- Here I prepare a long awaited afternoon tea setting for an occasion that has been well missed. Sharing special moments with those closest to you. I Show you how I make tea sandwiches and set the table, to have anyone smiling with delight.
It just takes a little thoughtfulness and creativity and you can feel like you're dining somewhere special.

Pepperidge farm still makes that very thin bread. I like that for tea sandwiches. My mom used to make these By the dozens, first for her friends’ baby showers and later for those babies bridal showers. In those days, showers were held at home, not in restaurants. They were works of love.

Hello please buy yourself a breadknife you would get cleaner cuts when you remove the crusts and make them into finger sandwiches. The sandwiches go on the bottom warm scones go on the middle and any sweet treats and pastries go on the top of your three tier stand to even start to make an English afternoon tea properly thank you
Thankyou for the advice. I do agree a bread knife would have been so much easier! Scones are a great traditional way to eat afternoon tea of course but I wanted to have a few other options this time. I’m going to be making some traditional scones shortly for another afternoon tea this sunny weekend. Take care!

Nikita, what type of bread are you using, please? May I substitute a wheat or multi grain bread?
Hey cheyenne, im using a thick white sandwhich bread. Next time I do finger sandwhiches ill use a thinner bread that would make it a-lot easier to cut and they will look more petite. Wheat and multigrain are perfect and will add more colour to your serving :)

Looks nice but too much mayonaisse and butter on the sandwiches. I prefer sandwiches without all that mayonaisse and butter because I like to eat healthy.
