well its acsually core xY because z is up and down of the cutterhead also if you ever need to build something similar, i reccommend aluminum extrusions , rather than the tubes , ist way easier to work with, if you need to adjust something afterwards other than that, cool build, and impressed you dont let the limitations hold you back
Have you washed the balls of the linear rails? Usually they come in a strange grease from factory and don’t work very good without reapplication with a better grease.

Gotta watch for electrical interference! Shield everything from the (motor casing to the main controller)! Those plasma emissions are powerful!

Rails that I've got worked fine so I haven't.
