I think jones has 2 fights in him. I believe after fighting tom in which I believe he wins he goes down to 205 to fight pereira for the light heavyweight belt and holds both belts at the same time and retires. If he loses to tom NO WAY he retires. If he beats tom but loses to pereira NO WAY he retires. But I don't see him losing to pereira. Thats the worst match up for pereira. Whether Jon fights after Tom is down to the Pereira result. There is absolutely no fighter at HW that garners interest but there can alway be Jones Pereira especially if both win their next bout. There has never been a two divisional champ vs two divisional champ, both top 3 p4p, same age, Pereira fighting to be first 3 division champion, Jones fighting for most title defences at two different divisions, current goat vs future goat. Honestly I feel like Jones can retire if Tom beats him, which I think is highly unlikely. However, if Jones wins, i think he has to fight Francis... A win against Francis and there will never be a debate on who the goat is.
Francis did have some content that may be him drumming up a fight such as " I am the best heavy weight MMA fighter in the world " and said to Jon something about there is one fight that will give you blessings and help you achieve your goals. There is no one...IN THE UFC drumming up a fight with Jon , however , Alex and Jon could end up fighting each other late this year as both of their last fights depending on how Alex has done with his coming opposition. Could, maybe.. blah blah blah.. main thig is Jon is close to done and has one more in him and beyond that we don't know.
My guess is… Aspinall will beat Jon, he will feel relieved that it finally (officially) happened and he can let go of his ego. Then Jon will probably take more interesting fights (advantaged for him).
If Jones beats Tom, and I hope he does, there's also Francis. I don't think that fight would happen, but I'd love to see it happen over the Jones vs Tom fight.
@ I'm not sure he can lose badly, barring a terrible injury or death. If he were to lose and make $30 million, I'm not sure how that’d be a true loss. I do agree that he can lose, it’s always possible.
Even Jones went through it. When his toe was brutally ripped off and his opponent purposefully let him win so he could keep his foot intact. Different kind of shame, Jones never recovered.
this is the one take i probably don’t support i think jon just wants the most money possible if he fights tom and looses he’d wanna rematch or if he wins he’s repeatedly said he wants the alex fight
Crazy for you to come to this conclusion but not mention that if jones beats tom there’s no reason for him to stop fighting. There is only one competitive fight for john and that’s Tom. If he wipes Tom then he would obviously keep fighting
At this point in Jon's career which has been great, Although Reyes did beat him if we're honest. Jon is more known for being injured, putting off fights and taking years to actually fulfill a contract. I think Tom is too young and too quick in this point of Jon Jones's career.
Jon has only a few names that could get him back in the octagon an that's aspinal, Francis or Alex. Something tells me this will be his final year of combat
Well, who knows... Is it just Tom? When Jon Jones defeats Tom, I bet there will be other fans popping up talking about who the real deal really was... Wven suggesting that Jon Jones wanted to face Tom all along and played opposing psychology to make ppl support him getting the ""easier"" fight. Or theories that Tom was a replacement the UFC found for Ngannou, the one ""they knew"" Jon Jones couldn't beat... Or Alex Poatan, keeping his winning streak, being the real final boss and Tom was overhyped. Fans that want to see Jon Jones losing will hop onto any hope of another fight... Rebuilding narratives, finding ""obvious flaws"" in the perfect fighter they could not even think about. I think JJ realizes that too. Like, unless he beats Tom, and then Poatan (if Poatan is still smashing every opponent) and then Ngannou, he'd then be the "true king". Idk, no one knows the logic JJ operates, he's by far the most mysterious fighter. He even said once in the 3 years hiatus in a podcast he never wanted to be a commentator because, maybe subconsciously, he would be giving people too much of his insight - explaining how he sees positions, not things he'd like to do when he's competing... He finished saying he wants ppl to think it's just his long arms that make him win. Interestingly, Tom does a lot of comments on fights analysis, trying to put himsrlf in other fighters' shoulders to think what he'd do instead, etc... I think Jon Jones hasn't made a single fight analysis, like, explained in a more in depth way why such fight went such and such... Ofc his fighting style can be made sense of by other fighters, Tom obviously knows a lot of specific things about Jon Jones from watching him in almost all his matches... Tom has had 2% the octagon time JJ had so he's tougher to figure out... But we don't know, maybe JJ can figure out his style by watching what Tom says, how Tom anakysis fights, which is available for free. Tom was analysing what JJ would do vs Stipe... Apparently, according to Tom, it went exactly as he is expected. But what if Jon Jones had watched Tom's pre fight analysis of Miocic vs JJ and Jones decided to follow that style Tom thought he'd feal with Stipe...? Which is by no means a hard thing as Tom's analysis are all part of Jon Jones' game plan, way if fighting... But also, it's not... There are specific things a fighter may be holding for someone specially, following the expcted game plan and holding back a not different style ofc, but a refined one that is meant to cover a lot of weakness (or openings) Tom said he saw in Jon Jones vs Stipe... Jon Jones may have been fully aware of this openings. Maybe he let them to be perceived more naturally vs Stipe, while vs Tom, Tom may have a surprise of a different version of Jon Jones... That catches him off guard with a solid attack amidst a "once" weakness. Jon Jones vs OSP for example, JJ didn't look so quick, so comfortable. Vs Stipe, he looked better orc, but still it's hard to even see that performance alone as more impressive than Poatan's 2 last one, and I mean, really... But JJ was simply better vs DC II than vs OSP... Not in the game plan so much, but the timing, the focus, the toughness, the athleticism, the strength... Which would, more likely, be the same with Tom - JJ with the same way of JJ fight, but evolved in explosiveness, strength, conditioning, focus... And also knowing what the opponent thinks of one of his weaknesses and what the opponents - Tom - is most likely to do, the KO with a well connected punch expliting those opening, which ironically may give JJ an opening to finish the fight in the first round... Dunno, but possibilities. JJ had also said when in Saudi Arabia before the Ngannou vs Joshua fight that he believes he'll beat "Stipe, Tom Aspinall and Ngannou"... Alluding to already planning on beating all of them. Maybe with Ngannou is not possible anymore after Aspinall, but idk, Alex Poatan may be the final boss that Jon Jones may decide to heat after Tom... Itd be for sure a name, that if it's in the rising and potentially as a 3 belts candidate, that JJ would want. Poatan tho, I think there is something different in him. Almost like if like JJ, he'd make things that should not be possible, almost defying logic, mma logic... So to me, if Jon Jones is going to lose, IF, a big IF, I've a feeling it'd be to Poatan. I don't know, i just feel it in a way.
if he beats tom, and he decides to fight alex and wins, then hewill fight once more, anyone, because it will give him 4 HW title defences, which puts him as the MMA goat, LH and HW goat.
Chael, Audio on this video is kind of jacked up. Sounds like too much compression with a low input signal, which brings up the level of audio distortion.
How I see it playing out: Izzy comes back and moves up to fight Pereira. (Izzy is on a two fight skid yes, but he is the last to beat Alex, they are 1-1 against each other in the UFC let them fight a 3rd time to end it) Jon successfully defends against Tom. Pereira moves up to fight Jon for the Heavyweight belt. Win or lose against Pereira, Jones retires. Even if Izzy doesn’t come back to fight Alex, win or lose Alex moves up after his next fight. He wins he is fighting for the belt, if he loses his next fight he moves up and fights the number one contender and then fights for the belt if he wins. If Jon loses to Tom i see him retiring.
a contender for both divisions division 1 : jon jones, tom aspinall, francis, pereira for heavyweight division 2 : ddp, sean strickland, Izzy, khazmat for middleweight
Jon should fight Alex, and then maybe Tom. Handle the GOAT stuff, and maybe handle Aspinall on the way to retirement, if he wants. Tom means literally nothing to his legacy, while Alex represents its only competition.
Jon is indeed really good. Theres no one like him. But Toms size and skill set is a brick wall for him. Jon cant ko a fly and he will not be able to hold tom down when he couldn't even hold reyes. He knows this.

@claydemaggard7162
Lol. Overrated. Okay 🤷♂️
After the Jones we saw in with geriatric, retired Stipe… you actually believe what you commented?
I don't think the Jones-Aspinall fight will happen, unfortunately. Just my guess
If Jones beats Tom, and I hope he does, there's also Francis. I don't think that fight would happen, but I'd love to see it happen over the Jones vs Tom fight.
No chance. Jones is losing badly this year.
@ I'm not sure he can lose badly, barring a terrible injury or death. If he were to lose and make $30 million, I'm not sure how that’d be a true loss. I do agree that he can lose, it’s always possible.
Leg flips aplenty

U related to ken shamrock ☘️?
If Jon beats Tom, there is a possibility he takes one more money fight against Poatan.
Some of us want that Jons Vs Alex fight. Why is Chael so sure it won't happen.
Because it's to much of a mismatch. Jones would take him down and that will be that. It's not even competitive.
Even Jones went through it. When his toe was brutally ripped off and his opponent purposefully let him win so he could keep his foot intact. Different kind of shame, Jones never recovered.
Lookin good, lil buddy!
If he beats Tom it’s Alex in a super fight if Alex is not beaten before then
Alex is to small for heavy weight
So what your saying is, you think Jon is going to beat Tom?
I will be amazed if Jones fights Tom
Reminder than Jones dodged Chael Sonnen at the advice of his coach. 😂
this is the one take i probably don’t support i think jon just wants the most money possible if he fights tom and looses he’d wanna rematch or if he wins he’s repeatedly said he wants the alex fight
If he fights Tom. I think he will fight Alex next.
Definitely Maybe - Oasis
I'll one and done you, Mr Chael Sonnen
Daniel Cormier put Ryan Bader in his place.
Jones vs. Perreira at catchweight in the summer
Jones vs. Aspinal at heavyweight for Christmas
Jones guaranteed rematches?
If Jones loses his fight, he fights two times this year. I think Chael is otherwise, as 50% of the time he picks who will win a fight, right!
If Tom wins a decision is the only way i see Jon fighting again he would definitely get on the juice again for a rematch if that happened
If he starches Aspinall decisively, he could still get the Pereira fight assuming Pereira gets through Ankalaev.
I think if Jon wins and Alex wins vs this great wrestler that would be his next and last fight so I see two fights in 2025 and off into the sunset
if he beats tom, and he decides to fight alex and wins, then hewill fight once more, anyone, because it will give him 4 HW title defences, which puts him as the MMA goat, LH and HW goat.
Chael,
Audio on this video is kind of jacked up. Sounds like too much compression with a low input signal, which brings up the level of audio distortion.
How I see it playing out:
Izzy comes back and moves up to fight Pereira. (Izzy is on a two fight skid yes, but he is the last to beat Alex, they are 1-1 against each other in the UFC let them fight a 3rd time to end it)
Jon successfully defends against Tom.
If Jon loses to Tom i see him retiring.
a contender for both divisions
division 1 : jon jones, tom aspinall, francis, pereira for heavyweight
division 2 : ddp, sean strickland, Izzy, khazmat for middleweight
If Tom touches him the way that stipe did then Jon will sleep. Undeniable
Jon should fight Alex, and then maybe Tom. Handle the GOAT stuff, and maybe handle Aspinall on the way to retirement, if he wants. Tom means literally nothing to his legacy, while Alex represents its only competition.
It’s not fight Tom or don’t fight . It’s give up belt tho
I'm tired of yall ignoring the fact Turkey wants Jon vs Francis, that's a bigger and more sought-after fight than Tom will ever be.
I guess we forgot about Alex
Jones will have 2 fights. He fights Tom. If Bones wins, he then fights Pereira and then retires. If he loses vs. Tom, they have a rematch.
Jon is indeed really good. Theres no one like him. But Toms size and skill set is a brick wall for him. Jon cant ko a fly and he will not be able to hold tom down when he couldn't even hold reyes. He knows this.
Tom is very good but Jon Jones is exceptional. Not one time have I ever bet against Jon Jones and I'm not starting now.
Alex Perreria?
He called usyk the tough dude with the weird voice the Ukrainian lmao
The Man, The Myth, The Legend
Jon Jones
GOAT!
The Rock is my man crush but I’m slowly starting to drift to Jon.
Jones vs Curtis blades
I can see them going enough money item to where he fights Francis and gonna
Tom's gonna smoke him
