I love this wonderful human on every possible level. His talent is undeniable but his spirit is so appealing and soothing. Not many people in this world effect me like this but he certainly does. I get so much enjoyment watching him, listening to him and taking in his wonderfulness. Thank Andrew, keep up the wonderful work. Much more success to you. I hope you effect many more people like you have me. You are such a gift to us all.
Moriarty's voice reading Dubliners to me is like something I didn't know I needed! I am both delighted and terrified! My heart beats too fast and my brain is fighting the input!
Andrew Scott has the ability to weave an intricate web of delicate sweet sounds, a heartfelt sigh, a whisper of sorrow, a breath barely taken, an absolute auditory delight, with the slightest movement of his tongue. Add to that the very talented writings of Mr. James Joyce and you have the exact recipe for deliciously intriguing and captivating stories that hold your attention and keep you on the very edge until the last breath of the last word is timelessly spoken revealing the last part of the story. Every. Single. Time. Bravo!
I came from his 1984 along with Andrew Garfield. Andrew G was so so so phenomenal but I loved Andrew Scott's performance as well, and his voice is so soothing I love it
You know how we sometimes say we will listen to someone read the phone book? The idea that I can listen to Andrew Scott read a book is on that level for sure.
I just discovered the Fontaines DC an incredible Irish band recently because of their Pro-Palestinian stance and while reading an interview with the lead singer Grian Chatten from 2022 he mentioned he listens to this every day. I love it!
21:44 gives me so much serotonin help😆❤ this audio is so suitable for whenever i just need something to listen to in the background, andrew's voice is so calming and he pronounces things so eloquently and gracefully
Good Lord! This is a masterpiece! Now I know it, but at first I had to switch on a subtitles down below, because I couldn't focus on the meaning of the words. What a voice! And what a great talent!
i listened to the audio a while ago, then came across this voice again on arts hour (bbc) and immediately recognised the voice and thought this should be him who read dubliners... just mesemerizing when u listen to it
Wow, old Andy reads Joyce like he wrote it! Bravo! Although, NOTHING compares to his role as Moriarty in the Sherlock series with Ben Cumberbatch! If you haven't had the pleasure yet, I would heartily recommend.
Me too! I discovered Araby back in school, but I didn't appreciate it until I went out of school and read Araby by myself! Now I'm halfway on reading the entire book
it would be a better narration if you could hear the most soft spoken voices more clearly. I know it's hard especially when the voices are especially soft due to emotion but not being able to hear the words at all is less ideal than emoting less
I wish Andrew Scott could read all my studies because when he understands it, I understand it.

Scott's delivery is nearly as masterful as Joyce's work itself.
I just discovered the Fontaines DC an incredible Irish band recently because of their Pro-Palestinian stance and while reading an interview with the lead singer Grian Chatten from 2022 he mentioned he listens to this every day. I love it!
This is book narration at another level. I usually hate audiobooks but this is fantastic. Bravo!
Many many great audio books out there.

I've listened to many audio books and this narrator is the best. Well done.

Andrew Scott, being a Dubliner himself, is a great choice to read this book.

I'm now reading Dubliners while listening to Andrew Scott excellent narration and it's being an enhanced reading experience.
Thank you Andrew Scott ❤❤
I just adore Andrew Scott
I can't understand a word he's saying but I'm still listening

It might help to turn on the captions.
As he's Irish, I'd love to hear him read some of Oscar Wilde's work.
Brilliant narration . Thank you.
A most beautiful reading.

James Moriarty actor on Sherlock Holmes BBC edition? Really nice! Thank you penguin uk
How I hated this book when I was studying English literature at A level.. this would have made a massive difference.
You obviously had a crap teacher
Me too! I discovered Araby back in school, but I didn't appreciate it until I went out of school and read Araby by myself! Now I'm halfway on reading the entire book

Samples!! I fell asleep and woke to a different sample my confused unconscious mind
How many times have I listened to this reading and still can’t tell you what this story is about?

Fuck me , the hot priest T-T thank you Andrew Scott dear lord
I'd listen to him read the ingredients of a protein shake
Why it hadn't occurred to me earlier that Andrew often sounds exactly like Dylan Moran...
Is James Joyce Is he best audiobooks or bad
00:18
Is this like the Dracula one where you hear the first chapter and then have to pay to hear the rest?
i need him so bad
Wait this the guy who acted in fleabag
Yes
Wow
Vacation time?Joyce?
Otherworldly…
beautiful ' Breevary' , not ' Brivary' !
Love you hot priest

Excellent, even though it’s without a strong Irish accent….
He does not need to do a cheesy Oirish accent. Because he is a Dubliner himself.
Andrew Scott is speaking in his natural mild south Dublin accent.
Priest!
What are you trying to do to me
omg.
OMG
:( Europe really knew nothing of First Nations People. The descriptions are nauseating. Spoiler warning :(
medio hot
I do not like this narrator
that is a VERY!!! unpopular opinion😂
Caught in the act, Mr Holmes! It's inconvenient for you to stay here, Sherlock.
Horrible D4 accent.
crazy boring book
There is a lot of discussion and opinion that that is the point. And has been raging since it was first published.
