Twitch, kick, and UA-cam. Since I'm a dj it's always a gamble whether or not UA-cam is going to nuke the stream due to copyright

Great guide video! Regarding Restream, it's a little unfortunate that the verbiage on Restream's page gives the idea that using their free tier will limit you to 720p and have a watermark on stream. I know a few of us are out there trying to keep people correctly informed about that so thanks and great work showing that in this vid!

Informative.. Very well done.. Also, if you were to include NDI in the mix, there are even more options that you would have access to in combination with the methods you've shared here. That's maybe a bit more advanced.

I used Restream this Summer for my kayak streams Worked great Now that it's cold out and will be doing indoor streams, I've been thinking of using Restream with the MultiRTMP plugin to do three stream endpoints but only need bandwidth for two

but what about streaming on youtube and tiktok at the same time? pretty sure for aitum you need the tiktok livesteam key but i've never been able to get it so i had to use the tiktok live studio (which means i used obs for yt and tiktok studio for tiktok which probably isnt the best for my pc or internet)

I stream with Prism Live Studio it restreams at 1080p with very little cpu use and that is with 4 channels.
UA-cam doesn't cut your video feed after your done you go check and it will say copyright strike and gives you option to remove segment of video or sometimes They can take out just the song
I use it too. It's pretty good. I wish they would make it for LInux though.

The fact the branding (watermark) for restream isn't actually in the streams is actually really interesting. I believe you should still have a link telling people you're using their services but that's not a big deal. Technically it tells you the branding is for the description when you hover over it but I too misunderstood, thinking the watermark would be in the stream.
Their website is definitely confusing, but it would actually cost them more money to put a watermark than it's worth.
It would require them to transcode *every* stream, and that is *very* expensive which is why they charge for transcoding.
@@nuttylmaoWell yes, I get that it would cost more but these days some companies do things that cost them a lot of money for no apparent reason. So there certainly could have been a universe where they did add a watermark to all free streams to get more users or get people to upgrade to get rid of it. Possibly banking on the fact people don't want the watermark and avoid the service because of it (something that already happens reading the comment section), keeping free accounts low and thus keeping costs reasonable.
I'm just glad there isn't one so will probably end up using the service in the future!
No, I mean, it's *way* more expensive. Transcoding is insanely costly. Restream would torpedo their entire business overnight. Transcoding is a *necessity* to add a watermark. I mean it when I say it's more worth it for Restream to not add a watermark than to add one in.
There are other ways they could go to milk money (such as hijacking your stream titles, time limits etc), but adding a watermark is extremely, extremely unlikely. There's a reason they charge so much for transcoding. Not even Twitch transcodes everyone's stream, and they are backed by Amazon.

As I used the RTMP Plugin (I'm using my PC for streaming and gaming), Escape from Tarkov I timed out every round after a couple of minutes because of BattleEye Anticheat. After the second disconnect I can't reconnect anymore. After deleting the dll, it works again so I don't know if BattleEye tracked the dll as "cheat"?
Just a heads up. Idk if this is the case in the free version but can put a custom RTMP in restream . So you can stream to an unsupported platform. You won't get the merged chat though.
IIRC the custom RTMP option isn't part of the free tier. But I could be wrong!
@@nuttylmao The RTMP is on the free tier. Back when I streamed on Kick before the bad stuff happen and it didnt' have its own option you could use the custom RTMP to setup Kick

What about the alerts though nutty? The problem I always find with multistreaming, is when you connect to an account in OBS, it'll only pull the alerts from what ever platform account you signed in to.

Hi nutty I don't know about you but I have a problem with OBS STUDIO I installed the latest update 30.0 and from then on the obs program doesn't work for me as it used to, it seems to overload the PC
and then I noticed that I use the custom stinger it goes in jerks and a slow motion noise is no longer smooth I tried to install the previous version 29.1 but the problem is still there now what could it be?

I stream on different apps and honestly dude I've been meaning to do this but sometimes the amount of brain power and time needed is just so extra. Like it can take a whole week just testing different stuff and all the little features. And I mean a whole week. Not like 8 hours a day. Anyways... thank you for doing this so that I may do less.

Not without a stream key. You can join an agency to get one.
Otherwise, you'll have to install Aitum then use virtual cam to get the video over to TikTok Live Studio.
Question I haven't seeen down in the comments. If you multistream using restream to say Twitch/UA-cam how do you set up the UA-cam broadcast? becuase they want descriptions and thumbnails etc..
You go live just like you do on Twitch. You can edit the broadcast once you've gone live.
I believe you can also edit it before going live, but can't remember the exact pages (UA-cam Studio is cringe).
I always avoided Restream because everyone and the site mentions the watermark being added in. There are some games I was considering not multistreaming due to CPU usage (2 OBS instances), but knowing there's no watermark, I'll definitely use Restream. Well, maybe. I don't think I've ever had transcoding options on Twitch, so I'm not sure how that'll work out with the bitrate and resolution (1440p60, 15k+ bitrate would be sent to Restream). With the OBS method I send 720p60 4500 kbps to Twitch.
I still get transcoding on Twitch regardless of using Restream's free service.
Unfortunately Restream isn't a great option for 15K+ bitrate because Twitch only accepts 8K.
Unless you are okay with Twitch crushing your resolution down to 720p or potentially not even delivering your stream.
@@nuttylmao ha, literally just found that out tonight. Restream was only taking 12k and the it didn't work on Twitch.

Yes, but it uses even more GPU resources because you now have to render two different layouts.
Network bandwidth is the same.
The water mark on free tier to Restream io, it adds a text in your UA-cam description saying “used restream io” or something, YOU CAN EASILY REMOVE IT!

One problem I had was my twitch side music was really distorted. Idk why maybe something to do with having it on my "sample" channel in go XLR?
