    Based on Orientation given to us on job: (working environment, not for street or social gathering)
    According to USA. Sexual harassment is under civil right acts. Sexual harassment is not about sex. It is about power. Power to control working environment of the employee.
    So Shak hand is yes & no. Woman must say she does not like this gesture. After that people do it than it can be construed as harassment. Same for compliment & clothes they wear.
    But seating arrangement, promotion.. assigning work so that one can take advantage..... this are serious issue.

      Most of the cases filed are false. And laws are against men. Laws are regressive and don't take into account the fact that men are equally harassed by wom en. The laws are insane. Not gender neutral. Not treating men as victims and wome n as perpetrators which happens often. And treats complements as a criminal offense. The best thing that men can do is avoid wom en and stop complementing them. Stop employing wom en altogether. An all male work environment is far more productive than a co gendered environment because wom en have so many excuses, drama and fights.
