great video I just got into RC vehicles a few weeks ago. I have very limited knowledge on how these trucks work and run so watching this has been a HUGE help. Great detail in explaining stuff! Just bought Arrma granite V3 3s BLX for my first truck and it is super fun. Now I think I have finally found the channel I need to look after this toy to keep it running its best, After all, you get what you put into something.Cheers Pal thx
@sinabsoy4439 well to be honest I'd run it til something breaks my steering went today but I got a xraY week of heavy bashing abd huge air jumps at skate park lol was bound to happen. Widen the truck to keep it on the ground especially when turning
Just the video I needed! A new Senton 3S and 6S owner here, about to upgrade the 3s to 6s specs before it's even rolled once. It's a motor, ESC and servo swap out, so seeing you pull the gear box apart gave me confidence on what's facing me. I've got a clicking noise on my drive shaft when the wheel roll in the same direciton. Spinning independently only sometimes makes the clicking noise. Looking real close, the rear right suspension is weakest, while the rear left is tightest. That's also true of side-to-side play, leaning the car one way, then that. The rear right suspension has a bit more sag and bit more wobble then the other three. The rear left is tightest on wide-to-side. The front suspension seems consistent to itself and is moderate between the rear extremes. I'm guessing I should tighten the right rear turnbuckle a few twists to nix the sagging. The side-to-side wobble almost plays like a loose rim shifting along the axle. The front wheels have a little shift that seems 'natural', but right rear has excessive comparatively and left rear has next to no side play. I'm glad I haven't run the thing yet.
Very nice Bench clean and maintenance brother 👌 all mine are done and cleaned for the winder Hibernation 🦔 and they will be out in Spring 🌞 great tutorial video mate 👍😎👍
During reassembly, I am having trouble pushing the pins in the steering knuckle deep enough in to replace the screws. Any tips? Thanks for the great video!
*when checking motor mount screws, check side to side play of motor shaft* one of the two times my bearings failed in the stock motor, this is how i found it. if it gets bad enough the spur can fail even though the motor is still working(2nd failure lol)
Nice video. I usually don't go that far with disassembly. Lazy. I went through so many spurs with my BRCC but ever since I cut a hole in my chassis I never had a problem. Let's the dirt get out from motor area. Wish I had done it from day one. Good video
@@jqueenchannel there are videos on this, the best way to solve the issues with the BRCC was literally to sell it lol. Never have I replaced so much on a RC. Maybe I got unlucky but I only had to get mine out of the boot and put it on the ground for it to break. The only RC where I've done a small jump and simultaneously broken 3 shocks in one landing.
My granite is all gummed up from driving in sand. I don't know if it needs new bearings or just oil. But I think I need to take apart everything and clean out the drivetrain and differentials
I am having trouble pushing the pins back in to the steering knuckle deep enough so that I can replace the screws that hold them in. Any tips? Great video!
Very well done! Do you have a set of screwdriver bits that goes with that screwdriver? It comes with a BIG Phillips/flat blade that aren't too useful for RC work. Do you think the modular design Arrma uses is that much better than the typical component layout in all other designs? Thanks.
I am new to the this. I have a Big Rock Arrama truck. Accidentally hit the right side tire with a cement curb. Now my truck goes hard right. How do I fix that. I can see the cV is extended just a little. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Is there supposed to be some in-and-out play on the slipper clutch assembly inside the plastic motor housing? I have probably 3/8" in and out after replacing the spur gear and dind't check if there was play before disassmbly.
I have a problem with with the motor fan it spins for a second then stop and the same thing goes on and went I give it gas it doesn’t do anything same for steering? Help plz Btw it’s a Arrma Big Rock 3s
Hey RAZOR I was hoping you could answer a question I had . If the vortek wing would fit on Granite V3 body? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
i know im super late but is it okay to put assembly grease onto the motor gears under the gear cover? I know its good to have lubricants but didnt know if it would be bad if it got in the motor, thanks
The plastic diff cups and plastic gears usually have a bit of extra flashing that you can file down. That's the cause of the clicking/tight spots. My Vorteks had the same.
No grease on spure. just use normal grease on diff casing ( input diff gear and the rest of diff parts but not in the diff itself, inside the diff you can use normal oil ) I know that most of people will tell you to put some special oil in diffs but I use normal oil which can be bought at your local store and the truck works fine poping wheelies. I hope it helps :)
i noticed you dont have the center drive shaft support i broke mine (my first rc car only 2 days old ) do i need it to run the car or is it to run it without?

What’s good brother!? I just picked up a Granite today. Is there Anything you recommend I should do before it’s maiden ride?
TIA

Hey i got the granite then the senton its tons of fun@sinabsoy4439
Really good video. I like the way you do your videos as they are simple to follow and provide great useful information.

Once again, another RazorRC video saved in my RC favorites folder.😁

Need a photo how you do it

Good stuff as always. Your Granite seemed to toed out on both sides...more than mine anyway. Thanks for what you do.
Yeah, does seem a bit toed out. Will need to check that out, thanks.
Yep ... Maintenance vids are guud .. im here watching for my typhon/SC Arrma
Thankyou so much. This helps astronomically.
Great!
Graphite powder is great for the telescopic drive shafts!
Where did you bought the screwdriver and the keys?

Get a pin punch and gently tap in with small hammer. Make sure no dirt is fouling in the hole
Good video simple maintenance but necessary 👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Thanks, good maintenance "check list".
Wonder if he did this with the new 4s models. Center diff.

What kind of hour interval should we do an extensive maintenance like this? Provided its all normal driving conditions, no water.
Is a maintenance guide coming for the TA Rival 10? Bought it recently and would love to see one.
great video and maintenance bro
Thank you Sir!! Love the Arrma 3s Videos!
At 7:00 I’m having trouble taking out the red thing and my rc car still won’t work😢
Great video, i wish i could do it so quickly.

yeah, there's a lot of play in the slipper, probably 2-4mm
Shocks not leaking ! Mine do but they work good and it's easy .
Hey Razor RC. Do you know the part number of that little plastic cover you put on the spur gear shaft? I need one.

Graphite power is better or a dry lube. Don't want grease in slipper.
The front diff on my Vorteks has a tight spot... gonna take it apart but not sure what I can do. Relatively new... 8 packs or so.

@@RazorRC I'll look for that, thanks!
Dude your chassie is way taller on the sides than mine. Have modifyd it yourself?
Is it easy to convert the typhon 3s to a granite 3s??? All parts fits the chassis the same?..
What brand of electric screwdriver are u using? I got the new dewalt 8V max..will that work fine too on RC?
Plastic drive shafts. Hm. How do they last in the long run?

@@SonicXD112 the short chassis cars don’t have it, like this Granite. I would order a new one if I were you.
perfect job mate..keep going💪
Thank you 🙌
Great Job!!! Great video!!!
I can't get the pin out what would you suggest to try
Is your steering on reverse?
Great video 👍
Can you show diffs?
What type of tires are those?
Where can I get that esc fan from?
Awesome videos
If it ain't broke, don't fit it... ✌🏼🤠
Use a electric screwdriver for a 4mm long screw 😁 beter do it slow and never do the last turns with a electric screwdriver
I use my wife’s toothbrush
I use my ex wife´s toothbrush
does she have brown teeth?
Hypothetically, let's just say your tab to remove your power module breaks because the damn thing wouldn't budge? How screwed am I? lol
I would have loved to watched this video, but I couldn't get past the nasty fingernails!!
