YES! Was looking forward to this one. Never beat FF5 as a kid. Cant remember where I got stuck. But I should definitely go back to it one of these days.
Was surprised to see some FF content when I came over to check out some pokemon runs, let alone my fav one! Ik this one isn't as popular as other FF entries but I just love the optimization aspects of it, especially on GBA. Came to appreciate the story more replaying it later too. Very much a core game to my childhood even when it was before my time. I'd love to see you tackle more stuff in this game, as a kid I had fun doing stuff like soloing all the omegas in the omega mk. II room so it's very cool to see other people push this game to its limit. Active mode + highest ATB speed and this game becomes one of the most difficult turn based RPGs. Side note: I knew of the Objet d'art ABP grinder but I had no idea you could KO them with level 5 death, I always used the gold needles they dropped or just KOed them lmao that could have saved me hours
AAA! Thank you!!! Yeah, Level 5 death is pretty nice for getting a ton of ABP in Galuf's basement super safely. I used it a bit early on to get a ton of these jobs up! Later on I switched to the last level of the Interdimensional Rift since there are a ton of 20+ ABP encounters that I could beat with ease, but this is where I got a bunch of mage levels.
For me, I just used Two-Handed and grinded a little bit so he could be taken down quickly before using his best attacks. You can also try using the Thunder spell - he should be weak to it, plus he only has a few hundred HP total.
Not really theirs at least 2 SOLO Galuf only fights in game and Atmos the barrier tower boss starts with Comet and on a SOLO run its Comet spell before you get even 1 turn may end up killing a solo party member instantly though if it doesn't then you can use Gil toss on the disc 2 barrier tower boss until it dies. Also the Forking Tower to be able to access the sub is I believe optional you can't fight Gogo for the Mime job in world 3 without it and the forking tower is a 2 party dungeon so you can't really SOLO it either.
Yes, the run basically "ends" at 7:26 once you go to Galuf's world. You can do the entirety of Bartz's world with only Bartz easily, but then after that it's not possible because the story doesn't let you. That said, besides the very first Exdeath fight where you are in a party of only Galuf, it is 100% possible to beat every single boss in Final Fantasy V with Bartz being the only conscious party member in that fight. I ended up doing the Fork Tower by just resetting after Bartz defeated one boss and having him climb the other tower. Also, Atomos is weak to sleep, so in a theoretical situation where only Bartz was in the party, you can avoid Comet with some RNG.
(Note that Gilgamesh 1 can be rechallenged from the Bestiary as of the latest Pixel Remaster update - only the fight between Galuf and Exdeath is impossible to do with just Bartz)
Awesome job. Loving these challenges.
AAA thank you!!!!

Aaaa thank you! When I first played this game, I got stuck at the second Exdeath fight (in Galuf's world). This game was super hard for me as a kid.
That was an awesome run, this looks like it was a whole lot of fun to do.
It was, thank you!!!
@@SnowyTotodilewow it is a tragedy that this only got a few hundred views.
@@polarisguild AAAAA thank you. Gosh, yes, and this one took so long to make, but as long as it got some views, that's fine by me!
@@SnowyTotodile well it’s not to late. Maybe it will get the views it deserves later.
As we finish watching this video, let us pause, for a moment of silence, to reflect on, and to think about the loss of Shiva.
F
Shiva is just gone now... permanently. Such an odd choice to make her 100% missable.
@@SnowyTotodile She had so much to live for. 😢

Dang this guy opppp
You… you can kill Gogo like that?
I also tried this challenge but Karl is just keeping paralyzing me to remove all my hp and this is the most annoying thing I ever saw. Any tips ?

You also can't access the Trench and Istory Falls without a submarine, either.

Atmos won't use comet if you have a dead party member. It will just start sucking in a corpse
