Love these videos but PLEASE consider a small plastic spatula if you don't have dash removal tools or similar. Using a flat head will increase your risk of scratches just be careful.
Maybe wrap a thin towel around the tip of the flat head to help when there is no other choice.
Excellent video. This was it exactly what I needed. Couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you so much
I love how he keeps calling it the ashtray, when there's a sticker on it clearly saying 'NOT AN ASHTRAY'

Yeah, finally figured it out.
The directions from this video helped.
First, pull straight, then close a little. Then pull more straight while closing the lid further at the same time. If stuck, release the jammed bottom part and pull more straight out.
You may need to press slightly on the small plastic bezel in front of the shifter to finally remove the pocket.
Extremely easy to follow and helpful 👌
Nice video and helped me tremendously. I might add that a Phillips head driver with a magnet will be helpful. I lost two screws. Didn't really need ☺️
If I dropped something behind that compartment would it be harmful to the car?
Just a reminder...Reconnect wiring power plug to back of not-an-ashtray before reinstalling that piece..
Thanks man, big time help, narration helps out tremendously as well, Thank you for the post. Please keep making videos. New subscribers here. Peace
I own a 2003 accord but I wanted to attach this center pocket, But somehow it has somesort of metal mount which is not letting the box to get inside, just give me a quick review or do I have to get them cut?
Thank you for posting this video!!!!!
Thank you for sharing this video, very helpful.
Hey there! Nice job on the vid! Question here. Does a center console and stereo from an Acura Tsx ( US market) fit on my Accord CL7 (Euro market) ?
Excellent how to video, thank you.
Thank you so much , i love you man ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing
nice.. thank you much!
on mine it won't shut
Jerryboi05 ,
Same with mine.
When it's out a little, it refuses to shut. If I shut it first, it will not come out.
In any case, it refuses to come out fully.

I wanted to know how to take the cup holder out not the whole damn center console
Mine won’t open 😬
Ur a fuckin beast
Thanks for the video, my front socket wont work(already checked the fuse) was wondering how to replace the socket! Now i know thanks to your help!
Did mine last week. After you remove the connector from the back of the lighter socket, you'll see the black plastic retainer ring. Ring has 2 large and 2 small plastic pinch points. I pried the smaller ones outward and pushed socket (hard) out the front (cover side). Metal socket has holes in it corresponding to the these pinch points. I had lighter socket from GM car, it fit but couldn't be held by honda's plastic retainer, there were no holes in socket to grab onto. GM has screw-in metal retaining ring on backside that was too long to fit; i suppose it could have been cut down, glued, etc. The honda part was much better finished and built better, but appears to be unique to honda? The honda socket when pushed in snaps into place. FWIW my original socket was functional, parts of a broken usb adapter were wedged in the hole. The power plug also fits the GM part.
