I am 93. I've had an extraordinary life. It's only now that I appreciate how extraordinary.
As a young man, I felt I was out there in the wild, experiencing the untouched natural world - but it was an illusion. The tragedy of our time has been happening all around us, barely noticeable from day to day - the loss of our planet's wild places, its biodiversity.
I have been witness to this decline. A Life on Our Planet contains my witness statement, and my vision for the future - the story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake, and how, if we act now, we can yet put it right.
We have the opportunity to create the perfect home for ourselves and restore the wonderful world we inherited.
All we need is the will to do so.

A modern day Darwin and is truly one of the greatest people to live this past century.
Without a doubt I respect this man more than anyone outside my family and am so fortunate to know his body of work will live long past his and my lifetime.
Will people come to realize the destruction they reap on the natural world and themselves, I highly doubt it looking at the state we are in.
We are the next extinction level event and it will happen much faster than anyone can imagine.
Thank you Sir Attenborough, I wish you all the best.

No other voice can match you. Nobody can engage like you. I cannot keep watching BBC nature specials unless you accompany it. PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and you grip the shows I most want to watch. You are amazing and I appreciate you. You are one of the few people I wish i could have met in life. Thank you.

Please let future generations hear you by allowing your voice be immortalized in an AI system. Make proceeds go to preserving the nature you describe.

I recommend the book ‘Fallen Icon’ by Susan J. Crockford which is about the more recent exploits of David Attenborough.
