    Thank you for that useful technique, Jesús. It makes me wonder about the difference between using Select→Sky as opposed to Edit→Sky Replacement. Do you think that Select Sky does a better sky selection than Sky Replacement? I noticed that the Sky Replacement masks have kinda fuzzy edges ...

    The opacity slider is also your friend with LUT's if the desired effect is too strong. (... and when used correctly LUT's can be combined with each other for some great results!)

    Fun! I used to have to spend an hour with the selection tool to cut out the sky. Wow…. As I said in my last post.. THANK You! And wow Photoshop has come a long way. I’m comfortable in Photoshop for what I know.. which is apparently scratching the surface.. any real reason to try Lightroom? I would rather be slower and have more options than quicker with less options…. So leaning towards focusing on photoshop…. I grade C4K BRAW video in Blackmagic’s Davinci Resolve… so I think I can learn just about any software after that. :)

    Hello and thank you for this tutorial. I was just wondering, have you ever done this in reverse and turned night into day?! If not, would you consider accepting this as a challenge and then base another tutorial on it please? I have an idea as to how it would work but would love to see it done properly by someone who knows PS at an expert level, such as your good self. Many thanks once again. :)

    • @PhotoshopTrainingChannel
      @PhotoshopTrainingChannel  2 роки тому +7

      David, it would be much harder to do. Like everything else, it all depends on the image that you are working with. If you have something with a lot of detail in the shadows you might be able to do it. You will have to replace the sky of course. It's difficult to tell you the steps since it all depends on the image.

    • @davidholdstock
      @davidholdstock 2 роки тому +6

      @@PhotoshopTrainingChannel Thank you for replying, that was very kind of you and I appreciate it. Yes, I had a feeling you would tell me this and I quite understand that it would not be easy! I just thought it would be a fun kind of challenge. :) I certainly agree with you, it really does depend upon the image being used. Thank you again for replying and for all that you do to teach us new things.

    In the German version of Photoshop 2024 your tutorial does not work due to a translation error. At the point where to add the adjustment layer levels the description says to add Ebenen, (in English Layers) which does not exist as adjustment layer. In German Version Levels is Tonwertkorrektur. Thanks to your video I had no problems to follow the tutorial to the end.
