It is probable that Joan Jet has listened to this song in 1981-1982 and maybe subconsciously she had it in the back of her head when composing "I love rock n roll" a few years later.
Ohhh , so it was just a cover of an old song what Joan Jet did! Then I guess it solves everything. All were inspired by this old song! I just searched for it , it is very nice , from 1975 , I feel ashamed that I did not know it!
NWOBHM made me the man I am today. I heard KILL 'EM ALL, sought out a copy of BLACK METAL and DON'T BREAK THE OATH and it open the floodgate. Kings and queens of rocknroll, all. Long live NWOBHM.
A great local band, i had this single for sale in my record shop in the silver arcade in leicester in 83, kept one back for myself though, it's good to see it on here..
Lyrics When the light goes down tonight When the night begins to rise Stay with me! Stay with me tonight! When you're waiting in the crowd I can see it in your eyes Won't you lay with me! Lay with me tonight! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! When you're waiting for the show Or the place that we will go And you'll be my lonely lady When you spend the night alone Or tomorrow you will go Why don't you stay with me! Love with me tonight! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! When the light goes down tonight When the night begins to rise Why won't you stay with me! Stay with me tonight! When you're waiting in the crowd I can see it in your eyes Why won't you lay with me! Lay with me tonight! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels! Forgotten Angels
The information for this is incorrect. This particular recording was actually done before Ian Morrison joined the band so Rob Philpotts did the vocals and David Challis was on bass.
Fifth Angel's title track, they fucking ripped these guys OFF! Shame on Byrd! Mate, suss out the title track like I voiced and you'll surely hear that these bangers got the fucking shit end of the m'fucking stick! I'd be very pissed mate, VERY!
@@ericv7720 Mellatica even plagiarized each other. Dave clearly wrote all the music for the first records and they didn't even credit him after they kicked him out.

Indeed. I remember it too.

I'm pretty sure that Lita solo wrote more of her own material than Joan lol

Plagiarism's old as the hills in metal. Just ask Metallica!

You, guys, got it all wrong... It's just a "How many bands/artists are you able to single out within just one song?"
Hay muchas dentro de la NWOBHM que marcan temas individuales legendarias en un EP de sólo 2 piezas musicales.👌
:-)
Awesome!! 😎
