You have brightened up my day. Your videos are so welcome. .......That Hasselblad is just getting more and more awesome. Shame about the 'Boot Sniffer' ......but it takes all sorts to make the world go around! 🥴
I'm still drinking coffee without sweetener. One of the best lessons I learned on this trip. I don't think Adam has ever talked about coffee on his channel, otherwise I might have been doing it earlier.
I have followed you on UA-cam almost since you began to post videos...they have always been educational (which I have always appreciated), but are always entertaining as well. I bet I can tell you what the best day of your life has been...the day you met Amanda. Your videos prior to meeting Amanda are excellent, but the videos you have posted since meeting Amanda are exceptional. It's obvious that Amanda has been a positive influence in your life, for you now come across as someone who seems quite fulfilled with life. You are a very lucky man.
I love how the tendrils of water at the bottom of the waterfall mirror the shape of the root ball on the tree in the foreground. Great shot, as always. And again so very much enjoy the hijinks of your videos. Cheers!
I did a double take at the 02:15min mark as there was a Mitsubishi Pajaro in the background. Looks like a 1997 LWB 2.8 TD Diesel, kitted out with ladder and roof rack, now that is something to behold.. A wee bit of true 4X4 class in your videos.. who would of thunk it! From a dedicated fan shooting Tamptax K1MkII/K3MkIII even if you are shooting with the Hassle-Blah and the Silly Sony..
I had a Google ... Mitsubishi marketed the Pajero as the Montero in North America, Spain, and Latin America (except for Brazil and Jamaica) due to the term "pajero" being derogatory (meaning "wanker") in Spanish. 🤣
@@jsimes1hahaha yeah, it’s an old joke. That one is a Pajero. Fun fact. The Paris to Dakar Road rally was won 12 times by Mitsubishi Pajero, no other car/vehicle maker has done the same. Thus the name thing is really minor. Mine is a 97 2.8Turbo Diesel Long Wheel base. And with its low end torque I beat Audi/Porsche/and corvettes off the line at street lights. Of course after 75 feet the horse power kicks in and away they go to the next light. This has nothing to do with photography, I just like teasing Gavin about Sony and what ever else he is shooting. He moved away from BC before we could convince him to come to Powell river for a video.
@@FlyFishFairwx It caught my eye too. It was actually a Montero (from New Jersey, where I live, of all places) and the people had the nicest popup camper I'd ever seen, complete with a little deck area that would swing down with a canopy to cover it.
God the wild ducks are out of control at Meat Cove! I just about pissed myself at the coffee sequence ... 😂 ... I hope Amanda is well she was uncharacteristically silent this episode. Although maybe she just wanted a break from the little boys club and all the fart jokes ... 😁
What a nuisance when someone is in the way of your epic composition - although I always find it useful when they do move out the way and the tripod holes line up nicely with my unique view to capture the beauty of the scene 😉🤣
Another great walk with your camera. I didn't catch which lens(es) you were using with your Hassie. My brains are in denser fog than your mountains. Would you mind telling me?
Hi Gavin: Great locations and images indeed! One question, why didn' t simply drive to the end of the trail and walk over from the parking lot? Keep well . . . Keith
Love the banter between these 3. Add uncle Grumps to this mix and it will be a complete laugh riot. @fototripper, please get Adam Gibbs to participate in this series.
Maybe there should be a fototripper cologne. Magic Tripper perhaps. Or just Death!, or Sulphur beyond belief!. Feel free to harvest the spices and put on your website. I'm just the messenger =P
Firstly, let me say I always enjoy your videos, Gavin. In this one you're struggling with insects again so I want to tell you of a little device that is a godsend to take with you into the woods. I've used these in Alaska for years and let me tell you, the mosquitos up there will eat you alive in the back country without protection. The Thermocell can be bought from Amazon or Cabella's for about $40 USD and they're worth their weight in gold. When you get to a place you want to photograph, turn it on and set it down under your tripod. Within 10 minutes, the mosquitos are gone - you can photograph in your skivvies if you like and you'll not get a single bite. They reportedly work for black flies too. That'll be $20 dollars please.
@@fototripper I am shocked to hear that. They work perfectly for me. Maybe those Canadian skeeters have different DNA from the Alaskan variety LOL They won't work in windy conditions for obvious reasons but in a still forest, wow!
Yes, you have a face like a................, however, thankfully, Amanda has an angelic face which as always saves the day. Keep on tripping as it is a wonderful show.
As always I first lichen’subscribe, then I watch the video. Well, subscribing I only can once but for that I appropriate flip-flop with the new version Leica’n’subscibe 😅😅😅
Best book ever written? www.fototripper.com/
Definitely the best😉👍🏻
Yes. Thank goodness Adam chipped in. Looking forward to the next one.
It better be... I just ordered a copy. LOL
Epic shots and accompanying music, nicely done Gavin!

Another fantastic film 🎥 with humor and 📸 photos. Greetings from Austria 👍🙂

I fear these laughs aren't free and I'll end up getting a bill in the mail. $20 per laugh, I'm going to be bankrupt haha. Ah crud, that's another $20
Fantastic images and a bloody good Sunday laugh 😊 thank you for sharing. Ps the book arrived in North Wales and it’s brilliant 😊👍🏻👍🏻. Thank you again
Wonderful!
I am constantly amazed how much i learn from you. For instance, i never heard about cauterized-prolapse before. The lupine shot is etheralistical.

always great and inspiring images Gavin!!
Always look forward to your videos, another good one.
Superb shots as usual Gavin and great banter 😀
that unexpected fly voice 🤣🤣burst into laughter here🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼 great all round.

Well I did have some great laughs on this video🤣 I loved the shot of the lupines with the mountains and the mist as a backdrop🤩 Outstanding !
Love your videos Gavin . You never fail to put a smile on my face .
The trouser cough was epic haha x
You always do an outstanding job with the music backgrounds. ❤
Did Amanda get to use the Hasselblad at all ! great set of shots the Lupins shot stole the show and that bit of drone footage beautiful
Your lupine shot was beautiful. It made me weep like a little baby.
Beautiful place and images Gavin.
Adam Gibb is from Vancouver Island where I live.
Parksville, I believe.
I love how you sprinkle in AAA Tier advice in an amazingly entertaining video every time 😂❤
On another note, that waterfall framed left or right looks stunning also
The images are Fantastic! LOL, thanks for making my day GH!
Hi Gavin Your channel is great! Love the humor your a natural! That il be 20 bucks!

@@benruset damn , it is identical to my Pajero. They can be kitted out some nice. Thank you for the update.
The "almost sounds 'Merican" comment cost me a new Keyboard!! Brilliant!!!!!!
Your lupine shot; looked like it should be a large wallpaper shot, taking up the entire end wall of a large room. Something Adam would do...... :)
"How do you take your coffee"---------------- PHAAAAAARP so BROWN then LOL
I like the lupines quite a lot. ❤️

British fart humour - it never gets old 😀 oh and that was top image of the waterfall ✅
Fantastic as usual Meat Cove is stunning 😮
Those Hasselblad colors are insane.
Not really interested in the photography, what kind of coffee was it? Thank you!
Spectacular scenery & beautiful shots, just remember to stand upwind before asking someone how they take their coffee!🤣🤣💨
Smashing video and the waterfall image turned out really lovely! 👍
Next time I'm down your way, let's do Meat Cove for sure. That waterfall shot was lovely.
Chris...step away from the boots!
You've proved again that you're only young once, but you can be immature forever! I really loved the lupine shot. Great fun!
So good!
Great scenery, great video
great shots. 👍👍👍👍
What happened to the camera that got a dunking?
In his video he sent it to Nikon.
That fart was brilliant
Hubby was wondering what on earth I laughing about when that bit happened.

Love the content and those photos were epic!
I prefer my morning coffee without sound effects!! As always, entertaining and educational.
Another great walk with your camera. I didn't catch which lens(es) you were using with your Hassie. My brains are in denser fog than your mountains. Would you mind telling me?
A 21mm
Yet another great episode…
I’d love to know whether;
a) Chris tried to hold it in,
b) thought it would be quieter… or
c) was just like, “f£&k it!”
Amanda trying not to crack up at the end. 😂😂
Great shots funny watch,
He he. Question, is it important to get out so early with those foggy and moody conditions? Is it better light or is it fear of the fog dissapearing?
This is like watching the 3 stooges, still trying to figure out who is Larry, Curly and Mo.
Which filter system are you using? Do you like it?
Two very nice photographs. Big question is how did you finagle Amanda into using her "Blad" is these wet conditions?🤣
Stunning! For the background music I was kind of hoping for "Misty Mountain Hop" by Led Zeppelin - but you don't want to risk a copyright strike 😉
Beyond my budget
0:06 thanks almost made me spit the water hahahahaha love it
Hi Gavin: Great locations and images indeed! One question, why didn' t simply drive to the end of the trail and walk over from the parking lot? Keep well . . . Keith
Depending on the time of year this was done, the road might not have been opened to drive down
The camper is too high for the canopy.
@@fototripper you need to get an e-bike with a cargo holder for the camera bag for situations like that. 😁
For the algorithm!
Cracking as always 🙏
"Better out than in!" as my sainted grandmother used to say.
Great humor as usual!
Let me know when you go to Newfoundland and I will be happy to pay for that trip.... in fall of course when the storms are coming in!
Who doesn’t love a Lupin?….❤❤❤
It's so refreshing seeing other "grown-ups" enjoying fart jokes 😂
What did it cost you for Amanda to let you use her Hasselblad?🤨
Very nice
Are you using a filter for the waterfall shot?
awesome again!
Great Video Gavin ... I'm traveling in NS and want to go to Meat Cove. I have been told the road into the site is really bad, how true is that?
It's just a standard dirt road that's a bit rough.
You need to get a Ben's bug coat with mitts. Best $30 I've spent for bug repellent clothing.
😂😂😂 Did you inhale though? We so need a Hardcastle Coffee!
hehehe loved the waterfall pic
Love the banter between these 3. Add uncle Grumps to this mix and it will be a complete laugh riot.

Tell Grumpton
Quality 😂 as always.
I can just see the outline of a unicorn in the mist there. Trezmendifiqua
Odour Eaters. I would think they would sponsor you. I would love to see the f4 team restart. With the original caravan.

cauterised prolapse😂😂😂😂…..the Mrs thinks I’m mad as I just spat my coffee all over the tablr😂😂
any reason to always shoot electronic shutter?
who said it was always?
@@fototripper on every vidéos with the hasselblad electronic shutter is on. ..with a native lens...why ?
What a crackin campsite
Best one yet.😂😂😂😂
As always great video! I wish I was better in putting what kind of humor in my videos... 😂 grt guido
Who is the guy who does your studio voice-overs? He seems like a nice fellow.

$20 for coffee. Is this Switzerland?

Lovely images of course....except for the one stuck in my head 😂
