- This video compares three popular brands of peanut butter powder: Peanut Butter & Co. Vanilla, JIF Original, & PB2 Original. We would have bought the Peanut Butter & Co. in the Original as well, but it was not available.
* The Peanut Butter & Co was $5.29 at Kroger. 2 Tbsp. = 55 calories
* The JIF was $4.48 at Walmart. 2 Tbsp. = 46.6 calories
* The PB2 was $4.39 at Kroger. 2 Tbsp. = 45.2 calories

Great review! I ordered the Peanut Butter & Co regular and chocolate. Excited to try it! Look forward to more of your reviews!
Carisa Risa Thank you! I have only tried this vanilla by Peanut Butter & Co. , but I'm sure the regular and chocolate will be great.
Tami Dunn I couldn't find the vanilla by Peanut Butter & Co. I figured why not try the regular and chocolate :-)
I wonder if they have the powdered jiff or pb and co in my area. I would love to compare them. Such a good video!
I mix regular with chocolate all the time!! I love it that way!!!
i love the pb&co vanilla powder, too! i like to dip pretzels in it. sometimes i even add walden farms pancake syrup to it :)
Tami I buy both PB2 on Amazon in packs of 2 or 4 (1 LB) for ave cost of $8ish but I am also a prime member so shipping is free. But I love the reg flavor with green veggies as a dip, you will find that it will taste so good with like a cucumber but mostly my sister and I use them for our protein shakes and what a difference the two flavors make. Next I will try the Vanilla you had in the video
Pb2 has a fair amount of salt in it. Jif should get bonus points for giving you control over your sodium intake IMO.
I would also add some more water to the JIF brand to make it more creamy. She left it way too thick!
Wish I had the vanilla in my country! Great review :)
Jennifer Lynch I was surprised we had it in our area.
Just got the vanilla pb&co i love it! the other flavors are just as good :)
Emily Gibson I will try them if we get them here. Thank you for letting me know they are good :)
Thx for recommending the vanilla PB & Co. I'll be looking for it @ the local supermarkets in my neck of the woods. Btw as for the JIF, I suggest taking it back to Kroger's customer service. I'm pretty sure they'll allow you to swop it out for another PB power brand you prefer.
+madamhummingbird Thank you!
Say, what is the shelf life on these things?
Do you think pb2 is better because it has salt and sugar? Try mixing it with cool whip and cinnamon to dip apples in. Or even Greek yogurt but you may want to sweeten that with maple syrup.
I'm sure, but the JIF was sooo bad that I would never buy it again. The PB&Co Vanilla was awesome.
How interesting!! I will definitely be looking at Kroger for the vanilla Peanut Butter Company powder! I'm looking for something flavored that I would like other than my usual PB2 that I use. Sounds good! Was it salty at all? Could you taste the vanilla?
Valerie Mings Valerie, it was more of a sweet spread. You could really taste the vanilla.
I use frozen mixed berries that I just unthaw in the microwave or juice to rehydrate. the berries make it taste like pb and jam to me.
That's a great idea!
Do you ever sprinkle PB2 dry atop desserts like ice cream, pudding, yogurt, etc.?
I never do.
When you were talking about the store having another Peanut Butter & Co. flavor I think you saw the one that has flax and chia seeds mixed in with it.
Angel Pe Yes, I'm not interested in that one, but I would try their chocolate.
I like to add a bit of hazelnut extract to chocolate flavor things to give it that Nutella flavor, lol! Worth the try
Priscilla Deleon That's a good idea! I would have never considered adding it to this!
mam I've combined pb2 chocolate and pb2 plain peanut anf it taste so good I also add hershys coco powder to it and it taste like a peanut butter cup try it's so good and top I my ezequial bread with it I also do is freeze a banana then for a hot day treat ezequial bread banana pb2 chocolate hybrid oh and a little speculos cookie butter it's addicting😍 delicious awesome I will try peanut butter CO also you rock god bless you!
roselin8882 Thank you so much for the tips and for watching :)
Oh wow! Adding cocoa powder sounds delicious. I've just ordered the organic pb2 and will definitely add cocoa powder. I might try it with a little vanilla extract, or maybe even some maple syrup.
I have got to try pb powder. I watch my calories and haven't had peanut butter in years! So now I would love to be able to eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich which is my favorite thing! Have you had it like that before with the pb powder like the PB2 one?
PBFit tastes the closest to actual peanut butter 😃
@@TamiDunn Thanks! I just tried the PB brand peanut butter powder in cottage cheese and it tastes terrible but that may just be because I tried it in cottage cheese 😔. I'll try it in other things and see if it's any better. I really want this to work for me.
pb and co has a chocolate peanut butter powder too! and a plain one!
maddylynski I saw that on their website. I wish our area had the regular and chocolate, but I'm guessing the vanilla tastes better anyway.
I don't think I have ever tried powder peanut butter before. I have tried the peanut butter & co jarred stuff and it is really good, but like the powder it is expensive.
Berkshire Bacon Lover We don't get many of their varieties, but what we do get is expensive.
how do they compare to regular peanut butter?
Caity Moschetto Regular peanut butter is much sweeter and saltier and has triple the calories per Tablespoon. I am used to eating nothing but chocolate PB2 except in recipes, so I enjoy it. I would never buy the JIF again though.
I know you didn't like the jiff but I was just thinking about the water to powder ratio and if you do the math it is the same as the others.. It would still be 2 powder /1 water.
Kroger has a terrific chocolate peanut powder. It's their Simple Truth brand.
Instead of water mix it with sugar free syrup its really good...💕☺
Thanks for the tip!
@@TamiDunn You are very welcome. I seen it on a ww channel and tried it and it was really good....
Does the powdered peanut butter give you sone type of health benefits or something? ? Sorry if I'm ignorant to this, i just want to know if its better in some way? .
Darriane Mabry Regular JIF peanut butter is 190 calories for 2 Tbsp. versus 45 calories for 2 Tbsp. of the powdered. I had to stop eating peanut butter for years because it was so bad for me. The powdered peanut butter was like an answer to prayer.
Tami Dunn ohhh. . That is quite a difference! !
Is pb2 better for you or something ??
Yes. As she's said in different videos, if one is trying to watch their caloric intake, then the peanut butter powders are apparently worth it. By reconstituting the powders with water (as opposed to peanut oil), one can get their peanut butter fix at like a quarter of the calories that an equal amount of regular peanut butter would be.
WastedPo. Or vice versa from what you said. You can have 4 times the amount of Peanut Butter per serving compared to the regular peanut butter. So if your goal is to have your fill but with the same amount of calories then this is also the way to go. I think it is 2 grams of Sugar per 12 grams serving of Peanut butter powder, which is not that bad(maybe).
The recipe on the back of the package suggests not just adding water but also honey and salt. Try it that way. It may be a much better experience for you.
The Jif package was the one I meant.
+Dameon Hall Thank you!
I always thought Jif made a nasty peanut butter so saying the powder didn't taste good, did not surprise me a bit!
Thanks for watching!
As a fellow peanut butter lover, I could never eat these over real peanut butter. LOL
Dizzy Strife I didn't have a choice at first, but I really do love chocolate PB2 now.
I think Calve Peanut butter better than those. You should try it.
I have never seen this brand in our area, but I will keep an eye out for it :)
powdered jam would be great
+millenium2003 I agree!
I wish I had watched this before i bought the jif powder. It still doesn't taste good with salt and sugar
+kristen nicole I'm sorry you wasted your money on it. I agree, it's terrible.
I have tried the peanut butter and company before and there is 4 different flavors of this kind of powered. There is like 10 different flavors of the jar peanut butter they have. It is a good peanut butter i really like it. Here is the link of the powered. ilovepeanutbutter.com/index.php/mighty-nut.html
Barbara Brewer Thank you Barbara. I saw that their chocolate & regular are both 45 calories, but to me it's almost worth the 10 extra calories for that vanilla flavor.
jif is horrible!Even with salt. I should have watched this before I bought it. I love pb2.
+Janice Ann I agree with you about PB2. I just tried a new-to-me powder today. It is called PBfit. Try it if you can find it. I bought the original and worried I had made a mistake until I tried it. It is excellent and beats the PB2 regular. It is 50 calories instead of 45, but totally worth it!
