A few years ago SiriusXM dropped its commercial-free "Beautiful Music" channel called "Escape." Many listeners complained, and the channel was reinstated! It's still around!
Such beautiful music! I have a faint memory of an FM radio station in Edmonton, Alberta around this time (1981)! I was eight years old and it was music like this that fueled my love for different genres, especially classical, instrumental and what my mom called "candlelight dinner music". This kind of radio faded away quickly with the eighties decade, particularly here in western Canada! Thanks for uploading this!😊
We used to have a station in San Diego in the 80"s through late 90"s that had this wonderful kind of music it was 1360 am kpop. Last good music station I found in las vegas in late 90"s through 2008.was kjul 105.3 unfortunately it went away oh thee were a lot of people upset it was a good mix of standards and it just was so pleasant to drive in Vegas and it was even so strong I could hear in Pahrump where my folks lived. Oh I miss that station.
I remember we tried to get stations like this from The Tri Counties... back in the 1970s to the early 1990s from San Pedro California...it was a time when we would drive to a area or being in Santa Barbara... I record this with a tape recorder to take this home.... because the stations in L A.. would make a mess out of the the ones coming in from the north or San Diego...i never got a recording of this station.... with this music 🎵🎶 playing...i think it was too hard to get at the time... very cool stuff!!!...we must keep the stations alive... California on the coast was the best... very fitting Too!!!
This music is making a comeback in my area but not on the FM Dial but in large hospitals. They play it at low volume in the halls, bathrooms and doctor offices in the hospitals. There are 2 in my area within 30 miles of each other. One of them is a navicent hospital.
@@vintagemiscellany5719 They even have a loud speaker outside at one of the hospitals near the enterance and it's louder outside. There are benches nearby.
This is the Norman Luboff Choir w/ the Melachino Orchestra. The Ray Charles Singers version does not have string instruments... but it's just as pretty (IMO).
Hi! If you could point me to where the interference took place, perhaps I can fix it. What I did 41 years ago was to take a stereo tape deck, feed KACY into the left channel, and KRUZ into the right channel. I thought that it would be neat to record two easy listening stations side by side on the same tape - perfectly simultaneous recording. Quality ain't bad for a single channel on a stereo cassette tape!
Absolutely awesome 👏 I miss those radio stations 😢

You're just like me! Whenever I traveled, I'd always bring a tape recorder to sample the local radio wherever I was.
Love this added to my quiet tea time playlist
Thank you so much for uploading these 💙
When I was a young girl, I had no idea just how precious my eccentric hobby would become. I'm so happy that I can share the memories.

If I need major surgery, I'm bringing a recorder!

21:30 some history bits
Awesome instrumental/orchestral version of "More Than A Woman"...does anybody know who's playing it?
Is that the Ray Charles Singers performing 'This Is My Song' at 40:58?

Is that interference coming from 104.5 from SLO or 105.1 from LA?

33:00 Is a terrible version of Burt Bacharach's " what the world needs now" absolutely horrible.
