When life throws you lemons ... grab an oyster 😁
I wouldn't worry about bears too much, you have two highly trained guard dogs to protect you.🤗
Such an underrated channel, The camera work is superb, the music sublime, top notch narration and faultless editing.
A lot of work goes into producing this content, it deserves far more views. (Guess it is a catering to a niche audience )
Thank you for taking us along for the ride.
Wow, thank you! You’re too kind 😉
Those dogs are definitely eagle bait.
Your videography is absolutely stunning!! You have a great eye 👁 for capturing the essence. National Geographic should hire you. Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
Don’t freeze, what would Freedom do?. And the puppies. Carol and I are heading your way from Houston to visit our brother. You have so inspired both of us. We are preparing to take Trawles school and purchase a 31 Tug, probably Ranger but I have a close eye on a Nordic. Do you guys have a preference. I am thinking semi displacement hull. Shawn is soo lucky to have you. You are quieter happy with Shawn and it shows. What is your end game? How long will you cruise the North west . I hope always Richard and carol
🤡
In my opinion it just doesn't get any better than that. The perfect boat, the perfect destination and a wife that is open to adventure..........perfect!
Your camera footage on these last 2 videos is spectacular. Loved the history lesson as well! Safe cruising.
The scenery makes it easy!
I spent some time in the late sixties, as a volunteer for young life, at Club Malibu. Working for a month in the summer and a week at Easter. I even took groups of high school seniors hiking through the mountains completely circling the inlet one summer. Your visit brought back some very fond memories.
Thank you for sharing this with me.
This is great! This is one of my favorite areas as is Desolation Sound area. You are the only person to tell the history of Malibu Rapids buildings that I have ever seen on UA-cam. Thanks for sharing.
I have been watching your channel for years and have seen some amazing things, but this is the best yet. Stunning beauty in isolation.
thanks for another great adventure! remember you don't have to out run the bear. just your companion. LOL. Jim and Henry (the dog).
Wonderful videography! I/We have been up to Princess Louisa & Chatterbox falls in the summer and it is gorgeous. I couldn't get over the calm seas and lack of rain you experienced in winter and to be that alone on glass-like water in that beautiful weather was really special. I had to laugh, however, over the fear of cougars and bears. You really didn't have to worry. Just carry a big stick and a loud whistle for reassurance. If cougars had been around they are more scared of you than you them. Personally, I consider seeing a bear a highlight, and I would absolutely LOVE to see a cougar in the wild! Thanks for the great video!
Those dogs are priceless. Indeed, the forest sometimes feels alive. Cougars; schmoogers- it was probably just a local Sasquatch.
What he said...
Elizabeth you and Shawn are so together …gads Shawn is so confident he’s got the captain thing down and he’s really a great spouse/partner /doggy daddy. And you are a brilliant editor, video gal/moderator love the music too. Mahalo from Big Island
I’m surprised you guy’s don’t have a half million subscribers lol. This was very nice!!!
What a great place. Very different in the winter. In the summer when we visited, the camp was full of kids and activity. The float at the falls was almost full of boats, and Chatterbox Falls itself was spilling water at a much greater rate. You were very fortunate to have such a magnificent place all to yourselves.
This episode is just spectacular and probably the best you have taken.. the quality of the video is fabulous not to mention the fantastic scenery... your videos are just getting better.. from Sydney Australia..
Thank you for sharing. The inlet is as beautiful as I remember. I was a camper at the Malibu Young Life camp in 1970 for a week. An amazing experience remembered. You were so lucky to have the place to yourself this winter.
Thank you for making my Sunday mornings even more enjoyable.
If you plan on more remote cruising, whistles, bear bangers and bearspary are a good idea. Also by the water, don't expect bears to hibernate as they often will not if there is enough food to stay awake. We went up to a remote inlet and came around the corner to check out a old log dump and there was a young Grizzly that had gone out about 200m on the boomsticks. He was as surprised to see us as we were of him.
We visited there twice over the years with our children and relatives aboard our yacht "Tonya Lynn". It truly is our favorite cruising destination and shouldn't be missed as it is magical! It's well worth your time to visit as access is limited to boats and seaplanes. However, being a fresh water inlet, it is subject to freezing over in winter, and summers can be crowded... ❤
We visited PLI some years ago in a 24’ cruiser. Incredible place for sure. Took a mooring at MacDonald Island for three nights. Wonderful place. Thanks for the chance to see it again. I’ll never get back there again at my age! We were there in summer, so much more crowded.
We're very spoiled in beautiful British Columbia with the mountains and pacific ocean and the wonderful wildlife on our doorstep 😄 with so many islands to choose from you've got the perfect yacht for this environment. I love your videos 👏 enjoy your Canadian travels 🇨🇦
B.C. is my home! We are truly blessed eh Mr.Vancouver!? I live 35 mins away from the largest Douglas Fir in the world! Island life is best!
What an increadable place, thank you for sharing it
What a stunning spot. Very happy you did get munched by any oversized kitties. Thanks for sharing. From the UK.
Ah... Malibu!!! Definitely the most beautiful place on earth.
Because of your abilities and quest for adventures, I get to see the world I otherwise would never get to see... a big thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoy it!
A-mazing! Holy jelly, OMG drone footage (How high can that drone go?) I love love love your channel. WOW WOW ..... Lions jelly, cougars and bears oh my..lol
We max out at 397 feet!
You might like to read "The Curve of Time" by Blanchet, M. Wylie. The story of a single women and her children exploring many of the remote and not so remote areas you are now exploring.
Yes, a super read. Especially when cruising these waters.
We’ve heard lots about that book, gotta read it one of these days!
Stunning scenery.. thanks for sharing.
Bears are gonna wake up soon. And we say " we're headin up Jervis and we're headin up chatterbox eh" lol make sure you go to the backeddy pub if it's open this time of year.
Another wonderful video! Excellent narration, wonderful videography, educational background, and perfect choice of background music!!! Keep them coming!
There is a park ranger stationed in that area. That dish is theirs. Those cougars don't care about you, the dogs however.....
Perfect video!!!! Thanks for ALL the super views.
I'm a B.C. Boy and and live on Vancouver Island and I have to say we are truly blessed with abundance of beauty here! Born and raised in this amazing province of Canada!
Great episode, with fantastic editing! It's like you've got your very own "Look behind you, look behind you!!! Movie"
Unreal indeed... Thank you! Stay safe!
This is the most beautiful anchorage I have ever witnessed. Thank you so much for bringing us along!!💥💥💥💥💥👍🏾👌
Breathtaking scenery! What a treasury of beauty to explore in that place.
Your skill at capturing it is very much appreciated!!
Your videos keep getting better and better. Thanks - spectacular.
NEVER LEAVE BOAT WITHOUT BEAR SPRAY!
If I could only win the lottery I'd live your lifestyle. Thank you for all the great history of the area.
We didn’t win the lottery either so it’s possible! Just sell everything and make it happen 😉
The Lord has made a beautiful world. Thank You for sharing. I'll never be able to go there myself.
Ask the lord to get you there.
Amazing content thank you!
I have to say very pretty, the Canuucks got some pretty real estate there. As a avid north Idaho outdoorsman, you kids have nothing to worry about as far as a bear, they are sleepy time till March. Sean is going to scare your cougars off. They might go for a short woman or a small child. If you guys want to come to Sand Point sometime, I'll take you Snipe hunting :)
Nice work on the video's, I enjoy them!!
Beautiful video. We took a guided day trip by boat with "instant friends" out of West Coast Wilderness Lodge on June 2022. Lovely then and often look back at our videos to re-experience the joyful day.
Can you imagine getting lost there, and at Nite too? This is definitely Sasquatch.
Super beautiful video and excellent narration. 😊
Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. You are showing places most of us would never see.
Such a magnificent area, and such a wonderful video - I could almost smell the ocean and forest!! Thank you.
There are vets/jackets for dogs that have what look like decoration, but the are predators spikes. There are dangers on the ground and from the air - eagles. I don't think they make those jackets large enough for Shawn, but maybe should each have a can of bear spray - works on cougars too. For cougars - wear your baseball cap backwards with sunglasses facing backwards. 😎 confuse the cougars! Lol
I was sharing your video with a friend... his comment about the dogs, was that Skip the Dishes comes to Princess Lousia Inlet.
With little dogs like yours I can’t believe how flippant you are letting them run not realizing how delicious they are for EAGLES & ORCAS LET ALONE LAND. That’s 44 country
Oh my goodness thanks so much for sharing this beautiful place, it's like a dream just spectacular..
.
Man, I can't wait to get my little boat to places like this! Absolutely amazing!
That fiord is stunning. Thanks for sharing.
Your videos are always well made, high quality, and peaceful. THANK YOU both for bringing us along!
This is probably my favorite video you have ever put out. Simple... and beautiful.
Fabulous, views are stunning and the editing superb. Thanks for allowing us the Historic view of PRINCESS LOUISA INLET!
So glad yall are doin good!!! How beautiful thank u for sharing
Vidéo et narration professionnelle. MERCI
My goodness, what beautiful scenery!!
Loved it, thank you! Your voice is very easy to listen to, great narration! Truly one of the most beautiful places on the west coast! Thanks again!
10:22 cute :)
Spectacular!
Had a good chuckle at your choice of music as you walked into, and along, the trail. Perfect. 😁
Yes! Cool Munster music!
Absolutely breathtaking and what a treat to have it all to yourself.
Amazing video - thank you!
Went there in 83. Climbed up the path and found a canopy a ways up about 20 feet above the forest floor, walked above, on the canopy over to the creek and then climbed down the side of the waterfall.. There we found a sign saying do not climb.. Did some scuba diving up near to the Hamilton mansion, found an cave about 50 feet down, stunning area.
Good to know! We would’ve loved to have dove the area but we were too busy thinking about how cold we were to consider a dive 🥶
Slipping on the rocks by the falls is the only real danger your in, I have been there many times and it really is one of the most magnificent places in the world!
Wow... WOW - great video! Such a beautiful place! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!
Great video, thanks for taking us along
Just great stuff! Audio, video, production, and your self-protection! Thank you!
Those dogs are so cute when they’re running together
What a fantastic place! Thank you. Your camera work is spectacular
I live in cougar country in the Colorado Rockies. Our neighbor called this morning to tell us one was wandering around our house, so not to let the dogs out. I've only seen them during daylight hours, obviously it's too dark at night. If they know people are around, they don't hang. They are one of the shyest creatures you might one day see.
Thank you for taking me along👍👍👍🚢🚢🚢😎😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
wow, I was there in 1964 with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, thank you for the quick tour.
Thanks again for a fantastic video. Truly enjoyed it.
Breathtaking scenery!
Amazing footage so beautiful- as old man in Eastern Ky Mountains once said “is restful to the eyes - Thanx for sharing ❤
This is the most Beautiful spot you have taken us so far!
thats a spectacular place to visit even on a poor day 👋
great video and tour, thanks for sharing.
Weren't you affraid us Canadian would steal your boat? Thanks for another great vlog! Always so informative, love it.
You’re very welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
I would. It’s scriptural. “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,”
Matthew 24:12 NIV
Beautiful Video and Narration was excellent. Thanks again
Cant wait to get there this summer on our boat, it is a special place from what i know. Now we can! Great video.
Beautiful area! So happy you share it with us.
One word. Wonderful!!!❤
The video brings back a lot of memories from years ago thanks 😎
That was stunning in the fog clouds.
Our most favorite place to go on the west coast from Seattle to Sitka. Nothing in the world like it………Not sure if someone commented or not but the sat dish at the head of the inlet is for the ranger that stays at the Ranger’s Station during the summer months. Also, there are some trails that no one knows about 1/2 way down the inlet on the north side. Very well maintained and a great workout the higher you go. They are mountain bike trails with 5 heli-pads as you go up the trails. Also, towards the head of the inlet there are natural water slides (better enjoyed during the summer). Thanks for sharing
Wow
The two of you make such amazing contact I can’t wait for your actual adventure of living a board and traveling full-time begins. What are you guys create is better than anything network television can do these days
awesome footage from a spectacular scenery , by far the best movie you have done so far , the music, the transitions from aerial to ground and vice versa footage were absolutely amazing , well done congratulations , keep sharing
You two, or should I say four, did an awesome job describing and showing the inlet. The professionalism shows in the quality of the video. I love your channel and relive my Northwest cruising days through the two of you. Have a blessed year!
Absolutely stunning place..
Thank You... So Peaceful...And as always, love hearing your research. We always look so forward when you post a new video ... The Millers..
Awesome, what can I say beautiful views...thank you.
Stunning area absolutely stunning.....
Beautiful area! Thank you for sharing this superb video !
Cougars don't ambush (as much) in the winter??? Not 100% sure of that! 🙂 Beautiful video, as usual. Safe travels.
Such a beautiful place. Been there a few times on MV Olympus
