Avatar Kaen, Master Kenji and Princess Iara have escaped from the water nation soldiers. In the cave they took shelter in, the Avatar tries to communicate with the spirits of the old avatars, but the answer he receives requires him to chart his own path. He is not alone on this path, but the path is much more difficult than they expected.
