I give you my top 10 ps4 games that have the biggest improvements when played on the Playstation 5. These improvements include 4K support as well as the option to play in 60fps.
Playstation 5 includes a feature called game boost which offers increased loading speeds and improved or more stable frame rates for Playstation 4 games. If the PS4 game has an option to run at an uncapped frame rate then most likely it will be able to reach 60fps on the PS5.

I used to play games at 30FPS 1080p for 6 years. When I got my PS5 and started playing at 60FPS with 4K resolution, my mind was completely blown.
And don't @ me but I can't go back I just enjoy the games way more when I can see the game looking fantastic. Also for people just getting a PS5, I'd recommend putting it on performance mode because it makes the gameplay way smoother. When you buy games, you buy them to PLAY them lmao. So put it on performance. There's this common misconception that if it's not on resolution mode the graphics look so much worse, that's not the case. Also, on resolution mode it gets lower texture quality, render distance, and graphical details. But there is some games that if you put it on resolution mode, it still runs at 60FPS so you have to pay attention to that.
Yeah, true some resolution modes do run at at 60fps. I always play on performance now. The thing is, the resolution for performance mode is pretty good and sometimes I can't even tell the difference. For example, Demon's Souls in performance mode looks just as good as it does in resolution. I agree with you, I can't go back to 30fps after playing games in 60fps now. It's like my character is moving in slow motion or under water haha.
I finally bought a Ps5 and wanted it for the speed. If 60fps is really that big of a difference. Then I can’t wait to experience it

@@SuperJumpReviews wait wait hold up lol, if you have a monitor or tv that runs 4K @60hz HDR… will I get resolution downgrades or graphic lost? Because what I’m informed is that PS5 can run 4K @60hz HDR with full details and textures without preformance mode because the monitor is not 120hz is 60hz so I’m sure I’m able to run 4K @60hz even without resolution mode or preform mode on lol so what’s the point??

@@SuperbChicken that makes me laugh 😆 as a PC player with 200FPS at 1440p+ and PS5 with 60-120 at 1080 or 1440 on 2.1HDMI VRR but am 44 and came up playing 30FPS for many years. It's not painful infact it's very enjoyable.

The add on dlc thing isn't bad too but much harder. It's a little like the mafia 2 add ons where it's like a bonus kind of thing. I'm sure there's videos u can watch before downloading it but personally I think the add on is good. Plus u get an add on xp bonus thing for fhe actual main game too.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention, sadly the add on is like another chapter. And doesn't punk to the main game like I thought it would. But it has got a really good story and u find a whole new side to the story filling in loads of gaps I wondered about.
Changing the subject though is it just me or is Chris Purnell everywhere? He's in tonnes of films and even games.. like he's the brother of the infamous main character, he's the voice over in man eater and other games, since getting into the archer series where he plays Ciril Figgus I just keep seeing him and hearing his voice absolutely everywhere, even in things I've seen before and just didn't realise lol

Now Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on resolution mode is even more amazing - 2160p with almost locked 60 fps (even with the minor drops in fps at busy areas won't really be noticeable to the human eye).

Trust me 30fps is ok when you haven't played games at 60fps. Once you are used to 60fps 30 is just horrific! I just hope bloodborne gets a update for ps5

fantastic.60fps should always be a standard next gen feature.I always noticed the huge difference between 30fps and 60fps since the saturn and ps1 days.Anything next gen at 30fps i tend to ignore unless there is a performance mode.

My wish list for PS5 enhanced games now include, Uncharted 4, Uncharted lost legacy, Gravity Rush 2, Shadow of Colossus remastered and frickin Bloodborne. Sony make it happen.
Hell yeah! Definitely uncharted 4 and lost legacy for me too. I’m surprised those haven’t gotten patched yet. They’re Sony exclusives I figured they would be the first to get the next gen treatment.

I myself have been playing older titles on my series x! They literally feel like new games. I have been playing Battlefield 5, Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, DBFz, Tomb Raider series, and Injustice 2. The difference is night and day!

It's just that, with Switch reviews it is possible, in my opinion, that your videos might have gotten a bit overlooked because of overwhelming quantity of people who review Nintendo Switch games one way or another, and because they already established a steady place in the results of the search bar
I think it is honestly a great move to cover ps5 games now, because you will be one of the first people to cover them in details, as I know
But regardless, I think your Switch videos will do great and many people would watch them because of your steady upload schedule and truly interesting insights because you really complete the game and really care to give us the quality content without compromises

So just got a PS5. I definitely can tell the difference from load times. You can definitely tell the difference from gameplay, from performance. It's all around a worthy upgrade

If Final Doom made you dizzy back in day, wait until you play Doom VFR. I usually have an iron stomach when it comes to VR games, but after every mission in Doom VFR, I needed to take a rest. I still finished the game and got every single trophy. Yay.
Only one other game has made that sick where I needed to lay down. Jak and daxter precursors legacy on ps vita. That frame rate was hot garbage.

Last time I played dark souls 3 was on my old ps4 a couple of years ago, I was blown away when I tried it on the PS5 and I didn't know anything about the 60fps

I've been gaming on a launch ps4 with a 1080p tv for the last 8 years, so I know I'm going to be blown away when I'm finally able to snag a ps5. I just upgraded to a beautiful new high end 4k 144hz OLED tv so all I need now is to secure a ps5!

I also held off in buying Ghost of Tsushima on PS4. Recently bought it on my PS5 because it’s on sale right now. Only thing I gotta say is that this game is so f@$&ing good and looks amazing. Easily making it one of my favorite games to date.
It’s a solid game, but idk … I got bored of it after about 20ish hours. It feels a bit repetitive and doesn’t really introduce anything new. Sure the combat is crisp and it’s a nice game to look at but maybe I’m just getting old

Depends on the game, for some games such as Bloodborne the frame rate is actually tied to in game physics so it would also take further coding to reach 60fps without breaking the game physics
Could be possible at the end of PS4 production/life cycle, but not while theres still money to be made

I wish my PS5 had 1440p output. It's nice that the Series X has it. Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted 4 needs a 60fps update too. Hopefully with play at home for HZD they will update it with a patch.

So for clarity, you download these games as ps4 versions on the ps5 and it loads a patch? Or are these rereleased ps5 exclusive versions?
You put the PS4 disc in the PS5 console and you play the game. If theres a patch, you download, if not then you just play it as is.
They're not PS5 versions. They're just PS4 games that are enhanced by playing them on a PS5 console.

Ghost of Tsushima and God of War both run at 4K 60fps. Both look amazing!

Despite playing games at 60FPS all the time I still can go back to 30FPS without it being jarring. It's when it dips below 30FPS that the game becomes unplayable. Also, I wish Sony would release a PS5 patch for Bloodborne

It’s not just you I’m the same way which made this video very under whelming. I think some people are just more susceptible to motion sickness which makes 60fps much better to look at. Kinda like how some people get VR sickness and others (like me) jumped straight into full motion HL Alex without issue.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is 1080p on the 60fps mode on the PS5, you got the resolution wrong in the video.
Sorry Felipe, but it's actually a dynamic resolution of 1440. Meaning it COULD drop to 1080p but it averages closer to the 1440p mark in the 60fps mode.
@@SuperJumpReviews Digital Foundry did an analysis on this title and they said it was fixed 1080 at 60FPS and they are very reputable. The resolution mode is the one that runs at dynamic 1440p but 30FPS. I do have a PS5, I have tested this game and it even says on the menu that the performance mode is Native HD resolution.

Not necessarily. The games I mentioned in this video have been, "enhanced," when played on the PS5. Meaning, they are still PS4 games. The only difference is that when these games are played on the PS5 they are given, "upgrades," such as faster frame rate and higher pixel count. These, "upgrades," usually don't require any additional patches so you basically put in the disc and the PS5 hardware does the rest. There is however certain PS4 games that have next gen PS5 versions. These require an additional patch download and can vary in size. The feature is similar to what I mentioned earlier but offer more of what you'd normally find in a next gen game such as ray tracing, 120fps, etc. Hope that helps.

I have the question because I want to buy Battlefield 2042 on my PS4, but if I get a PS5 I want to know if when I upgrade the game I'll get the Ps5 version and not an enhaced one.
@@Antoniogo1204 That gets a little tricky. Some publishers will give you a free next gen version such as AC Valhalla. If you bought a PS4 version of that Vahalla you could download the PS5 patch for free. Cold War unfortunately doesn't do that. If you want to play the PS5 version, you'd have to buy the actual PS5 version. You COULD buy the PS4 version and upgrade to the PS5 version BUT you'd have to pay an additional $10 dollars. So in the end it really depends on the publisher. Do the research and make sure the game you buy offers a free next gen PS5 upgrade. Battlefield 2042 unfortunately will not offer a free next gen ps5 upgrade. If you buy the PS4 version and want to play the PS5 version later down the road you'd have to pay an additional $10 or so to upgrade.

Not yet. So far there's only a 4K lock 30fps mode. Still waiting for the 60fps patch🤞
