I am very proud to "know" this man. He is unique and actually talented. I wouldnt want him to change at all. I enjoy him and have developed Brotherly feelings for him. I got involved in SW radio at age 15 when my mom took me to a yard sale and I saw this big, heavy Halicrafters and I asked what it was and she explained it. It is simply fascinating to listen all over the world.

Allow me to paint a picture. 3 buddies are laughing and joking, then jackass #4 comes in half way through the conversation and starts tearing down what people say, leaving the rest of the group in awe, wondering where that happiness had gone, it was there just a second ago....but not anymore. The jackass stands there, feeling personally accomplished, thinking he made an impact in this situation, voiced his mind, which he though was very very clever, and that's all that matters. Those other people HATE that guy...they always will, those types of people are disgusting, They can't take a joke, they can't let others enjoy themselves, they can't be happy for someone, they can't contribute to society in a helpful manner....they are just the embarrassments.

I know this video is old but it made me pin point a feeling I had throughout all your vids: You and your vids aesthetics give off such a David Lynch vibe. I esp have to think of "Blue Velvet" and "Twin Peaks" when watching you.
There is a certain absurdity to many of your vids that underline that. For example "An Apolody to all", the purified water review, the shoe lecture and "Long John Silver's Drive-through, A Random Video". Not only that but also your manners, body language, way of speaking and your fantastic unique style contribute to said vibe.
Besides that I think your channel is performance art, I think you should be in one of Lynch's next films.

This is really a fascinating look so early in your career about how you discovered how much of an effect on your channel and your mental health you have as a creator when UA-cam's algorithm really pushes you to "stay in your lane" or else. You can apologize without beating yourself up. That said, you did bounce back really quickly, and you seem reinvigorated in your next video, so that's cool!

+FrostuR I understand your question, and I definitely wondered the same thing when my friend showed me this channel. But I watched enough videos to get to know him, and I came to believe that he's truly funny and genuine; and combined with the fact that he's such a unique person (his way of speaking, his interests, his humor, etc), I was really charmed. It's not for everybody I guess, but if you put in the time then you might find you like his videos too.

I've been watching the food reviews for a year now, but damn . . . I just today discovered his VORW show. As a long-time short-wave listener I'll now go back and listen to them all, and I can compare my experiences to his.

I used to really like listening to short wave radio years ago, when I was 14 I was given an old valve (tube) radio. it was so much fun tuning around at night.
