With prompt engineering skills you should apply it in Ur relevant domain for example if you are data analyst learning P:E which is relevant to data analysis and implementing those prompts for getting insights will help you to get the results faster than before...
Learning prompt engineer alone is not going to help you in career but yes it will help you for daily general usage
