Layoffs are going on in IT sector from last couple of years. I was laid off 3 times in last 2 years quoting some absurd reasons. But still I got a job and getting 30LPA right now. Now I have stopped putting more than 100% at work because we know that they can lay us off whenever they want without any reason. I am in IT sector for about 12+ Years...with salary (30+ LPA..which is avg..)...WFH from last 4 years(2020)...Staying with parents and family...Not all IT jobs has this much problems...though I have seen few toxic managers. But you should always keep learning in IT Sectors..this helps..my work pressure is also manageable....

Hi I want to add something, I had indian managers before and now i have american manager, difference is in india people give priority to their work a lot, what i mean is, in usa my other teammates go to their kids soccer match after work or have dinner after work or something, but here in india whenever someone says "try to finish the work before today eod, you can do it in home too :)" no dum dum, i cannot, managers in india should give priority to work hours not "work", in europe i have seen people log in at exact office in time and log out at exact office out time nothing more nothin less. So what you can do to fix these? try to send email to your manager with your daily updates, Me and my 1 friend do this. So that no superior can scold you that you have to work more or you haven't done your job. Also time doesn't matter, if you can finish a task in 1 hour then that is a very good thing, not a bad thing. Hope i didn't offended anyone.

I personally experience this, i had to work 9 to 6 working hours from mon to Sat with 20 k salary In India and when i left my job they even gave my experience letter and they gave me reason that i was not handover my work to other colleagues but the reality is i handover my whole work with three colleagues. Hi I want to add something, I had indian managers before and now i have american manager, difference is in india people give priority to their work a lot, what i mean is, in usa my other teammates go to their kids soccer match after work or have dinner after work or something, but here in india whenever someone says "try to finish the work before today eod, you can do it in home too :)" no dum dum, i cannot, managers in india should give priority to work hours not "work", in europe i have seen people log in at exact office in time and log out at exact office out time nothing more nothin less. So what you can do to fix these? try to send email to your manager with your daily updates, Me and my 1 friend do this. So that no superior can scold you that you have to work more or you haven't done your job. Also time doesn't matter, if you can finish a task in 1 hour then that is a very good thing, not a bad thing. Hope i didn't offended anyone.
