I like your videos so much! Thank you :D I’m coming from Germany… The best thing is that you make so much videos about the ZV-E10 and the a 6000 series! Thx for all and nice new year! 🎉
Thanks for the video! I've got a ZV-E10 (mark one) a couple of months ago and now I use it all the time. Not exactly a 2024 product, but definitely a great purchase!
What has blown me away are those cute crushed can lens hoods I put on my compact FF Sony lenses. That made all the difference in the world. BTW, that Sigma 65mm f2.8 lens is something else. Looks vintage (a little), built like a Tesla Cyberetruck, and is as sharp as a surgeon's scalpel.
When I see pictures of The Well in Toronto it saddens me that we haven't crossed paths and I haven't been able to shake the G.O.A.T.'s hand and say thank you for all the amazing videos. Looking forward to one day having this happen. Happy New Year, Mark! Keep skimming that money my friend, slowly and surely.
Great job on the video Mark! Thanks for making it. Hope your ne year is full of fantastic new gear. My fingers are crossed for an FX3 Mk2 or whatever they decide to name it.
Great video as always! My most used gear this year was definitely the ZVE1 and Pocket 3, with the A7iv and FX30 in the wings for special occasions 🎉 happy new year!
I received my zv e10 ii in the post on New Years Eve. Im looking forward to getting plenty of content shot with it in 2025. Love the channel Mark. Happy New Year from the UK!
i got the Viltrox 56mm F1.7 this year & quite like it , & just got for Christmas i told you about last week, the Sigma 18-50 F2.8 so excited to use that in 2025 for all things photography & video . Happy New Year to you Mark , keep up the great work , love your vids , you always make me smile with your little bit of humour thrown in
Mark, your demo with the Hollyland Lark M2 earlier this year convinced me to try something different (I have a vast array of Rode wired/wireless mics). Hands down, one of _the_ best additions to my equipment lineup to date. Love that B-roll at the end, too - hilarious! It's probably foreshadowing for me tonight.
And my ZV-e10 finally arrived on December 30 and I am very pleased with it. :) I'm wondering how to turn on the focus on a given object in this camera, is it the same as clicking on the screen before taking a photo and "tracking" turns on? I know it's a stupid question, but previously I had the ZV-1F for a few days and I didn't really want to "play" with it, but I used the Lumix tz80 on a daily basis. Ps. Can you recommend a wrist strap for this camera?
New to UA-cam and rocking a second hand ZV-E10 v1 and Dji mic 2 signal 18-50 f2.8 and Sony 15mm f1.4 can’t go wrong , just got an old Dji rsc2 gimbal, world class with active track , can make it look like there’s a second person on the camera but it does get heavy
Happy new year Mark! really love your videos, the reviews really gives great information and because of your fast video releases on new camera gear I got to buy a Viltrox 35mm to add to my arsenal, but say I would begin to make my cinema rig, what budget friendly monitor should I get, and by budget friendly I mean really really budget friendly, I'm currently seeing some feelworld monitors, ya think they're worth it? thanks!
Feelworld montiros are great - and portkeys too. The only drawback to feelworld is the ones with the fans can make a little noise. as long as that isn't an issue - then go for it
We are still awaiting a camera specially for beginner photographers under 1000$ from Sony with the new sensor. A6100, A6400, A6600 are already 5 years old.
I do wildlife and landscape photography mostly and I use A74 for general use and A6700 as my main wildlife camera (with the SONY 200-600, a fantastic combination). I am thinking about exchanging the 4 for the A75 when it comes out or the A7r5. I have not yet taken the plunge with the lesser known lens manufacturers but your channel is really helpful regarding those.
Happy New Year from Munich Mark! I bought the a6700 this year with the amazing Sony 16-55mm APS-C Zoom. To me this is the perfect travel setup. I am now looking for a cute and small 35mm f1.4 that is sharper than the 16-55mm. The new Viltrox looked promising (perfect size). But it seems not as sharp as the 16-55mm. What do you think?
Hi Mark, thank you for your great content, enjoying it for quite some time now. This year I got the Viltrox 33mm f1.4 and the Viltrox 56mm f1.7 for my Sony ZV-E10. My most recent purchase is a Panasonic Lumix S5 (Mark 1) body. So I wanted to ask you for advice in my first Lens-Purchase for it, my options: - Panasonic 20-60mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens - Panasonic 24-105mm f4 OIS - Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 Maybe you wonder why there are no primes in that list. I ordered an adapter for my Nikon Fullframe Lenses (cheap Yongnuo: 35mm f/2.0, 50mm f1.4, 100mm f2.0 + Nikkor 85mm f1.8, Nikon 80-200mm f2.8), so I got some primes (but MF only)
I think showing how things work on the cameras and the accessories would be a great thing to include in the videos. I just bought a zve10 and the ulanzi mount with a rode mic. As a true beginner who hasn't so much as seen a camera in person outside of my phone it took me a couple hours to figure out how to attach everything. Weird nothing came with instructions other than the camera. How to insert the battery, where the microphone cord goes, which one to use, screwing in the small rig, now its charging and Im searching how to playback the videos I recorded. Just a suggestion, but maybe while you're reviewing products you could insert a snippet on how to put things together and how to use it. It would be helpful for true beginners.
To further expand on my frustration and to laugh at myself. After a couple minutes of trying to determine whether or not I got a defective camera, I realized I couldn’t see anything because it requires a lens. Mind you I’ve been comparing and researching for well over a year and maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think anyone ever said it required one to work. That how much of a beginner I am lol.
off-topic question but I've been recently trying to decide between a 24mm and 35mm lens. I had decided on 35mm but when I was trying to get some shots inside my home and it was slightly tight. So, I started heavily debating a 24mm. I don't have money to have both lens, so I want to choose one of them. I thought about it, and I was wondering is it possible for me to get a 24mm and then use APCS crop mode to just get 36mm with that? I also want to keep optimal quality, so would that affect the quality? I plan to shoot music videos, short films, or just anything that I want, so I wanted a versatile lens which is why I chose the 35mm, I also enjoy the slightly wider look over the 50mm. BTW I have a ZV-E1 and I'm referring about GM lens throughout this. I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!
I would get the 24mm, but you can't use apsc crop mode in the ZV-E1 in 4k (doesn't have enough megapixels). You can use clear image zoom though - and to my eye, it doesn't lose any image quality. The 24 GM is my favourite overall lens because I shoot in my studio a lot

@RastaHenkie Honestly I just did some research between the 2 and just picked. I really like them. But, now that I bought the Pocket 3, the DJI came with it so I have both. So I may sell the Rode. I think I like the way my voice sounds better with the Rode but not enough to keep them.
