83 Donruss should be an air freshener smell. Love the old school whiff from a throwback
The San Diego Chicken was originally called the KGB Chicken, the call letters of a radio station in SD. Jon Wathan does indeed hold the modern record for most stolen bases by a catcher in a season with 36.
Wow! I scored a Tony Gwynn? I’m so exciting to add that to my PC! As an A’s fan, I’m stoked for the Henderson as well!
Love that sandburg card! Also love the wrappers of these cards! So basic and classic!
Great video once again! Love Throwback Thursday!! Lot of memories.
Thanks for sharing!! God Bless
did you know? .......Donruss company was started by two guys.....one guys name was Don and his partners name was Russ......thus the name Don-Russ.
9:02 Britt Burns’ mother Nancy used to be a member of my church in Birmingham Alabama. One Sunday Britt and his family came and my father had a stack of Britt Burns cards and a sharpie ready. Almost every kid in the church at the time had an autographed Britt Burns card.
I got a box of 89 Topps and pulled 8 Randy Johnson Rookie cards....and I pulled 3 out of the 2nd Box...crazy
awesome throwback thursday, got to see 4 tony gwynn rookies!!!!
Classic boxes Erik! Gwynn and Ripken were my heroes growing up..
Great TBT. Can't believe no Boggs! Nice pulls on Gwynn. Thanks for.sharing.
Tonight I opened a value box of 2018 Topps Gallery and got Acuna Jr., Soto, and Albies rookie cards all back to back in the same pack!!!😁😁😁
@White Obama Is Beta O'Rourke they are some nice looking cards and good quality. I've only bought two value boxes of it and pulled some really good cards. Lots of numbered and sp. Gallery and Topps Chrome Update are my favorite. Hope you get the cards you're looking for!
These beautiful cards were a vast improvement over the box of Donruss 1981 garbage you opened for us in another video! 🙂👍
Craig Biggio was a catcher who used to steal a lot.
Nice TBT break. A Tony Gwynn RC bonanza! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing amount of info coming off. Thanks Jabs! Gwyn n
1983 Donruss 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was one of the best throwback's you have had and only thing holding it back from the best is NOT pulling that Boggs but still a great vid and gratz to all that got lucky.
It’s so weird seizing you open these boxes and only finding one of each of the top cards. I’d find sometimes multiple Sot after cards in a box and had some packs with two or three of the same card stuck together. I’ve bought only one pack of 86 Donruss and had three rated rookie Jose Canseco and a Fred Mc Griff in that pack. Even the store employees at the card store was jealous.
Can you open something from 1999-2005 i totally missed those years. Prefer something high end or at least chance of rare insert. Be cool to see what we missed from those years!
Tony G still "hitting" in the afterlife..RIP👍
That Gwynn was nice, maybe 55-45 centering but sharp card.
Always a favorite of this set!
Is it possible to do 89 or 90 leaf for a throwback Thursday? Good rookies in those sets.
There was no 89 leaf
That was a hot box with 4 gwynn and of course 5 whatan. nice break.
Love the 1983 Donruss !!
You always get the best Erik 👍🏻
Great color 2nd Gwynn
That Gwynn rookie is niiiice!
I like the backs of those old Donruss a lot. Not sure why lol
Fast catcher Craig Biggio from the Astros. Started as a catcher them moved to 2nd base.
I watched Biggio play for the Tuscon Toros while living in Las Vegas and watching the LV Stars the Padres affiliate. Saw lots of great players while in Las Vegas. Kevin McReynolds, Shane Mack, John Kruck, Roberto Alomar, Sandy Alomar Jr., Lots of great memories.
35:35 John Wathan is the haunterer of dreams.
If John Wathan was worth anything ... You'd be "Wathan" all the way to the bank!

I have an autographed Chicken card haha. Not sure but I think it is an '82D.
GREAT BREAK!!
I'm seriously debating buying a BBCE box. I picked up an opened box this year for $2 with all 36 wrappers and 533/540 possible cards. So I'd love to try to complete the set. I'm about 220 short.
Do you like the baseball logo on the 82 or the glove logo on the 83 better? I think the glove made it harder to read the team names.
Nice video
Someone threw that ball up before so it looked like he was bout to hit it lol
Just found this box and a 85 box in my garage lol
Just found this box and a 85 box in my garage lol
Memories, thanks.
How is there not one Boggs in 2 box breaks🤔
In addition to the Molitor being the tip off, all had a back to back Diamond King with the first being Fernando (3 of 4 gwynns)
Dang, Erik! You just dropped the value of the Gwynn Donruss RC by pulling 4 out of 2 boxes!!
Love 1983 donruss
Can't wait to see what in there
I counted a while back it was either 35 or 36 wathan cards in 81 donruss
Was that upside down card that crazy dude from nerds ?
Thought Wayne Gross said Wade Boggs
There is a Starting Lineup show and convention near my house next weekend. This i have to see lol.
Nice cards
You should do 89 upper deck
Back in the day when they would give you alot of cards per pack.
You should use some super chat money to invest in one-touch holders
Just picked 10 up for the 1978 Topps cello break
@@JabsFamily Awesome
do '79 topps next please
I know this isn't really related to the video but I have reason to believe that topps actually rigs the packs based on where you live. I live in Ohio and the Reds are my team and I have only got 1 reds card out of 25+ packs. This is very disappointing and I was wondering if I am right or wrong. Can somebody please let me know about this. I think that they do this so you will continue buying packs. I think this is pretty low of a thing to do if they I am right.
Want a old mariners hat
My kidneys failed after you said Major League 2 was better than Major League.
I have this set. Alot of miscut cards
Clu Heywood!
What happened to your ballhawking videos?
Cha--ching!! $1000 for 2 boxes??
Fun packs to rip
15:05 - Steve Swisher = Nick Swisher's pop
Love Me some tbt
Boggs was a better overall player than Ryno but Boggs didnt stay in Boston as Ryno stayed in Chicago. Boggs led the league in batting 5 of his first seven years and I believe he had the record of most 200 hit seasons in a row but i think ichiro broke it.
Gr8 Job Mr. Jab's
you got my attention!😨
I would love to buy that HoJo rookie 3:07 my favorite player. How much does that card cost?
@White Obama Is Beta O'Rourke My boy HoJo rookie only a buck? John Wathan's rookie is probably worth more lol 😔.
You and your brother need to correctly pronounce Ryne as (Rhine) not Ryan...its disrespectful lol
1
Huh huh lol lol
The Curse of John Wathan!
First like ha!
I left my hydro flask in the Spanish room.
YoungArtizt are you one of his students? Lmao
I'll put it in my desk and you can get it next year, unless you want me to take it to the office for you to pick up.
Yeah, I'll just wait until next year.
Wait why major league 2? Just wanna know what it's like to have such a bad and wrong opinion
What sort of psychopath favors Major League II over the original Major League? 😥
Eric please make videos at the pirates game again also can you do a QNA video
I haven't gone there in 3 weeks.
Are you going to go to the games again
