Vintage Psychiatric Interview | Patient Experiencing Psychotic Anxiety

- Subtitled in English. Catalogue description: This film adeptly demonstrates the mood, mimicry, gestures, aimless wandering, and oppression of this middle aged patient. She is a victim of anxiety that she is unable to express.
She is so uncomfortable in her skin. She wants to run away but can't. I feel her mind racing, I feel her anxiety. I feel her overheating in that small room, no natural light, nothing 'friendly' except that picture of a 'sunflower'.
Like death camp prisoners
This was very poetic
Ma é pazza, non si rende conto ?
Ma questo medico non parla !? La lascia così ansiosa !?
Menopause!
This is the most anxiety inducing video I've ever seen.
Because you feel it through her.
Yes it was.
exactly
I took a Xanax midway through. Poor woman.
Thats horrible,I've felt like that before but I keep it to myself.
The way human minds morphed or dissolved due to trauma or to other factors is super mind boggling. I hope she found the help she needed to reintegrate into society.
Reintegrate my ass, keep going, just don't get stuck in-between
What if society was the cause of her madness?
@@fridasophia5356 you can never tell between a break in the mind from a cause of society or just themselves, but psychotic people as shown in the video have something wrong with them that is purely genetic, if society was the cause of this, we all would act like her.
She's dead.
If she is middle aged person in the 60’s or whenever this was filmed I’m pretty sure she saw some absolute human depravity.
Maybe she even experienced rape and starvation
I've been where this woman is. It's helpful to me to see this. I feel less alone.
Me too

Hope all of you are doing better. Hugs!

He’s just sitting there staring at her. That would make anyone anxious 😥
Hello 👋 Lisa...
exactly. This fkin "doctor" is not helping at all. Everyone would freak out
lol
He himself probably suffers with mental illness!!!! Its possible!!! He's not making her feel comfortable!!
If you are bothered by the fact that a doctor is sitting and ready to listen to you,
you have a problem, go get it.
My goodness!! I nearly got a panic attack myself watching this poor woman
Eu tbm!!!!
YO TAMBIÉN.
It does make one nervous to watch her, she looks like she’s ready to run poor woman
I would feel the same way, if nobody was talking to me and just staring at me, I would have anxiety too
Simple music can make you sing, simple hug can make you feel better and simple thing can make you happy. i hope my simple "Hello" bring smile on your face 😊
So are you taking your meds?
@@tmsphereYeah
He is just observing her no wonder she gets more anxious by the second.
Turn to bible and allow CHRIST to be your therapist, psychologist and psychiatrist. No man nor women fits to be one. All are sinners and without glory, all are tempted and suffer the same.
All are expected to REPENT AND BORN AGAIN, to LIVE HOLY AND GO AND SIN NO MORE.
All are weak in the daily fight between their spirit and flesh.
All these therapist, psychologist and psychiatrist, this world provides, can do is:
to deceive and steal.
They deceived you through all these “diagnoses” and they steal your money, through all the pills which you “need”.
In short: they poison your mind and your overall health, leaving you with neither one.
Therapist, Psychologist and Psychiatrist = Field where no human soul, never ever going to fit of being an help, no matter the among of years spend in “medical schools” or the decree gotten from there.
ALL of us are daily deceived, no matter the walks of life.
I also suffer from anxiety with psychotic features and I relate very heavily to her. When I am off my medication I can get to this point as well, it is both terrifying and embarrassing. I'm extremely grateful of the rapid rate in which mental illness is becoming a top priority in modern medicine, and my heart goes out so strongly to people like her who suffered and yet did what they could with what they had at the time... I'm glad interviews like this have been recorded and released to the public to educate and get a glimpse at how it used to be for those experiencing these awful things back when it wasn't as understood.
If you don't mind me asking, what meds do they treat you with? I am bipolar myself but have had severe anxiety issues in the past (much like this woman in the video).
@@JohnSmith-ys4nl I don't mind in the least! I'm currently on 25 mg of seroquel and 150 mg of Effexor. Before Effexor I had the worst social anxiety - now I can look people in the eyes and carry conversations! I recommend it!
@@mordi4028 Interesting, thanks. So they don't give you benzos, eh? My doc did give me benzos but she only gives me a few at a time for emergency use.
@@JohnSmith-ys4nl Unfortunately not, I'm not on a single thing for anxiety other than my Effexor 😅 I live in the US in a state where there's a heavy opioid crisis, so doctors are very strict about it. I wish I was! Ativan helps me so much, but I only get it at emergency rooms.
@@mordi4028 US doctors are bastards. I was on Xanax since 1996 and was taking a low dose and never had to raise it. I was working, driving cars, had friends etc until my Dr. of 22 years retired and nobody would prescribe me my meds anymore.
It took 3 years for me to find someone to prescribe them again, but the damage is done. Now I have full blown agoraphobia and have a lot of difficulty leaving my house. I have deteriorated because of this. I lost everything and had to quit my job because of the panic attacks, stopped driving and lost all of my friends because of the stupid opioid crisis making doctors reluctant to prescribe benzos for people that need it. I've tried over 25 different medications (antidepressants) and most make my condition worse or turn me into a zombie.
I would love to reach out and comfort this unfortunate soul. I feel so sorry for her. She's like a scared child.
You my friend. You see through the bullshit. 100 percent agree
Poor lady. My heart goes out to her and I hope she recovers.
@Ankush 😐
@@ankush.dharma4667 how do you know that? Or are you just looking for attention?
Well it was filmed a long time ago so yes she is dead.
I can feel how anxious she is! I have had severe depression and anxiety and when I get anxious, I can’t keep my legs still. Watching this has made me start doing my anxious leg movement. It’s awful when you feel like that as it could quickly degenerate into a full on panic attack where I feel the need to just run.
Gosh, I'm the same too. This video got my legs going too😢

@@tixie1895 yep, know that. Thank goodness I have had really good therapy over the past 10 years and I am nearly fully cured. It's only certain things that trigger me off but I can cope with it. Depression is the worse thing ever. My dark thoughts are gone, only still suffer from insomnia which I have always had and always will have. Meditation has helped me more than anything else. I'm not on any tablets either. Sending you love and hugs and hope you overcome your depression ❤❤❤🙏

Should u put on the track team
Im glad these disorders are made public for all to see. I did not realise how extensive they are. So sad for those who suffer this torment. 😪😞
Hello how are you doing?
To me she seems extremely traumatized. I wish more of these doctors in these videos would explore whether the patient's had any kind of past (especially childhood) trauma &/or Traumatic Brain Injuries
They would certainly do this nowadays as they have updated so many laws and diagnostic criteria which can ensure the safety of these individuals. However a lot of great research about Schizophrenia was done in the 60’s including with studying LSD.
Also a reminder that a female patient is seen as a thing to a doctor in the 60s. Oh you should read what Freud wrote. My gawd
These were recorded for posterity to show behavior, that's it.
they did, discussing it is just not the purpose of these videos
@@jenandbarrys5580 I have read Freud's writing and he does not speak badly of women. Doctor's back then were taught to discuss their patients as though they were objects. Freud was actually one of the more humane ones, and we have him to thank for much
She's searching the wall covering for a window to look outside. We see how emotional she becomes when she see's the picture of a Sunflower (or thats what she wants to see?) ... She probably hasn't been outside in years. 😢🌻
You know you have anxiety when this film gives you anxiety
Omg yes. I stopped at the 4 min mark for a breather lol
nah that's not how you know you have anxiety
She needs a benzo :(
It doesn't work like that
nonsense
This was obviously shot from behind a one-way mirror, so she was not aware she was being recorded. I get it that he's mainly just being quiet and observing, because they're trying to document her behavior, maybe to aid in diagnosis or to show to colleagues for study. But it seems incredible something like this would then be released to the public.
Yeah, these old videos ended up in university libraries. Someone who was a student got copies and uploaded them to youtube.
@@ioszeged7274I doubt that it is fitting this much to the ethics...
It’s wrong and it’s good at the same time. How would we know how far we have advanced in our handling of mental illnesses if we had nothing to compare it to?
All we can do is feeling compassion to this poor woman and hope that eventually she had access to the right medication to alleviate her nightmare.
These were used as teaching videos many years ago. And like a commenter said already were leaked to you tube. She is long since passed away this looks to be 1960. Her age may be 25 so that would make her 90 yrs old or more now.
As if there were more privacy these days… 🙄
I am no doctor but I can tell it is not just anxiety that is tormenting the poor soul.
Yeah it is not only anxiety read the lines it says *Psychotic* Anxiety.

Now you understand why the doctor is afraid, what if a violent psychopath like you was in his office? How is he to know he is safe seeing 10s like you every day?
That poor woman looks tormented, why is he just sitting there not talking to her? that can't possibly help her.
Not every therapy involves deep talks/interaction with the patient. And also, when someone is having an anxiety attack or something like this, the simplest action is to hold space so the person can feel safe without being suffocated or even more confused with talking from the doctor
He is a psychiatrist, so I doubt she was there for therapy.
@@Mariani_ That is not always true. When I am having a panic attack I want someone to talk to me especially my therapist to distract me from my intense anxiety. I don't want space when that happens, because I crave an empathetic person to soothe me and have a conversation with me, which will distract me from my distressing thoughts and bring me back down to earth.
@@FuturesPast1 I understand you... There are different approaches on therapy/psychology and in some, the therapist don't say, she/he hold space for the patient to express themself, reflect, etc...
@@FuturesPast1 maybe what can help you might be a more holistic approach, like group theraphy, and other tools that involves a more informal/community/touch approach. :)
It must be a nightmare to be in a condition like this..
To be fair most people would feel uncomfortable being silently observed by a doctor for long periods
For Jesus sake. I truly mean this from the bottom of heart. I saw a psychiatrist over 10 years ever week. I even had a melt down in the parking lot and they brought me anxiety meds immediately. Give this lady something it's very hard to watch especially with her huffing and puffing it's like she can't breathe with her high anxiety. I know that feeling.
I was going to say they probably didn't have anxiety meds back in the 60s, but then I read that Valium was approved for anxiety in 1963. That was in the US. Don't know about Europe.
If you (or someone you know) can see/hear spirits, you are NOT alone or CRAZY ! You are like me a person with a third eye/ear capability. We represent about 10% of humanity. I was Paranoid Schizophrenic for sometime. I did the meds and therapies too, but there seem to be no end/final cure. So I did my own research. BTW, I am an Engineer with a highly analytical mind. Once I knew the REAL reason (Spirits) I was set FREE ! I even turned the tables on the evil spirits. I TORMENTED them with Worship Songs, Quoted Holy Scripture to them. Even called them names and mocked them. It drove them away. The spirits would come back a few days later but I gave them the SAME treatment. Eventually they gave up. I've been meds free for the last 16 years now. The spirits no longer bother me, because I'm NO LONGER FUN to torment. The spirits prefer scared & confused victims. So Im sharing my experience and insights.
You can get schizophrenia from various reasons like a serious head injury, use of illegal drugs, practice of black magic, or traumatic events like rape, bullying, rejection, total isolation, death of a loved one or near-death experience. Anything that seriously WEAKENS your body, EMBITTERS your soul, and affects your FAITH in God, also WEAKENS your protective spiritual AURA and allows the evil spirits to communicate with you. You can pick RANDOM evil spirits from morgue, cemeteries, hospitals, asylums, jails, dungeons, and abandoned houses and isolated forests.
Our physical and spirit worlds exists in parallel dimensions, separated by force fields. The spirits can see/hear us, we can't see/hear them NORMALLY. Spirits communicate by MENTAL TELEPATHY ( mind to mind ) that's why ONLY you can see or hear them. That's why the spirits can also READ YOUR MIND/THOUGHTS ! You can also secretly TALK/SHOUT to them by TELEPATHY - in the presence of other people. No one will notice & think you're CRAZY ! Ive done this a few times & forced the spirits away.
Spirits can also DISTORT human speech. For example if your friend says " Hello, What's Up ? " it will sound like " You're UGLY & STUPID ! " and so you'll get ANGRY. That's how spirits make you PARANOID & anti-social. The speech distortion happens only a few SECONDS ! The speakers face suddenly changes to an UGLY facial expression ! The Spirits TRUE FACE shows !! Then the face reverts back to normal and the speaker is NOT even aware of what happened. He'll wonder why you're angry at him ! Ive seen this many times !!
The evil spirits want to isolate you socially. You're their TOY ! Spirits can also SHAPE SHIFT - appear in ANY form (animal or people). They can IMITATE other peoples LOOKS/VOICES and pretend like real people. Spirits can also produce SOUNDS like knocking on doors, footsteps, crying or screaming people, scratching on walls, police sirens, barking dogs etc. Their plan is to ISOLATE you socially .. for themselves. Make people think you're CRAZY .. even if you re NOT. Resist them, Don't give up .. or you're really gonna end up crazy. Remember this, its NOT you but THEM (spirits) that's causing this. Fight them, mock them, eventually they'll give up and leave. .
@napoleonaquino9347 you are so right about everything you just said. I started seeing things when I was about 5. I was so scared. Then was I was about 12. It would call me by nick name when I was in my room. Scaring the shit out of me. I would go sleep on my parents floor. By high school I could sense when things were things were going to happen. That still happens. There is a name for it. I used to be friends with this woman. Not best friends . I would dream about her and her grown son. It bothered her so much I had to call her. I told her I know you are going to think I'm crazy but I have to tell something. She said how would know these things? You are better than my psychic. But I would say I'm not a psychic. Sometimes I would go into a strangers house and know things immediately. And I can never keep my mouth shut. They look at you nasty people because it's true. Confirm it. I didn't like it either. I've been in hospitals were I've had to stay extra few weeks under care for observation from infectious disease
and during the day, spirits come out of the walls. I won't go into that story. Oh the horrid things I've seen I've seen in people's houses that do witchcraft and voodoo and if you tell them they tell you get out. Funny thing is you get a call back weeks later when they now believe you because things are now happening to them and things are getting in bed with them. You have to believe in Jesus Christ. I refuse to let my 3rd eye open. I don't need need to see anything else. It used to try to open. There is so much more I could tell. But you have already said so much and know. I have never been to the hospital for what you had to go for but I'm glad for your healing.
@@BigMamou367 Glad to be of help. I had this for more than 20 years so I studied every detail. Now that you know, your healing is assured. Get close to God and stay safe. Get well and share your knowledge.
@@napoleonaquino9347This person is truly psychotic, but fascinating because the above interaction is illustrative of a larger danger when it comes to social media. Any mentally ill person can ramble on in any comment section. The vast majority of people who read the above comments knew right away they’re psychotic and delusional. HOWEVER, there was at least one person who read the comments and said, “yes you are so right about everything you said.” Just like that, you have the nucleus for a group of weirdos to develop into.
Thank you both, long-winded lunatic and subservient lunatic.
Why isn't he trying to help her?! I don't understand the point of inviting a patient into a cold, sterile room to barely interact with her and just watch her struggle alone? Seems cruel. 😢
I agree, he should be engaging conversation ALOT more,
Make her feel comfortable in his surroundings.
She has dark lines under her eyes,
😞
This is like a training video for other doctors, to see what a patient looks like in their natural state with this level of anxiety - this isn't her treatment. Also if someone is very agitated like this woman is, you must give them lots of space and time to feel what they're feeling and not overwhelm them. How he is treating her is actually very patient, kind and helpful. The rooms are often sterile so that there is nothing patients/clients might react badly to, or perhaps hurt themselves or the doctors with.
The doctor is being extremely patient. He is asking simple questions and not forcing an answer. You can't get very far with patients like that. If you think so, you should try it sometime.
I’ve been in this exact state. And the way this doctor is interacting is just about the worst thing to do. Makes it so much worse.
Right? It must feel like torture. He establishes no real dialogue, no relationship, gives zero orientation or reassurance. She offered him so much to relate and respond to and he wastes one chance after another.
Well, you have to realize that back in the 1960s, there still wasn't a lot known about psychosis. I don't know if the doctor treating her was a psychiatrist or a regular GP. She's in a hospital, but it's unclear if it's a psychiatric hospital or a regular one that has a in-patient/out-patient psychiatric program.🤔
Why do you say that?
@@sharonhowland3235 Probably because he’s robotically asking questions and making demands of her without doing anything to reassure her that she’s safe.
I was thinking the same thing about how this doctor is acting just sitting there its not right the lady is a person not a lab rat to be ignored and just observed and btw he seems a bit paranoid himself. Very sad.
I think my reaction would be fairly close to hers if I was stuck in a room with a doctor sitting opposite of me, just staring instead of asking questions, which is the exact reason I could never "get help".
So are you taking your antipsycotic meds?
This is like a training video for other doctors, to see what a patient looks like in their natural state with this level of anxiety. Normally if you went into a doctor's office, they would be interacting with you, not just sitting watching. If someone is very agitated like this woman is, you must give them lots of space and time to feel what they're feeling and not overwhelm them by doing things like asking too many questions. How he is treating her is actually helpful - she is there because of her anxiety, he is not causing it. I hope you do get help - there are some brilliant, kind doctors out there and it can be life changing.
The doctor seemingly doesnt like her going behind his back. And I totally understand him... This is scary.
Is there any possibility of her getting violent?
Haven't even watched 20 seconds of the video when I saw the Dr. walk right behind her and instead of passing by her on her right, and letting her seat herself, he puts his hand on her to sit her down himself with pressure, and control of her, and slips himself between the table on her left side of her body where there's hardly any room between her and him and the table. Talk about how to freak somebody out right off the bat, this is really an eye opener on how she's manhandled.... It'd drive any woman to fear and anxiety. She was going to sit down, he didn't need to do that. Oh my gosh.
i have anxiety problems, so i can empathize with her quite a bit. but her anxiety is very much above and more than mine. (i do get the “i’m afraid”, though.) you can see that the psychosis is very evident. her mind must be very disoriented and mixed up. i can’t imagine what she’s going through. i do hope she was given decent meds and help. 🌷🌱
Well jeezuz, lock someone up, no doubt drugged, then sit in a cold depressing room and stare at them while they have a panic attack, great job doc!
I don't think they really understood panic attacks in the 60s. I would not have understood it until I had an actual panic attack myself. Only because of that experience, can I relate deeply to this woman. It is horrifying and irrational and you have no control over it.
This a training video to show other doctors what someone in this state appears like, it isn't her treatment
It's awful to think people with mental health conditions got treated this way. I have a lot of mental health issues, that room would put anyone crazy. She is clearly in severe panic. 😢❤
This is particularly hard for me to watch. I know this feeling well. I teach classes featuring; "Flee, Freeze, or Fight" & "Run, Hide, Fight". Ordinarily, these reactions are built into our deepest survival toolboxes to keep us safe. The problem is when they become overwhelming and debilitating. She seems to be searching, hunting for "something". Something to reach for, to lean on, to grasp, to establish a sense of balance/stability. I believe these two things are not just physical in nature. Many a normal sane person has experienced the "heebe-geebies", flat out due to an overwhelming feeling of helpless vulnerability to a perceived danger.
P.S., Last time I had this truly horrible experience there actually was a mountain lion stalking me! Are we all "crazy" now that we are no longer safe anywhere and we all have to watch our 6s?
Heck of a way to live! SMH
This how I felt wen my mom told me she had 6 months to live.. I was totally lost I freaked out n in a way I see myself in this lady it's a scary feeling
The Doctor isn’t sympathetic, he insists she sits down so he can interview her but she’s so agitated she can’t sit still , I don’t like this at all as I feel she shouldn’t be made to sit down .
Hey there! I came across your comment and I just had to reach out and say hi. Your perspective really caught my attention and I would love to get to know you better. Would you be interested in chatting sometime? Looking forward to hearing back from you! 😊
I feel like this sometimes. I do a lot of pacing, hand wringing and feeling like I want to run and run and never stop. However there is a saying. ' Where ever you go, there you are'
So I feel this ladies desperation, exasperation, confusion and anxiety
A way to calm down is to think of a color. Look around until you see an object or chosen color and say what you are looking at. Do it five times without distraction.
Eg: brown- look around and think of nothing then I see a brown door I say 1 brown door, look, 2 lady with brown hair etc.

i have extreme anxiety some days i walk in a daze can’t be inclosed without windows doors open phobia comes over me and i panic like her
I have been like this and worse. I am not untreated, unmedicated and have a child and got into uni a few years ago. I had a lot of trauma and generational trauma probably likely this woman. I'm sure with some therapy she can overcome this. I've been and seen much worse than this when I dated a Bf in the system. God bless her.
People with mental illness past or present aren't monsters. Meds have alot of side effects: sedation, disorientation, different from those unmedicated. trauma makes us feel isolated and unloved, hopeless and disconnected. The system has great help for people unable to be brought up properly. It's just a symptom of a broken person but people all have a mechanism for life. This is part of her but it's about integrating it and all her trauma to live her life the way she wants. Heal trauma and her mind would be better and healthy. Unhealthy circumstances create an unhealthy mind. Just as someone with depression isn't always depressed same goes for psycosis.
She is utterly overwhelmed by anxiety ,stress and she is afraid..my heart goes out to her mind is torturing her..poor soul..i wonder if she got the help she despertely needed..

The woman could be experiencing side effect from an antipsychotic. Thorazine, discovered in France was known to be sedating, but also causes restlessness, jerks, tics, spasms, difficulty speaking, walking, dry mouth and constipation,,,just to name a few. Antipsychotics are extremely toxic and were given to subdue violent behavior. Antipsychotics, we find 70 years later are extremely, extremely toxic to brain and the CNS. Akathisia is beyond hell torture from antipsychotics, wrecking the spine, spinal fluid, and up to the brain.
Thank you for sharing. It was often used because it was cheap. Today they have much better as antipsychotics but they cost a fortune do are not prescribed unless patient has top shelf insurance.

It seems as if his attentive observation makes her feel her feelings even stronger. At first she appears a bit calmer. She displays avoidance body language at first when he starts his questions. I think in this bleak room she has even less distractions than usual. I feel like she might want to escape from her head, like she might want to distract herself. Understandable of course if she's stressed out / afraid.
Of course I might be wrong, just my opinion.
Good point. Also the doctor is literally just watching her. He’s not directing this interaction or helping her just making her worse.
How is she supposed to know day from night in that room? And that small uncomfortable chair. I wouldn't want to sit down either if I was in that condition. She is experiencing delusions, extreme anxiety, and psychosis. I hope she got help.
Since this film appears to have been taken in the 1960s, I don't think this poor woman and the doctor are still alive. I can only hope she was able to get the treatment she needed.🤔
She will be passed away now she looked nearly 50 then, however she behaves like a scared frightened child. It’s just sad and I hope she found peace.
Valium was approved in the US for anxiety in 1963. Hopefully, it was available in France, as well.
I’ve worked with so many people just like this in the 20 years I’ve been in this field. It’s just very sad that they have so much anxiety.

She is already receiving treatment for this level of anxiety - the situation is not what is causing it. This is a training video for doctors, so they are simply recording how she is acting on her own. She would be receiving therapy and medication following this.

I get severe panic attacks but nothing as bad as this. She is in a terrible state. I wonder if she found peace?
Fight them, mock them, eventually they'll give up and leave. .
@@napoleonaquino9347you are right right about all you Said!all these are teachings present in islam we learn at young age.i pity thé fact that a lot of schizophrenic people are in fact just possessed.
@@soumias04 Each case of schizophrenia maybe be purely medical reasons ( serious head injury, chemical imbalance, illegal drugs etc) but when there are NO obvious reasons available, just purely psychological issues, then spirit activity is also a possibility. because spirits can affect our senses (seeing, hearing, smelling etc) and cause chemical imbalance to show in our brain scans too.
@@soumias04 Good thing you know and understand the work of spirits. Sad thing about Western medicine is they often deny the work of spirits in schizo cases. Are you in the medical/nursing profession ? It will help you a lot if you consider the work of spirits. I was victimized by spirits in the past so I did a lot of research on them.
Feeling horrible for her. I'm.feeling horrible just watching her imagine being in her place
Poor lady. She'd crawl out of her skin if she could. I feel for her.
Wow I really wanted to watch this but her anxiety is making my anxiety go up. Nope I'm out cause I want to scream just watching her😢
This is something I’ve dealt with my whole life! I had traumatic abandonment situations as a child. I remember crying so hard because I was left with people I didn’t know for days. My psychiatrist says that triggers fight/flight response that creates panic and anxiety. Whenever a stressful situation would arise my body would “overreact” because of the trauma before.
It’s very uncomfortable to see her like this. I know that place but mine is worse. I shake/tremble and hyperventilate; cry hysterically. My heart rate becomes dangerous and sedatives must be given. I’ve managed to live a full life, marriage, children, career but it happens occasionally. Much lesser now that I take medication regularly.
It’s heartbreaking because it makes you want to kill yourself because it’s so debilitating and all consuming! I have a lot of compassion for people with this! My psychiatrist told my husband that if he took the medication I take he would sleep for 3 days, yet I do everything, run errands, cook, clean, walk the dogs, see friends, travel, be with my children, etc.
may God bless her.
The Doctor must have been attacked in there many times. It brought back memories when I saw him flinch. I worked in a psych hospital and I know that feeling of unprectability.
It's like he's observing a lab rat and filming it. I hope he prescribed her something that actually helped her at the end of this session, he certainly didn't help one bit.🙄
I have really bad anxiety. I get claustrophobic. If I was forced to sit in a room, feeling like crap, with some shrink who’s barely even talking …hell I’d be anxious too. And this is before she could just look down at her iPhone to try to get her mind off of how awkward it is in there. Not even a window she can stand by, watch the birds- anything 🙈🥺
Are you serious? You think they had iphones in the 60s?
@lady198 they said ''and this is before" they clearly stated that it was Before they had iPhones
No windows,no pictures, just a room….it feels like this is her mind. Nothing but an almost empty mind. Nothing was accomplished.Such a shame, but this is also long ago. It’s too bad that not much was known to treat patients in those days. They probably felt hopeless, I imagine trapped in their own mind and body.🙏❤️
Couldn't they give her a sedative and some compassion?
give her nature, a walk in a forest, a meadow, she us so nervous. this questions don’t make it better. how he can ask to sit down, don’t he recognized her uneasiness. There isn’t any help. I would feel totally lost.
What's the point of this? She goes into this ugly room with a Dr. who just watches her being full of anxiety, she obviously doesn't want to be in that room, she is so uncomfortable, poor woman, give her some encouragement , something to do, instead of watching her like a trapped animal in a cage. My goodness, the Dr. is awful in dealing with her in my opinion.
I agree, we need more context, why is she even there in the first place?...and who wouldn't be uncomfortable in that situation?...No telling what kind of cocktail of experimental drugs they've got her on, only to be analyzed by some ''Doctor'', she's basically a lab rat
Asking her opinion of what time of day it was??? And not speaking when shes clearly ready to respond.. I hope she got the help she needed and i hope phychatrists dont conduct sessions like this anywhere anymore
She feels like she is being watched and keeps feeling around to find who is watching. she was totally correct. camera behind the mirror was watching. She absolutely had issues but this "treatment" was hurting more than helping.
I wonder how many people reading your comment had a twinge of paranoia. Truman Show, anyone?
OMG !!! JAKA BIEDNA KOBIETA , CIERPI I BOI SIE .... BOZE , BLAGAM O POMOC DLA TEJ PANI ..... 🥺😭😱😫🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Why was the doctor just sitting there watching her? Did they just want the audience to know her state? Because they certainly were helping her. That was so sad
I Feel so sorry for her❤❤❤❤❤
I suffer with anxiety too it's bad when I'm out and about and there'ots of people and lots of noises I have to walk out with my cousin worker go for a coffee or go for a walk and that helps but still it gets to much for me
Hey there! I came across your comment and I just had to reach out and say hi. Your perspective really caught my attention and I would love to get to know you better. Would you be interested in chatting sometime? Looking forward to hearing back from you! 😊
@@franklinstephen3268 I had one of my episode don't remember what I was doing think I was sleep walking or something
Same or else I’ll get frustrated n feel weird
He's not really helping at all, is he?!😤 No wonder her anxiety is hitting the roof!
Maybe he is just waiting for her to calm down
To be fair, I don’t think these sessions are meant to be part of the treatment. They’re simply interviewing patients who are suffering from various mental illnesses. These sessions seem to be designed specifically to observe and document their behavior so that they can study and obtain information in order to better understand how to treat the patient and future patients. It’s all part of the process. It might also be simply to track their progress which doesn’t necessarily include a therapy session.
@@kritikamurmu4646 She won't. That's not how it works.
@@dawnstar6727 you have a point there.
Sometimes I think a simple hug would cure me. Still can’t believe that’s too much to ask for in this day and age. So many more are gonna break…
join the club. we are all in the same situation
I got anxious just by watching it. I feel her.
Very said for the patient and her family 😢
I would be anxious too, if some guy just sat there and for the most part just stared at me , trying to force me to sit down, so cold and non-understanding/, with very little empathy, like a controlling robot..
She looked tired and miserable. But now out of pain
The woman seems the most normal person in this room, she is walking, moving, imagining, using her criativity lol. Life is made to live, people sited in a chair are wasting their lives. I love to walk, sing and talk to myself. Good Morning Sun, Good Night Moon ;)
Ok 😂 do you work sometimes buddy?
"Oh my gosh and now they see me what i been doing to myself omg im a mess"
I feel her anxiety like shes ashamed or something like shes trapped idk i feel horrible for her she wants to he happy but shes been thru alot or she feels she just cnt be happy
Kept waiting for him to engage with her properly, but just stupid questions like small talk , no wonder she escalates
The dark circles under the poor woman's eyes from anxiety
God help these people I would hate to be in her shoes this really is a sad disorder
I see a person that is totally deprived of a humane environment and of humane interaction (she is not even greeted nor called by her name Deprived of clothing and of hair and body care. It’s a shame to these so-called doctors that they torture this woman for their own egocentric purposes.
Yeah better just toss her out on the street like you do in America with 0 meds, very ethical.
He called her by her name. I'm french.
She is not being tortured - what are you basing that on? She has clothes on, and this style of big hair was popular at that time - it isn't uncared for. Also, people who are having mental health issues often care very little for their appearances or personal hygiene. She may not want her hair to be brushed. Perhaps it makes her anxious? You see how dangerous it is to read so much into so little information - you have no clue what the environment was so it is not right to presume any of what you said
@@audreyh6628 perhaps you are as emotionally blind as these “ doctors” ?
The ending was very sad. This doctor or psychologist did not treat her, and the woman left in the same condition as she entered.
He was like why are you laughing. She was not laughing at all she was trying to cope somehow.
I worked in a behavior unit had one large patient spent most of life in institutions he had emotional violent attacks against other staff but we had like a walkway to the building and him and I used to talk not me talking to him in a clinical way but as another person..eg I said his name and told him I feel SAd today and he tapped me on the back ..I worked there 24 years not once did he ever agrees toward .me,the other staff as my supervisor said you have a gift..I said no not at all ..just treating one human being like a human being not better not worse...the gift was after I retired felt right in my heart and concious...for whatever it's worth..you have awesome day smile!^!~
❤
THATs my life since 2020, this APOCALYPSE IS unberable, havent stop crying since then
This is extremely sad watching her so helpless
The Sunflower /Eclipse relation is very interesting.
Nah they got her on so many Phyc meds it makes you look crazier than you are 😢
after 3 years of threatment finally i understand that my anxiety was that bad and how paranoid i felt woow
How much of this psychotic behavior is caused from childhood abuse?
I feel this every time I’m in a doctor’s office. I make them leave the door open while I wait.
