I’m in this video - hahaha tanks for recording it whoever posted this ahah . What an awesome game . Ohtani is on another level and we are all apart of his history .
Broke Dodger HR Record in a Season with 50th! First Time SHO going to the Big Show. Was Two Batters away from coming up for a Second time in the 9th Inning. Still the Best Offensive Day at the Plate in My Lifetime.
People will downplay his 51st home run because it was against a positional player. Oh really? Don't forget he is an injured pitcher hitting 50+ home runs against MLB talents.
I think you and I are the only people that still remember that- I grew up in Philly and actually met Rick Wise, Tony Taylor at Episcopal Academy summer camp. Thanks for referencing such a great memory.
To put it into perspective for people who may not understand why it's such a big deal. What he did yesterday was the baseball equivalent of wilt chamberlain scoring 100 in an NBA game or a QB throwing 8 touchdowns and 600 yards in one game. This was simply the greatest offensive game ever seen in baseball history. The only one that comes close is a fellow Dodger by the name of shawn Greene from back in '01 when he had 4 Homer's and 19 total bases, but it's still not as good.
"Its like JESUS coming down saying this is his favorite church"-billy gil. That was a chef kiss worthy description. Billy was on 🔥 today.... ill have what he is having.
There is only one thing that could have made the day any better for him, and that would have been to have been in LA. The stadium would have lost their mind, probably the loudest its ever been.
He was able to do what he did in the last game against Marlins, you wanna know why? Because he didn't hit homeruns in his bed with his wife, he had his energy reserved. It had to be away games.

1st at bat ball that hit the top of the wall is my way of balancing out the 3rd HR. So I cancel the good luck and bad luck out.
We have seen that before
Teams do it to save arms and mess up the timing of hitters
Welcome to the Greatest Sho on Earth!
Outstanding day. Third homer pitch was lobbed in there. I like Rick Wise game in 1971. Threw a no no and hit two home runs.

I seen Shawn Greene and Whiten's games and this is by far the best performance by a player I have ever seen in my lifetime.

Ohtani got 51/51 to commemorate Ichiro senpai.
He hit three homers, not two…
The guy wearing Miami U shirt looked agitated….

True, but still gotta give the marlin fans and coach for their sportsmanship. Almost all of them stood up and cheered for Shohei.
Mark Witten 4hrs and 12 RBI’s in 1 game in 1993
Another fun fact: You can’t steal bases if you hit home runs.
$27 to witness history is the way sports should be
BILLYS VIDEO STOLEN! PAY THAT MAN!
Check if ohtani is juiced
He honestly doesn't need to be. He's been playing the game his whole life. He's just THAT. GOOD.
