On this week's episode, we're duck diving into the bountiful musical wisdom that lies behind mastermind and longtime friend DJ Premier.
Best DJ Premier interview ever. Thank you guys!
I respect A-Trak questions and emphasis on the “Beat Making” aspect with Preem. You don’t get too many of these types of talks when it comes to interviews with Preem. So I respect this so much, coming from a beat maker who’s always looked up to Preem and wondered all the intricacies with his stages of production. Peace & respect to Duck Sauce for this one 🙌🏽
This is just pure epic. The chat, the animations, the background music... Love it!
I seriously cannot get enough of you too. The musical tastes you both have are amazing, and the combination of those two styles is perfect. You’re personalities really mesh and I love it.
So rad. Step in the arena cuts are the dopest. He's such a one off.
Great talk
Great stuff guys. Keep it up. The Doobie Brothers is underrated IMO.
premier is so dope. my favorite dj/producer of all time. Gangstarr forever
This is dope. A-Trak I had your old pal eli escobar on my podcast. Holla!
dropping jewels on this one... I'm here for the Janet Jackson question level of nerdiness
Man, this was so good for my soul! I love how your house/hip-hop worlds meet in a very similar way to mine. Big time look up to all three of you!
Omg! This channel is amazing! Billy Carson brought me here! New subbie
Rao's is legit so good
I remember Premier handing out a white label with "The ? Remains" on the B-side after his Brussels show. He scratched the entire B-side with a box cutter to make sure we couldn't listen to it, but the classic trick of adding some coins on top of the needle solved that somewhat. Not that we could play it in a set, but just enough to hear Preem's genius.
The cooking tips were unexpected but super fantastic. I use A-Track’s Montreal Steak seasoning and Rao’s Pasta Sauce that Armand uses! 🍝
Armand Van Heldan is so humble, been watching a few of these such a goat, loved this, Todd Terry, Kenny Dope episodes are incredible x
Whoa I watched so many premier interviews but that was the best so far, thanks! And the guru part, damn. I met him in London and what Armand is describing is the absolute truth.
Love this, real dj stuff.
What kind of music is played in the background at the beginning of the episode?
Duck Sauce - get to steppin
@@davidhamid8025 I meant the songs that are played in the background while they talk about food and cooking. They seem to be greek traditional songs and I was really surprised.
Why A-Traks beard look like he spray painted that shit on
If it ain't broke don't try to fix it.
dope interview
