the relationship between father and son is fantastic, you can tell from the son, an upright young man, nice and helpful! if only everyone would take the time and raise their children like this, we would have many problems less "mass shootings" and much more.! this is something i noticed right away, he is interested in nature, educated, really nice to see, makes the video much better, we need more such young man. you are a great team! greetings from Swiss/Italy

When I think of my childhood and all the things we did it saddens me so many children live in the city and never leave it. I grew up on a "farm" with every animal you can think, of and some you can't. We had a pond and a rope swing, ice skating, swimming, fishing. I'm talking Tom Sawyer, stick string, hook and we dug our own worms. Many tree and other forts, Sleigh and tobogan riding. I could go on. 😁

but I also dig the respect that Junior gives to his Pop as well...i.e. not talking when his Dad speaks and the way he listens. Junior is going to be a great man.

Lived in Henderson and launched from a public ramp 2 1/2 miles from the dam. This was 1980 -'83 and the water was even with the two intakes right at the dam. I was amazed when I happened across a vid of the lake now. Not ashamed to admit I teared up thinking about all the folks that made their living on the water. I was a Chef and knew most of them on a personal level and my heart goes out to them one and all. I want to thank you for the vids and the reminder of all the great times that I lived on that wonderful lake.

The installment of that ladder is pretty nice. I see that it was chained to the rock so it couldn’t be moved or stolen. Those signs warning of the amoeba were kind of terrifying! That would be a horrible way to go, that’s for sure! Those hot springs definitely look like they were hidden away. Looks like a nice place to take a soak and relax. Great video!

I really appreciate outdoorsmen like you guys that spread the message of conservation. It takes help from everyone to assure the fish and game get big and make it all worth it. To do that we have to take care of the spaces they live in and harvest them in responsible and humane ways. I really hope Mead can get some water from its headwaters in the future to bring the level up some and help the fish out. Their world is literally shrinking daily.

23:40 Remember, fish are coldblooded animals, so placing that fish on the bottom of your hot boat is like putting it in a fire. Keep in mind that, because they are cold-blooded, even handling the fish with your bare hands is also painful for them. I learned this from a veterinarian who specializes in fish medicine. He told me, when I'm sport fishing and handling fish, to wear wool gloves that I need to get wet BEFORE I handle the fish. It causes less stress on the animal and helps them to recover even faster after you've released them back into the water. Just a suggestion.

Thanks to Senior for your service (my husband is an Iraq combat vet and I was in support never deployed, active Army) and both your willingness to help people while you’re out on the lake. I liked how you threw in some fishing there and educated folks (only been once in my life). Seeing the hot springs was awesome you gotta have those crocks on 4WD! 😂 Was cool getting to see the dam up close from the bottom. Love that you guys keep it simple with your videos but definitely I laughed a few times on this one. Take care from Oregon and look forward to future videos. BTW those hot springs are therapeutic you should look it up many beneficial things. We used to go to a hot springs pool all the time when I was younger here in Central Oregon (Kahneeta which they plan to reopen next year - probably good fishing on the reservation there too). Look forward to your travels!

    Awesome video guys!!
Just when Vegas was starting to re-open after the pandemic, my wife and I had to take time off and we went to Vegas. It was July 2020, Vegas proper was still mostly closed. There is nothing more serene than standing in the middle of Las Vegas Blvd, at 9pm at night, and dont have a single car honking at you. We planned outdoor activities, and one of them was the kayaking you guys mentioned. We booked with Blazin' Paddles Nevada and had an amazing time, put in the river right at Willow beach. We kayaked EXACTLY 2 years ago today, July 7th.
It was HOT that day, some 115 in the canyon and the water was a cool 56, which is normal for us from the Northeast. I had a cap meant to get wet and the most refreshing act was to dunk the cap in the cool water and just pull it over my head.
The spot you guys noted at about 9:13 in was explained by our guide from Blazin Paddles, Dani, that the area of Emerald Cove was one of the sites being considered by the Bureau of Reclamation as a potential dam site. They had surveyors that had to use that wire strung cart and treacherous wooden walkway to get to the site, and take measurements of water volume, flow rates, turbidity and more. They went back and forth multiple times a day.
Wish we had a chance to visit the hot springs!! Added to the list for our next trip back!
You guys need to keep up what you are doing, really good vids.

Now that's what it is all about right there, a father and son having a nice time of fishing and discovering places together. It is very cool that y'all release those trophy fish and nice to hear you explain why you do what you do. Those hot springs were super cool, er uh, hot I mean, but cool nonetheless!!! Keep doing what you're doing because it is awesome!!! Cheers!!!

Hey guys, love the content. I've recently tried watching a few other channels with similar content about the area but I feel spoiled. Y'all come across as very genuine, the content is interesting and enjoyable to watch and edited well. Glad I found the channel. Plan on watching lots more of your previous content. (Been watching about a month or so...) Great job!

Great to see you guys doing some fishing, and catching!!
I live in southwest Ohio, went out in my kayak last night on a deep clear water reservoir, caught about 20 largemouth bass, mostly on top water with a buzzbait.
have an amazing smallmouth river in my backyard,I understand the catch and release mentality.
    Keep up the great content.

That was a Loon at 6:35. I didn’t know they stayed that far south in the summer. They migrate from Northern Canada to Mexico. That’s a common sound in summer in the high mountain lakes anywhere in North America, but only if it’s remote. They like their privacy.

Go downriver from the Hoover Dam a few miles and pull out to the left at Ringbolt Rapids. I went there with a canoe around Christmas of 1989.
I think I remember hearing there’s a way to walk there from a road, but no idea how.

Great video Guys I really enjoyed it! On a side note, the oldest underground water in the world was found it the Kidd Creek Mine in Timmins Ontario Canada, my city, on the 7400' level of 9700' bottom of the mine. This find was documented all over the world about 4 years ago, I worked on that 7400' level in my mining days before this was discovered.

Hey guys I love your videos, Willow Beach has been one of my favorite places since the early 70s, love to tell you the stories about how big the trout were in the river. In the 40s and the 50s they were catching 30-35 lb rainbow trout there used to be on the walls in the Marina was your hall of fame and you could see over the years the decline in the size of the rainbows from 30 to 40 to 2 to 3 lb in the 90s. A lot had to do with it that the stripers weren't in that part of the river until the spillways were open in 1983 at the dam.

When I went on the hoover dam tour in 1980 something? The tour guy said the dam inspectors in diving gear brought cattle prods with them because there were 6 plus foot catfish or Sturgeon? I don't know if that is true? But he said it scared the diver's. Stuck with me as a child. My dad lived there and brought me every year to see the dam. Beautiful and scary as a child. And the story of men getting buried in the concrete because when they started pouring they couldn't stop? I don't have a clue if that was true either?
