Thank you for the comparison. Nitecore flooded the UA-cam channels with that one & I was skeptical of the high lumens & figured it would step down quickly. I'd probably go with the Sofrin.
Hello sir. Nitecore EDC35 is designed for self defense. That's why Lumin Shield mode can't last long. UHi 40 max Led is really hot. However I like EDC35 's ui . I have received both EDC's. It seems the edc35 is better with the spot light throw feature. High mode is ok but not as great for extended flood, super turbo mode is not practical to keep the finger on the button and it also gets hot very fast. SC33 is better for flood and turbo is available without needing to keep the button pressed but not as good for search throw distance. I got the SC33 in 5000K which is more pleasant for general use as long as you don't need the spot search throw distance of the EDC35. I find the build quality of the EDC35 better but SC33 is not too bad either. Finally, the SC33 is better value for money at less than half the price of the EDC35. Having these two, I don't think I need to consider the Fenix pd36r pro any more. What do you guys reckon? :)
Hello sir. I can't agree more sir. SC33 is very cheap but very good. EDC35 is good for self defense & fast charge. Yes, you don't need to buy that Fenix sir. For me, a headlamp like Sofirn HS40 Wurkkos hd15 4000k, Sofirn C8L for throw, and Wurkkos ts22 for floodlight are enough for outdoor sir. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience sir. Sofirn sc33 is an unsuccessful version, there are a lot of defects. People give the lanterns back to the seller and get their money back. The tail button lags there and the flashlight cannot turn off or turn on, it lives its own life. I do not remember exactly. This is a very little known problem. But I know about her. EDC 35 is also more compact than sc33. So either overpay for nitecore, or don’t buy anything, because you may end up with a broken sc33. I liked the video! Great comparison!
Sorry, my Sofirn SC33 works without Problems, maybe it is a newer batch. But also in our German Flashlightforum I can't read about Problems. Only the automatic lock-out is what a lot of owners don't like.
I have experienced the SC33 e-switch lag where it stays on, I sent a video on Sofirn and they just said they'll replace it with a new one. Their customer service is great no other questions asked, they just said they'll send a new one. It's very little known problem because it doesn't happen often, I happen to have been one of those but they make up for it with their awesome customer service.
I’ve had 5 nitecore lights, beat the hell out of them, Ive used the Edc33 every night for last year and half, charged it twice and dropped it hundreds of times, still outshines all my other lights, damn good lights.

Hello sir. It's very hard to answer. Best headlamp for me is Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max. It's really tough. For edc, I like 21700, xhp70.3 or .3 . I like floody beam. Maybe Klaus xt21x pro, Wurkkos ts22, Armytek prime C2 Pro Max. For tactical flashlight, I want 21700 sft70 of sft40, dual tailcap switches, strobe+turbo ready. But I have Acebeam p17, Fenix TK16 V2, NEXTORCH TA30C max. They are fine. I also often use Convoy m21b sft40 for self defense too. Nothing is perfect sir but they can satisfy my needs well. Eu não devolvi pois o preço que eu tinha comprado tava na promoção e pra comprar dinovo era 50 reais mais caro, fora que não tinha mais a lanterna na cor de emissão de 5000k que é mais amarelada no estoque do Brasil, então decidi ficar com a lanterna. Mais é sacanagem uma loja fazer isso com o cliente, eu mesmo não compro mais nada nessa loja. Eu falei que o justo seria eles manda uma cauda da lanterna nova, somente a cauda da lanterna pois a cabeça de onde sai a luz da lanterna estava bom, eles só falava que ia entrar em contato com o engenheiro pra me mandar um vídeo de como resolver. Observação: A lanterna veio com defeito mesmo, assim que chegou só fui testar o botão saltou pra fora, parece que quebrou a trava que segura esse botão, quebrou ou veio com defeito. Mandei vídeo pra eles e eles só falou que ia entrar em contato com o engenheiro, coloquei fita isolante pra conseguir usar a lanterna e não perder o botão. Não vi nada relacionado a essa lanterna ter soltado esse botão traseiro aqui no UA-cam, acho que aconteceu só comigo mesmo, já vi relatos que essa lanterna SC33 as vezes da uns bug e a lanterna trava e só tirando a bateria pra ela voltar ao normal e realmente isso acontece mesmo, mais é muito difícil. Eu acho essa lanterna SC33 muito bonita e tem um luz muito forte, pena que a minha veio com defeito. Entrei em contato também com a loja sofirn oficial mesmo não tendo comprado a lanterna com eles, a pessoa que me respondeu apenas falou que dava pra consertar e recolocar o botão, geralmente uma empresa boa e seria, tendo um vídeo de uma situação que o produto deles está com defeito, manda até outro produto para o cliente sem custo algum, podia ter mandado apenas a cauda da lanterna que já tava muito bom.
Just bought the edc35 (only 6500k) and the sc33 (5000k version). Thanks for your video! Is your sc33 5000k or 6500k? EDIT: Having used these 2 for a few days. I like the EDC35 for the spotlight / search mode which throws very far when needed. It also gets hot quite fast but you only wanna confirm a far sight for a short time. The lumin shield / flood mode gets even hotter and I can't think of myself using it often as it actually makes the spotlight view feel a bit dimmer. SC33 5000k is more of a general flooder with bit of a flooder spotlight but the turbo also get hots pretty fast. I think it's a good general torch. I've ordered the TS22 (70.2 5000k) as I like the very even flood as shown in reviews, hoping it can take over the SC33 as a good edc flooder.
What this video fails to show, is price difference. Just busting. But yea, I would say the edc35 is defiantly better. But it is also significantly more expensive. I personally love the "cheap good lights" Like Sofirn, Wurkkos, and Convoy. I never buy the name brands.
my nitecore edc35 will blink on and off repeatedly while at the step 4 high mode (not on the half press long or full press luminshield), just in the high step 4 continuous on level… didn’t happen when first purchased.

Edit: the automatic lock-out can be disabled with 4 clic, then you don't have to worry about it anymore

It also gets hot quite fast but you only wanna confirm a far sight for a short time. The lumin shield / flood mode gets even hotter and I can't think of myself using it often as it actually makes the spotlight view feel a bit dimmer. SC33 5000k is more of a general flooder with bit of a flooder spotlight but the turbo also get hots pretty fast. I think it's a good general torch. I've ordered the TS22 (70.2 5000k) as I like the very even flood as shown in reviews, hoping it can take over the SC33 as a good edc flooder.

What this video fails to show, is price difference. Just busting. But yea, I would say the edc35 is defiantly better. But it is also significantly more expensive. I personally love the "cheap good lights" Like Sofirn, Wurkkos, and Convoy. I never buy the name brands.

What problem are U having with edc35?
my nitecore edc35 will blink on and off repeatedly while at the step 4 high mode (not on the half press long or full press luminshield), just in the high step 4 continuous on level… didn’t happen when first purchased.
