This is definitely one of the first lessons we should be taught in schools ! When you travel abroad, this is one of the basics things you have to know ! Thanks teacher for this very important vocabulary. This lesson has lots of new words for me so I'm gonna listen to it several times to make sure I'll never forget it.
Hey English language learners, defibrillators are also referred to as AEDs. This stands for automatic external defibrillator. When you have one in an emergency the AED will give step by step audio instructions on how to use it, so it can be used by laypeople (people without medical training). In a public place, you will see them labeled AED, often with a symbol of a heart and a lightning bolt.
Thank you again, Adam! That class was exceptional, I'm studying to become a flight attendant and I had classes about first AID, but it was in my language which is portuguese, and now, when I watched your class everything became so clear inside my mind. You're the best. Keep doing this! You've been helping a lot of people around the world, including me. Hugs from Brazil 😘💕
I just had a lesson that was Safety of Working Environment and introduced the purpose of using a defibrillator for a little bit. The trainer said that most people make a misconception of the defibrillator, it is for stopping the irregular heart pumping instead of bringing the heart pump back. A wounded person whose heart is pumping unusually should be stopped still and treat him CPR to bring his heart pumping back.
I've been watching a lot of your videos nowadays and i can't complain. I'm a teacher and i enjoy watching videos from teachers that know what they're doing.
Every time I look for vocabulary related with certain topics in English, I end up coming over one of your videos. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in teaching us something new all the time.
Hi Adam, I am a student from Germany (Berlin), but on weekends I am teaching first aid lessons. Sometimes I have students who cant speak german so its very helpfull to know the words in english too. Thanks a lot for your time and your lessons. You are a good teacher! :)
Thank you Adam. Well done! Very easy to understand and you actually encouraged me to take the 1st aid class to save someone's or my life one day:) Good call.
Hello teacher Adam. I am always fun study your lessons, that was easy listening and understanding. I am a Thai nurse. This is helping me very much to said like a native about First aid vocabulary. Thank you so much for all of your lessons.
I love your classes! You've been helping me since my student years (to be an English teacher), and now I'm watching this video before a First Aid class. 💪🏻 I guess that makes me a fan! 😂
Thank you so much Mr Adam. I am a Medical student. Could you please make more video, especially the Medical English. Once again, thank you very much and wish you a lot of joy and happiness in your life !!!
Hi , it's first time I watch your video, your teaching is really great and useful. Although I am a beginner in English I understand your lessons. Your talk is very clear. thanks so much
all of them right. I have attended St.John ambulance first-aid course and have the certificate.,Does not mean I am a doctor but can save a life as I am calm and patient, one can handle a person especially if in a shock good introduction though
Wow Adam, so wonderful lesson! I became a subscriber on your channel. Tomorrow I have a class about injuries and your lesson help me a lot to be prepared. Thanks from Brazil.
Hello ,i'm a med student but i study medecine in french ,so hope you make more videos about medical terms (like i can understand most of them in English but idk how to pronounce) . Thank you🎉
Great lesson as always, but I want to draw your attention to one thing: Using a defibrillator is a common cliche of TV shows. Actually defibrillator only used in a situation of fibrilation, it's a very specific condition when different heart's parts beat unsynchronously and it's quite rare. Defibrillator is never used when heart stops, NEVER.
you did a good job and I would be glad if you would explain (should think and would think) I found it in practice english grammar but I didn't understand it fully.
Hi Adam, great video, thanks a lot. Just one small remark: instead of the word "demobilize" (1:54) that you used several times I think "immobilize" should be used here. We are talking about prevention / restriction of movements of (a limb), right? not about taking soldiers out of active service? :)
