a really compelling thing about camilla is that because of her own trauma, she denies the trauma of others. calling other broken people "manchildren" and downplaying their trauma to a stupid degree because she can't see past the man who traumatized her. it's interesting, and very realistic in a certain way. the writing in this show is godly.

She claims mental superiority. Against a being who invented teleportation and has ages of advanced technology and even more schematics that he didn't implement.
Jaguar King she fought a whole army from hell itself, she might have not won in the end but she finessed a ton of asses from hell all on her own even whilst injured so it’s very easy to imagine that she’s much more powerful than the trio (yes, even Alucard) and mind you that Carmilla managed to kill the very man who turned her (her master) who himself, was a vampire KING, that alone proves a high level of strength. but I wouldn’t go as far as to claim that she’s more powerful than Dracula. Come on guys, even if you hate carmilla, you can’t deny how badass she was when she got all pissed off and started fighting. Bro she gave me chills with her first kill.
As for "why didn't he just jump in the holy water?", I'll give three explanations that I think are all simultaneously correct 1: Hector has nobody. He essentially shunned humans and became a tool of the vampires. Given that he really is an innocent child-like soul, he likely feels that he needs others- doubly so when vampires are the only ones that accept him for his gifts. Carmilla may be a manipulative bitch, but she is 100% right when saying that he made his choice- he can't go back to Dracula now... and he knows that 2: Even assuming that he WOULD be willing to go out on his own, he's smart enough to know that Carmilla(or any power hungry vampire) would never let him go. Jumping into that holy water would definitely have saved him in the moment, but it would've only been a delaying tactic that likely would've just ended with him in Carmilla's clutches again, only in a much worse position when it did happen (do remember that he didn't know he was going to become a mistreated slave at the time) 3: It all happened so fast. In a moment he was slapped with many realizations at once. About him and Dracula's relationship, Carmilla's intentions and the unfolding fucked up situation overall. Hector isn't a bold and capable survivor like Isaac. He lacks the confidence to do things on his own terms. Even if he never directly/consciously considered my previous two points, his own character traits kind of are at odds with the idea of brave and bold escape plans in the heat of a moment. Those are my thoughts, at least
I agreed with everything but 2. At the end of the season he seemingly thinks Carmilla will just let him walk away before she puts a collar around his neck.
Carmilla, flat out, thinks she’s smarter than everyone. In truth, she’s probably the most immature out of all of them. Hector’s learning the hard way that any one from any species can be awful.
She's a complete idiot, she is only alive because Sypha moved the castle. If she didn't, and Dracula got his hands on Carmila, he would have torn her apart limb by limb.
I think season 3 showed us even more of this part of her character. She's arrogant, blinded by ambition, and nearly childish in her expectations or planning. One of her sisters even said all she does is talk and it's them who have to actually plan everything out. She's the face but clearly not the brains in her sisterhood. I think she actually believed she could take on Dracula which is insanely stupid. Even if he didn't have the night horde or his army he's still freakin Dracula! The guy was starved, tired, and less than 20% of his normal power level. And he only does because he more or less committed suicide.

That's rather the point in regards to Hector. He ain't that bright. He let himself get suckered into Camilla's plan without even asking himself what was in it for her. He just took it for granted that Camilla had Dracula's best interests in mind and that was that. And then he enforces his daftness later to assume that they were just going to part ways. That was the next window for him to scoot was when Camilla was stuck hiding in that building. But instead he just sits around acting like he was doing her a favor and she would just let him go. Which made what happened to him in Ssn 3 a no-brainer to expect. He's the pathetic character you rather start to look forward to seeing get that final wakeup call just before he gets shredded.

May be so, but in that instance, she was right. Considering how quickly the trio took down other vampire generals, it's wise to know when you are outmatched. Her being scared of Belmont is more mature than pretending to be tough. It's immaturity that leads people to be so disillusioned in their own capabilities. Having backup plans means dividing resources. She took a gamble and it failed, like basically everyone else's plans in the series. I wouldn't single her out for this. Complaining to her sisters I'd say is less about being a child and more about being a woman. To be more specific before someone jumps on me for being misogynistic (you wouldn't be wrong though), I mean in how women tend to seek company more than men do. True she isn't perfect, but in that instance she said that line, she was right. Two of your points happened after she said those.
Technically the heroes saved her. There was no way she would have been able to kill Dracula. The only reason the heroes won was because Dracula's love for his son came through in a critical moment.
Carmilla is one of the most interesting characters out there. She actually acts like a better fuller and tried to plan for their race. It's an evil plan of course since it's treating humans as cattle but to Vampires humans are basically cattle to them. She was just a servant to a Vampire king in their area and killed him when he was deteriorating similar to what Dracula was going through. I mean, Dracula's plan is to kill every human and feed the rest of the vampire animal or pigs blood.... Carmilla's proposal is to herd them as cattle in a control environment that way they won't run out of supplies. If I was a Vampire I would very much side with Carmilla than a guy who just wants to die.
Out of carmilla speech in roasting/belittling hector non-existing masculinity, when she said 'your mine now, forgemaster' why she make it sound so sexual(didn't mind or against it's actually pretty hot) but did she really needed to make it sound so seductive or does she really like hector enough to be a sadist.
The idea is to build the suspense of her character, males do it all the time to display their sense of power. But when they do it, it's kinda creepy, but at times, silence is more powerful then words. It's the ability to intimidate your enemy. Camilla is not just a sadist, she a dictator like parasite, seizing the opportunity to take the glory of dracula's power by feeding of the scraps of his defeat from a falsehood of lies. The idea about this sounding sexual is strange to me. Because if you were a women, you might see it a different way, I can't see myself being that horny for a women who would torture and kill me for the fun of it. But then again, I wouldn't be the first to admit, that I thought about doing some of the things in which camilla is demonstrating. So who ever built her character, had to have been a female with a deep dark history or some shit.

A cow on a ranch doesn't sit and ponder the horror that awaits it in a meat processing plant, it just chews grass and fucks. A person on a human ranch? The original was quite cold, calculating and not an expressive fellow, as seen in the prequel manga. This was a guy who slaughtered an entire army of the church's forces in one battle.
He gets his own GAME. Castelvania: Curse of Darkness. It was a bit too easy for my liking, but it was creative. Eventually, Hector will finally find a girl and decide to grow up. He then becomes a total badass and a pokemon-trainer.

I'm DESPERATELY hoping Carmilla gets taken out in season 4. Her deal seems to mostly be about plans and manipulations, and I'm just expecting her to be absolute rubbish when her back is to the wall and she has to fight for her unlife.
Seems to be complicated since the local vampires are very much not undead: they can eat human food, have sex and geniunely enjoy their un-lifes. More akin to Vampire Hunter D Nobles than anything (who could both turn humans into a variety of monstrosities ranging from mindless slaves to lesser Nobles, and father kids like any human could).
I love carmilla a lot, she’s a flawed but smart villain, really think she’s well rounded. She’s badass and got shot done and pointed out everyone’s bullshit including Dracula’s with extreme accuracy and staged a really good attempt of a takeover, but she’s still way too controlling and crazy. 3: It all happened so fast. In a moment he was slapped with many realizations at once. About him and Dracula's relationship, Carmilla's intentions and the unfolding fucked up situation overall. Hector isn't a bold and capable survivor like Isaac. He lacks the confidence to do things on his own terms. Even if he never directly/consciously considered my previous two points, his own character traits kind of are at odds with the idea of brave and bold escape plans in the heat of a moment.

Carmilla, flat out, thinks she’s smarter than everyone. In truth, she’s probably the most immature out of all of them. Hector’s learning the hard way that any one from any species can be awful.
She's a complete idiot, she is only alive because Sypha moved the castle. If she didn't, and Dracula got his hands on Carmila, he would have torn her apart limb by limb.
I think season 3 showed us even more of this part of her character. She's arrogant, blinded by ambition, and nearly childish in her expectations or planning. One of her sisters even said all she does is talk and it's them who have to actually plan everything out. She's the face but clearly not the brains in her sisterhood. I think she actually believed she could take on Dracula which is insanely stupid. Even if he didn't have the night horde or his army he's still freakin Dracula! The guy was starved, tired, and less than 20% of his normal power level. And he only does because he more or less committed suicide.

That’s why she never tried to overthrow Dracula directly she knew she lack the power to challenge him even in his weakened state Dracula manage to fight his son Trevor and Sypha all at once with minimal effort and would have killed them all if he hadn’t come to his senses even she feared Dracula though she’d never admit it.

Technically the heroes saved her. There was no way she would have been able to kill Dracula. The only reason the heroes won was because Dracula's love for his son came through in a critical moment.
Carmilla is one of the most interesting characters out there. She actually acts like a better fuller and tried to plan for their race. It's an evil plan of course since it's treating humans as cattle but to Vampires humans are basically cattle to them.
She was just a servant to a Vampire king in their area and killed him when he was deteriorating similar to what Dracula was going through. I mean, Dracula's plan is to kill every human and feed the rest of the vampire animal or pigs blood....
Carmilla's proposal is to herd them as cattle in a control environment that way they won't run out of supplies. If I was a Vampire I would very much side with Carmilla than a guy who just wants to die.

Out of carmilla speech in roasting/belittling hector non-existing masculinity, when she said 'your mine now, forgemaster' why she make it sound so sexual(didn't mind or against it's actually pretty hot) but did she really needed to make it sound so seductive or does she really like hector enough to be a sadist.
The idea is to build the suspense of her character, males do it all the time to display their sense of power. But when they do it, it's kinda creepy, but at times, silence is more powerful then words. It's the ability to intimidate your enemy. Camilla is not just a sadist, she a dictator like parasite, seizing the opportunity to take the glory of dracula's power by feeding of the scraps of his defeat from a falsehood of lies. The idea about this sounding sexual is strange to me. Because if you were a women, you might see it a different way, I can't see myself being that horny for a women who would torture and kill me for the fun of it. But then again, I wouldn't be the first to admit, that I thought about doing some of the things in which camilla is demonstrating. So who ever built her character, had to have been a female with a deep dark history or some shit.

The easiest guy of course to manipulate no arguments there. Yet carmilla showed more with hector then want to kill and overpower dracula and be a real ruler she expressed satisfaction of herself what she did, with hector it's pleasure for one who isn't a threat nor a challenge yet she still showed a tense amount of her power over one guy that is a one trick puny.
Also keep in mind that Hector, both in the games/series, suffered from abuse from both of his parents.

Seems to be complicated since the local vampires are very much not undead: they can eat human food, have sex and geniunely enjoy their un-lifes. More akin to Vampire Hunter D Nobles than anything (who could both turn humans into a variety of monstrosities ranging from mindless slaves to lesser Nobles, and father kids like any human could).
I love carmilla a lot, she’s a flawed but smart villain, really think she’s well rounded. She’s badass and got shot done and pointed out everyone’s bullshit including Dracula’s with extreme accuracy and staged a really good attempt of a takeover, but she’s still way too controlling and crazy.
