Which APA guidelines still give you issues?
Hello David! I am dealing with in text citation issues such as:
1. Parson and Dickerson (2016) state that.....
Is the correct way with a comma after (2016)?
2. I paraphrase the entire citation.
Is it correct to write states, since I am paraphrasing and not directly quoting?
3. When I finish paraphrasing, sometimes I find myself wanting to make sure what I cited is found, so I will write something like this......
Parsons and Dickerson (2016) state that human service professionals should practice self-awareness before assisting individuals in need (under, Self-Awareness, pg. 13).
Is this correct?
