This video aged really well.... In the end Umar took the fight without recovering .. and as we all know he broke his hand again and still completed 5 rounds.. which was really good with a broken hand.. I remember the fight between Khamzat and Usman in which Khamzat broke his hand in first round.. the main reason that fight became slow!!.. same happened with Umar at start he was doing really good but the Future champ gased out due to pain... however Merab has another level of cardio.. Congratulations
Yeah I think Merab knew he had an arm injury. He looked really good in 1st & 2nd round. But his manager shouldn’t have rushed and accepted the fight. Hopefully he’ll get a rematch by end of year.

UFC seemed to have done a similar strategy with Aljo going into the Omalley fight, which he lost . It goes with the saying, don't cross the boss. That whole narrative of the UFC not wanting Aljo as champion was floating around his head long before that Omalley fight. Merab seemed to inherited it on himself
