Thanks John. Ted loves it all and I'm just glad I can still take him out. He has been a fantastic dog and while he has lost some steam, he can still out think the other two.

Love watching you and dogs working. Is that the stone hide I saw in the background? Looks great land to be shooting on. Good luck the rest of the season.

Looks like a really good time. I don't know why you missed bird #2. Lead? Distance? Why do you switch from an O/U instead of your semi when pheasant hunting? Your woods are so very different from mine. I have a channel, called Musher's Tails. You can see my woods and dogs on it. Thanks for the video. I'm enjoying the shot cam and the dog work.

@mushercdn My replies dont seem to be getting through to you. The second bird was missed in behind. You can see the shot ruffling its tail feathers after the first shot. Game shooting is still quite traditional here and using a semi auto is generally not the done thing and is generally frowned on.
The natural vegetation of Ireland is dense deciduos forest so when an area is left to its own devices, that is what you get. I have watched your videos before and really enjoy watching your dogs. The whole way of life of a musher appeals greatly to me. In fact my favourite book us "Winterdance" by Gary Paulsen. Maybe someday i will get to try it for myself but our winters just aren't cold enough.

There is a lot of tail to a pheasant. I guess you must really focus on the head of the head while swinging. Nothing wrong with tradition. At least you're not using long bows! Regarding the Iditarod, I owned a Jeff King dog. Good dog but with no size to her. Tiny animal. I also owned another with Jeff King lineage. Amazing animal that was a lead dog at 7 months. It broke a leg just running around. One titanium rod and a fortune later it was leading again. But epilepsy appeared 6 months later. I put the dog down. I had another that was half Swingly. It looked like a Gordon Setter. Great dog that lived to a ripe old age. I still miss that dog. But my best dogs were the malamute crosses I had at first. They were not fast but they were powerful. Primitive, though.

Good afternoon. Could you give me any contact details for yourself please as I would like to discuss the option of a joint video for social media from a Falconry Hunting Day if your interested?
    Many thanks
