Omari was a special case, in fact i felt that something was off the day we bought him, because what player agrees to be bought from the 1st team and be put into the u21's of not just another club a rival club. he played u21 football for like 6 months before going to Ipswitch on loan then getting sold, i have a feeling that this was the agreement from the get go, cos Chelsea didnt even try to stop him from leaving, we didn't even try force Ipswich to pay more, instead we sold him and placed like a 50% sell on clause on him.
My hunch says that Omari was used as the very first experiment of what this ownership is about. If you want out they don't force you to stay , but if you're talented they place a sell on clause on you.
He did well out of his time at Chelsea and the club sold him for a good price. Where do you think he'd have fitted in the existing team?
As a chelsea fan what i notice is that they sign young players and use their youth academy players and once those players grow and get more noticed they sell them or loan them and they kee the ones that really do well...well at least i hope so they better not sell colwill or james

I don't think Lampard's first reign was abysmal. It was mixed. The first season was great. Integrating lots of youth into the team, under a transfer ban. The second not so great. Not abysmal though...

@@ONYXUNIDENTIFIED They're doing both. The increased scouting especially in South America, seems to be for generational-level talents like Pais and Estevao.

@@ONYXUNIDENTIFIED I understand what you’re saying but I think the belief that only Academy players should make it to the senior team is an out-of-date idea. The Academy is one way of developing talent and scouting is another. As a club, Chelsea works to improve players at all levels and lets them compete with their peers. If a player develops but doesn’t make it into the Chelsea squad, like Omari Hutchinson, they are still improved by their time with Chelsea and the club profits by selling a very good player to some other club, Ipswich in Hutchinson’s case. Both Chelsea and the player benefit while the club puts itself in a position to pick the very best of the upcoming talent for its senior team. If I understand their plan correctly, I think we will see less and less of Chelsea buying big, established names in the future (although I hope they make a special exception for Victor Osimhen) and more lesser-known developing talent like Pais and Estevao and even Malo Gusto or Renato Veiga, for example.
I want the fan base to protest against this ownership they need to be out of our club
