    Even if his English isn't perfect, the way he presented it, got straight to the point and really made it super simple, is just awesome! Thank you very much!

    I know this video is a few years old but.......I spent a whole day today in a design thinking class with hands on practice. I walked out of that session still not fully understanding the concept. After listening to this TedTalk I understand it much better. Your English was very good, I understood every concept, you took a very complex subject and simplified it. Your energy was fine. Please don’t listen to the criticism. You did an exceptional job explaining this!!!

      A simple and clean definition of design thinking without too much jargons and beating around the bush. Most importantly the part where and how it's implied in real world examples. Good content made me listen more to your talk. How will you judge a presentor quality is how well the listeners understood the concept. Thank you.

    I enjoyed his simple approach to his presentation. For some reason I can't wrap my head around Design thinking; I read up on some books, searched online and watched a couple of ted ed talks but I still didn't fully understand it. This was good, no flowery words, just direct to the point.

      I disagree.. this presentation is mostly about the product development... I think this video does not impose any good examples of Design Thinking, but yes creative thinking...

    When you design for the people, people buy your products. Makes sense. Difference from an engineered or business driven solution vs. a design solution. We're entering an age of excess, people really don't need more stuff, it ends up becoming waste and harmful to the planet in the long-run. People need and want the right things at the right time. How do we give them access when appropriate? What's the best way to reach out? You won't know until you do the design research.

    Thanks for this teaching on design thinking. Very much worth the time. I wonder if you could help with suggestions of how to apply design thinking in social entrepreneurship? Thanks.
    And is there a specific number of people you need to interview in the empathy stage?

    • @prabuprabuprabuable
      @prabuprabuprabuable 3 роки тому

      I believe in any given industry or market, the number of interview is not that crucial. Based on Nielsen's learning, for qualitative method, the number of interviews or FGDs needed to achieve comprehensive findings is 6-8. As it already covers 90%+ of the current behavior and customer journey.
      To validate the findings against general population, then you need to do survey to specific numbers of respondents (quantitative). But most of the time, qualitative approach alone is sufficient to achieve needed insights.

    This is my 4th watching of varied youtube design thinking videos. Is it just me..?/ but I am left wondering....would they get to the point?, or at least explain in a clear whole picture way rather than completely scattered. And I am a graduate in interdisciplinary studies too. I am highly creative, but I want to fall asleep on this and the other 3 design thinking videos! What is going on?!

    • @coldver
