26:31 I feel you so much on this. Actually I stopped ordering things online because I am so over getting packages. I hate waste, packaging and watching it go in the trash. Buying used/preloved has meant less waste so I’ve enjoyed that a little more. In hindsight I have saved money…but the biggest peeve was dealing with packaging!
You totally get it. I used to tell myself to consume less because I needed to spend less, but that mentality doesn't help me because I don't really spend money on anything else besides my hobbies. And I would always go back into the habit of just buying what I want. But it's the CLUTTER of it all! It gives me a headache to see all these packaging boxes constantly.
Sterling Ink’s first planner was a B6 in 2023, I think. I used it. I love the simplicity of simple color and white paper. I rewrote my lineup until I said to myself one main planner and then my devotional journal which is an a5. My main planner is actually going to be a Sterling Ink N2 , it’s comparable to the Hobonichi weeks. Stay blessed.
@@ebonyjustplans381 I just checked and you’re right! She does offer B6 but looks like most of her stock is sold out so maybe that’s why I thought it didn’t exist 😅
I’m with you on the quotes being in Japanese! I hate seeing the English cause I know what it says and that seems so loud at times. 😂😅I don’t know if that makes sense!
exactly! I don’t know who likes the quotes but I just don’t want to read them at all. What if on that day I’m talking about how much my work annoys me and then the quote is like “love your job” 😂😅
Not only does Sterling-Ink make a B6 planner, they make a B6 Slim planner that may just be the perfect solution if you feel A6 is too small and B6/A5 is too big. It's about as wide as an A6, but as tall as a B6. Basically a slightly wider Hobonichi Weeks, that's also available as a full year (one note page per day). The problem with it is that it's such an obscure size that if you want to use covers, you'll have to special order it.
I love hearing your thought process, great video!! I completely understand the decision making process, its so hard to pick and there are pros and cons for each! I'm going to use the A6 Hobonichi, as a daily journal/memory keeper. I usually stick in washi, draw and/or stick photos from my 2x3 sticker printer or ephemera, and still have some room to write. Some days I could definitely use the extra space though! Then I have my A5 for my "morning pages" which I do not do in the morning LOL but its a great brain dump space. Since I started that notebook I definitely have less to write in my A6 and its become more of a memory keeper/art diary. Then I have my weeks for planning, I got the same weeks as you, its adorable!
@@Satindollina That’s a great idea and system you have! I’m still kinda going back and forth on my daily driver haha but I do think the A5 has been working for me. I think I may still use the A6 as a working daily planner instead and use the A5 to write out my thoughts and mental health planner.
@@xoxolorae Thank you!!!Honestly this past week I'm also going back and forth hahaha, like maybe I coulddd fill an A5 page a day. That's the good thing about using an undated planner, you can always change plans and the use of the journal!
I have struggled to like the A6 Hobonichi size as well. I have tried using it multiple times because so many journalers love it and it’s more portable… but I really just find it uncomfortable and small. I prefer the A5 size so I have more space to sketch or write big, but then once in a while it seems so much effort to fill the page. I just need to stop and stick with the A5. 😂. Also, how do you print your photos? On just a regular printer paper or photos paper?
@@sar7719 Haha Im so glad I’m not alone with the A6 / A5 conflict 😅 I think the A6 just feels more compact and cute but ultimately I just need the extra space - I think 🤣 I just use regular paper or I use glossy sticker paper!
haha I am laughing so hard as I'm watching this because earlier today I had just written down that I may be able to use an a6 hobonichi/stalogy combo and then watching this video I'm like... no maybe I'll just use my a5. You're not alone in this debate! I tried a cousin for the firsst time in march and kept up with it for four months before I got overwhelmed by all of the different areas and the big daily pages. But I also want to use my a5 cover everyday haha
Sterling Ink does make a B6 now! I got a B6 Vertical in the Full Year because I liked the layout of the Hobonich cousin. Im on the same boat with you on how i feel about the sizes and how much i write & the paper 😅
