I was lucky enough to audition Tidal Akiras on a full Tidal chain, a well over 500k system. I will never forget this day, this was a peak Hifi moment for me.
This room was extremely dynamic with exceptional clarity, I really liked the sound in this room. I just heard a system with Chronoscopics 2 days prior at JS Audio and while this did not quite have that level of punch and detail, it was getting close.
You know Jay, this separation of the melodic lines that you love so much, it's mainly Tidal electronics that produce it. This sounds a lot like the sound of Goldmund electronics...🐦
Hi Jay every over various UA-cam video with Tidal audio (with the associated quality of the video) you can hear undoubtedly why Tidal is truly World Class. You don't always get that with every presentation of everything else or. Wilson Magico,Focal, Estelon, MBL etc etc . Even your own reaction denotes that 😮
Very open and lively. I could live with that. I would even go so far as to say one of the best demos I have heard online. Woofer xmaxing would be a concern if buying though.
Tea-doll speakers. Yeah, pretty...and pretty damned good. Hard to tell over UA-cam, but the detail, dynamic transients, micro dynamics, and natural tonalities seem really good. Fast sounding speakers. The attack on these speakers seems world class. Sounds like that album "Mallets, Melody, and Mayhem". Me likey.
The cfaftmanship of these speakers always left me speachless, and their sound is awesone. The real problem is here in EU how they handle the list prices and the street prices, a commercial policy close to suicide. That's the real pity.

The off-axis linearity for that mid range has to be terrible with it being so big unless the tweeter crosses over very low. Hmm, I wonder

This setup really sounds good...the harmonic structure of the bells is correct...way better than the Magicos

Presentation seems a bit contrived.
The Contriva’s cannot handle the lower registers but do agree on clarity and transparency of the speaker.
These speakers sound good with the played material.
