Shanghai is one of the world's greatest cities for walking and in this video we show you the main streets of the old downtown, along Nanjing and Fuzhou Roads, filled with life, color, food, shops, and people everywhere -- so much fun!
Seeing Shanghai ten years ago, the memory slowly, this is the value of the documentary, thank you! I am documenting Shanghai, leaving the current image.
Excellent man-on-the-street account. I have been here several times but missed the morning dos like employee exercises, fan dance, tai chi, hair cuts, etc. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the short but good introduction to Shanghai. The last time i visited Shanghai was 13 years ago. Raffles City was not built yet. Plan to visit this May and i hope the food court at Raffles City is not crowded like this video have shown.
This makes me want to visit Shanghai.
Thanks for the informative tour!

@quachingducks wow I'd can't wait to visit China soon one day. Do you speak any Mandarin? I'd manage it'd be quite hard to get around if you don't. What did you like about Hangzhou? I haven't heard much at all about that city. What an amazing place China is.
@quachingducks I remember Hangzhou now, I just read about it like two days ago and I've already forgotten o.O haha, its meant to be quite beautiful right with a large lake. Was this your first time in China?
shanghai is always my favourite place.
cant wait to go : D
GOOD JOBS...........................................FROM BOISE IDAHO USA
It looks wonderful there. Would a western tourist have to learn to haggle to buy in the old section or end up paying too much for items ?
@quachingducks How was your trip?
Fuzhou Street was where arts supply and bookstores were located in the pre-Communist days. Much of the elegance of old China is now lost so its difficult for visitors to understand the charm and atmosphere that made Shanghai the Paris of the East. But this video does show its vibrancy as it is today although even this video seems dated seeing this in 2018.
