I see that the locomotive is painted for the southern railway. Which one, England or USA? Both painted their cars and locomotives the same shade of green.
@cubeproduktion It's not a British locomotive, actually, it's an American locomotive shipped to the UK for narrow-gauge work. I don't know if it exists anymore though.
Echoes Ay Th' Glen it was scrapped in the 30's sadly, however yesterday the new build engine of the class had its first steam so should be completed by early spring next year.
@cubeproduktion The Flying Scotsman did have a cowcatcher on its American tour and Toby had a cowcatcher on the Thomas show, they even refer to it in one of the episodes. But with this model, yeah, I wouldn't see any railroad in the US running a British loco.
iv got this lovely Engine and its a lovely runner best thing is i found it on eBay it was in its original box and was put on the wrong Auction (toys) nobody else bid i got it next to nothing so there is bargains to find best buy iv ever had ,
@crazyracer12 Sadly, the Original Lyn was scrapped in the 1930s. However, a new engine to a similar design with modern features is being built for service on the rebuilt Lynton and Barnstaple Railway. - Further infomation on the new build here - 762club.com I do plan on getting on of these although fitting it with batteries to run on my railway could be interesting to say the least.
Thanks for doing this review. I was hoping you were going to do this!
very nice!
Well, considering, it's a narrow gauge locomotive (2ft to be precise) and it's british prototype, it should be 16 mm to a foot scale (about 1:19).

I do not know. Maybe it could work for either?
I believe that this particular engine is 1:22.5 scale.

I think the standard american G scale is 1:29. I could be wrong though
go the unnumbered version - not run it yet - but a real good buy me thinks
Do you still like it?

No it isn't actually. This engine is narrow gauge, whiff is standard gauge, and this engine looks nothing like him.
