Honestly the name "Azzinoth" has been squandered and the potential wasted. It could have been something so much more than just a Doomguard Commander's name. My headcanon is that Azzinoth is the last name of the Doomguard, for more potential badassery as a location.
Didn't play WoW for 3 years, come back week 1 I get left glaive. Week 2, I get right glaive, then I go to Molten core and get the eye of Ragnaros. I've used up a lifetime of luck in 2 weeks.

So to have illidan with High-res warglaives , they gave him mage tower warglaives, just like that. I mean, the mage tower warglaives have completely different design, why would you think they are meant to be warglaives of azzinoth? They are not.
@@Frozenkex like i said, i doubt illidan would settle for lesser weapons and there is no mention anywhere (afaik) that illidan lost/replaced the glaives so he was still using them when jailing sargeras and the glaives he's wearing in the end cinematics are the green variant magetower glaives which means that the magetower havoc appearence is supposed to be a visual upgrade of the blades of azzinoth, and i'm going to stand by this except if you can tell me the lore how illidan lost his glaives or name a source where i can read it myself i agree that blizz either fucked up the design or the story telling but that's nothing new

I went here back in mists to get the blindfold for my monk. I managed to get both of them before seeing the blindfold drop. Some may call it lucky I call it annoying.
The drop chance is actually higher than most would believe. 5% chance each kill. Higher than most legendary drops and most drops that have usually have .1% - 1% chance.
gotta love that they made legendaries transmogable, except for the warglaives that are still DH only like the weapons aren't historically a rogue weapon in game

At least they look cool. Being cool is done over being practical in WOW. That is just fine. Maybe there can be videos of other special weapons, like Arthas's sword.
well the whole version of the book is that after illidan was hit by arthas he went on metamorphosis mode and with one spell he sent arthas on his knees. Afterwards he went to finish the job but then frostmourne gave power to arthas/nerzhul did it/ arthas woke up it is a mystery really and he managed to hit the descending illidan. So i wouldnt say that frostmourne could defeat someone like illidan on a fair fight but yeah it is more powerful that the twin blades on azinoth. Its a pitty because in lore illidan doesnt depend so much of them, he is more of a mage rather than a demonhunter.

A fierce warrior race that was offered to lead all of Sargeras armies if they would submit to him. Instead they fought down to the very last person, even to the point that Sargeras itself (or one of his avatars) came down to face the king of the Aldrachi, Toranaar in single combat. The Aldrachi people wielded powerful weapons that could capture and store souls within them. King Toranaar fought his own brother and killed him in order to become a warrior of the clan and to earn his glaives. It is said that King Toranaar fought Sargeras for days straight, and was slowly being whittled down. Realizing this, Toranaar made a last ditch effort and feigned allegiance, and then struck and wounded Sargeras and caused him to bleed, which so angered him he killed every being on the planet and "ordered the Legion to bathe their homeworld in fel fire for all time". Sargeras lost the secret to make the Glaives, but took them from the fallen Aldrachi people and distributed them to his most trusted commanders. When Illidan fought and killed Azzinith 10,000 years ago, it is believed that Azzinoth had the glaives given to him from Sargaras that were taken from the Aldrachi people.

what do you mean they are prefect hunter weapons. I'm 100% sure they put the class requirements on them to stop hunters using the weapons after all the drama that happened when hunters started to get thunderfury.
I’ve seen the glaives drop 4 times since June 2 2016 I just wish the viable classes could transmog them and hopefully other allied race elves can become demon hunters and hopefully we can get new legendary weapons at some point
Well Nobbel you should maybe try and do the warglaives run on a demon hunter since today I did the run and get both warglaives of azzinoth to drop at the same time.
What happened to the blades in WoW? In Legion I'm pretty sure Illidan had them at the end of The Nighthold but after that he used the Havoc DH Mage tower mog.
I think they legit are just taken away from him when he "dies" in BT so he needed new ones in legion. but realistically they wanted to show off the glaive model as the mage tower went lve

Shadowmourne > warglaives anyways. But incredibly annoying that I can't get them still. Funny enough, when burning crusade time walking is out. I don't need to worry about it cause I can just use them

I would not be surprised if in the future Blizzard comes up with some super convoluted explanation for the Demons and how they got their weapons from some other super race and that the Warglaves are just some silly little toothpickers. Yeah, I am really negative on this subject, but that is just how I feel about this whole thing nowadays.

The story of warglaives is that they have a 4% drop rate each and you run BT 100 times and don't get either

He got sick of using level 70 weapons and wasn't allowed to transmogrify to them, he probably is back to using them now, like every other DH that can.
