I just can't take the tiny A6 seriously. It looks like the cutest toddler, who wishes to be an A5 when it grows up. 😁

If you feel you don't have so much to write the A6 is very satisfying

Thank you. I was contemplating whether to get A5 or A6. Watching your video, I decided to get the A6.

This video totally helped me choose my new journal for next year. I love how you went over the photo sizing because I also use the selphy. I didn't even realize there was an option without the hours along the left so I really appreciate you ❤❤

LOL Lord have mercy! I want to try A6 but when you said why try one when you can try both! I lost it! 😂🤣 You crack me up! 🤣

Loved that you took the time to give us a walkthrough of both of these. I'm planning on getting the A6 as a daily planner in addition to my Laurel Denise because I need more space most days on lists and to carry in my purse when scheduling new appointments to know what I have coming up so I'm not double booking myself. 😊 Thank you!! 💚

My cousin is coming in the mail soon and I am so excited to get more space as opposed to the weeks I am using now!!🎉

I have the A5 Cousine Hobonichi and love it. Although you are right the the daily pages are a lot to fill in, creatively speaking, and I do get tired of updating the weekly spreads. I may purchase the A6 version to keep with me all day for notes, ideas, and recipes. I purchased the 2024 Avec in A5 and have the weekly for health and food recording.

So, the A6 is literally half the size of the A5.. I also had a moment of choosing because portability.. I ended up foregoing that for real estate inside, and I went for the A5. Fun vid. Thanks 🎉

There is an A6 weekly supplement you can buy from hobonichi. I am planning on using it in 2024 with my techo and they both fit in my hobonichi cover :)

I have used a normal A5 dot-grid notebook for journaling the last few years, but this year it felt too big for me for daily journaling (I am that kind of person who always wants to fill up a page completly) so I'm looking forward to using the A6 HON for next year. 😊

There’s also the a6 supplement, the green cover, insert. If you want to be even more compact. That will give you the weekly, vertical view. I have used both but I did enjoy the Cousin Avec. Especially if you decorate it on a regular basis.

I use both. The A6 for EDC and the cousin for journaling and arts. Last year I had only the A5 and let me tell you this bugger gets so heavy, at the end of the year I thought I had a water bottle in my backpack but it was only the Cousin , hence I got the small one, it does not take up that much space and it is not as heavy and it also fits in smaller purses when I'm not using my backpack.

I would really have loved to hear how you use each of them and the difference in what you use the larger one for versus what you use the smaller one for. How to get the most out of having multiple planners. Maybe that's in one of your other videos. I'll check out your other videos and see what you have!

The A6 is cute but I’m sticking with my Cousin and adding a Weeks to carry with me and use as a habit tracker/note keeper.

I'm sort of in the same boat. This will be my first year with hobonichi. I got the weeks and I love it, its exactly the layout i need. But with the cousin and a6 i havent decided which one i want to use. I think the a6 is enough for most days but there are also busier days and i usually prefer to have more space than not enough.

I’ve used the cousin in the past. I’m now in a passion planner medium Monday start weekly and pretty happy. But I’ve gotta say I’m considering an a6 hobonichi just for a nice little daily journal. 😅

A6 English is slightly bigger - Japanese write smaller so the non-english fits their font better. (The keys on the from denote arts & science - I think - & they determined that non-Japanese need bigger spaces to write in...)

So I’m kinda torn between these two sizes… I actually used/am using a cousin this year but it is chunky and heavy so I can’t take it anywhere. Plus I found I struggled with filling in the dailies. A6 seems like a nice portable size but not sure if it’s going to be enough room for me because I write kinda big. Ugh planner problems.

  • @kmizo27

  • @mousegrey6747

The A6 English has a slightly bigger grid (4mm instead of 3.7mm I think?) but the ‘original’ A6 has the same grid and the same checkboxes to the right of the date as a cousin

Also, they make a weekly supplement, with the vertical weeks only

I keep wanting to love the the smaller size but I just can't see fitting all my needs into it. So I stuck with the hobonichi cousin for 2024 and I know I'm gonna love it as much as I have loved my 2023 cousin. It is getting rather heavy tho.....

You really did not explain how they're different functionally. And I was so confused trying to follow what was what in here like what is the black colored one compared to the one that actually says techo it? You start off by saying you're going to go through all the differences but you really just talk about the size not the differences in their functionality.

    • @kat1008
      @kat1008 5 місяців тому +3

There are a lot of videos that will literally walk you through the page-by-page differences between the two sizes so this vibe is more trying to gauge what you might use the sizes for
