@@TechHut You should then review hardware more often then like desktop units or laptops and maybe some tutorials on how to deal with hardware, sounds exciting for me
A fair warning to you, hub motors, such as yours will be prone to early burn out if you push it hard, going up hills and such. You'd want to assist the motor as much as it assists you. Have fun! :)
Do you know of a mod or replacement part that will make the thumb throttle less responsive? We usually only use it to start before the pedal assist kicks in, can we buy a different throttle that is less sensitive/reactive? Or can we mod the circuit or modify the controller program? Thanks.
Dang I really enjoyed this video. I've been considering getting an electric bike for a long time to commute to work and or explore the city (Stockholm) a bit more... this is definitely making me a bit more interested.
After some months using it, do you recommend? I am very interested in this model to use in the campus and also ride in a small town... Did you have some problems with it? How was the customer service?
hate to ask this on this video but i just went form arch to fedora cause i wanted to try wayland. None of my steam games are lunching. they try to update but i get a grey play button. I enable proton and even went back to xorg. But for some reason no game on steam will lunch i put the command for gamemoderun but still haven't had any luck getting games to lunch. anyone no what i should do?
You could get a mini-moto (small displacement motorcycle/scooter) for the same or similar $$. But you would have to get your MC endorsement for those (unless you got a 50cc or less scooter/moped).
They say Linux users sit on a chair in front of a Linux machine & never comes out. Probably die in that chair too But Brandon proved that is not true. We do go out. Ocassionally
I’ve done 300 Linux videos and one bike review. With time I’ll get better. I did look into it but I couldn’t figure it out for this model in time to record.
The top speed for a Jack Russell terrier, which is my dog, is 30 mph. These dogs are very common in races and I've seen Dixie run much faster than 20 mph. Don't accuse people of animal abuse when you have no idea what you're talking about. Also anytime I went fast like that she wasn't on a leash so she could fall behind if she needed to.
No no no.. First of all the eBike like the one in the video will weigh about 65-70lbs. This might be half the weight of an electric scooter. The centre of gravity tends to be better. But you do have to take a few miles to get used to it in the handling, especially when you stop at traffic lights as its about twice the weight of an ordinary bike. Secondly the speed limit tends to be 20-25 MPH. Some might go a little bit quicker but you use up the battery really bad. The natural speed is 20 mph really. Those fat tyres are great but they do slow you down a bit. Motorcycles are a way different proposition for speed and balance.
Ngl, it wont be a bad idea to be also a tech reviewer on this channel. Even the channel name suits it well.
Ngl, this is the most I've enjoyed making a video. I love making Linux content, but being outside testing hardware hits differently.

Your neck of the woods looks beautiful. And it's fun to switch it up for a change. You inspired me to go on a longer run :) thanks! Keep it up
Really liked the video. Great review, and loved the dog and scenery. Nice e bike.
I loved this video!
More videos in nature please and ofc more Dixie. :)
I'd love to see more content like this! This was fun to watch!
I like you being outdoors, but please don't stop your Linux content.
I will never stop making Linux videos :)

What Linux distribution does it run on?
watching you ride this thing while holding a camera gives me anxiety
especially 5:38
I've been riding bikes since I was like 4 it's no issue. I don't do videos like this enough to invest in GoPros and a different microphone. (yet)
@@TechHut hope to see more videos like this in the future, this one was a blast to watch
Yes the outside broadcast thing was great, what a nice area you live in.
2:14 that front wheel is trippy it looks like it's spinning in reverse
This was a fun video! Thanks for making it :)
I’m 6’2” and wondering if I’m too big for the bike. How tall are you?
Nice review! I own an electric bike myself :-)

Can it recuperate to charge the battery from going downhill or pedalling?

Very American to use a scooter to walk the dog lol. Just kidding ;).
I've never even been on a regular bike, let alone an e-bike.
Can you unlock it to go a bit faster?

Did I miss how much it weighs?
Does it run linux though?

Yes we do go out. Its true. To check the temperature, and stack up on coffee and donuts.
Should do the next distro review outside!
Damn the Linux guy didn’t bother to look into unlocking the speed?
Also why are you referencing watts for the battery? That would be 750w motor..

Nice review! It's interesting to see this type of content also. ")
PD: I love Dixie xD
I’m pretty sure Puppy Linux would run fine on your ebike.
How to install flatpack on this?
@Tom Williams 😄 good one
Cool, an ebike :DDD
But can it run linux?
Dixie is a cutie.
Nice!
Bought the Lectric instead, you can set it up to 28 mph and it comes pre assembled.
Wouldnt be surprised if its running linux :)
Raspberry pi in it? XD
I need an e-bike! Can I have yours? :)
Hint…don’t follow butterflies with a camera…..ugh….painful
looks like a granny bike ngl
Comfort is most important
@@lusiyin6437 but there are good looking e-bikes 🤷♂️
This will get stolen in record time.
No thanks.
20mph is just animal abuse dude......

Aren't ebikes more dangerous than motor bikes? Because you achieve high speeds while wearing normal clothing
It all depends on how you want to deal with your personal safety. I've seen people driving crotch rockets down the freeway in flip flops.

To much on you…not on the bike dude.
Real bicycle doesn't need electricity ;)
What's with all the ebikes? Don't we know how to ride a real bike anymore? Stay fit: ride a real bicycle!
The design looks a bit too soy for my taste.
They have one that's not a step though too
@@TechHut hmm I will check it out.
This e-bike runs Linux?
