- As is tradition in our family, we spent the week leading up to Thanksgiving stomping around the mountains of central Pennsylvania chasing the illusive black bear around the backcountry. Lots of great memories made in some of the most beautiful country in the world. We hope you enjoyed this video. If so, make sure to Like & Subscribe and we will see you all next time!

We missed you too bro! Hopefully next time
In my neck of the woods i use live in clinton county use to live in renovo and beech creek areas im now in jersey shore pennsylvania but i know that area over in the narrows use to hunt there alot
Lots of bear up in those parts... hoping for a better feed year this year!
Man that thicket was serious that looked like the brambles where the hounds wouldn’t go! Beautiful country though definitely looked like there was a bear in there somewhere! But I would think about carrying a michetti next time!!!
Now there's an idea! Might have to invest in one
You got lucky with that radio that was some brush busting! Great video!
Appreciate that! And yes I sure did... figured it was a long shot at recovering, but worth a shot
I get my best naps while in the woods!!!!!
Amen to that! Something about that fresh air and peace and quiet... can't beat it!
bustin thru laurel and losing stuff along the way. LOL, typical PA black bear hunt. brings back memories, or should I say nightmares.
Wouldn't be a bear hunt without it! lol
Beautiful scenery. God bless yinz and Merry Christmas! 🎄
Merry Christmas to you too!! God bless you as well
Two South paw hunters, 👍 I enjoyed for family bear hunt. Beautiful footage.
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes haha sometimes its tough finding equipment, but I have gone too far in life to try it any other way
Another great family adventure!
Forgot to say that I love cinematography on this video. And always love seeing your dad and sister in the videos too! Where’s your mom? 🤣
Glad you appreciated it! And she was home with grandbaby!!
Reminds me of our Ozark and Ouachita mountains here in Arkansas, black bear habitat for sure!!!
Never been, but I hear good things! On my list for sure
Amen brother! It's His will, it's His will. He came that we may have life and life more abundantly!
Jesus is King
Amen indeed! Apart from Him we have no hope, but through Him we have hope everlasting! Bears or no bears... we know where our true hope lies
Thanks for the video. God Bless and keep on living with nature....
Thanks for watching, God bless you too!
Love that country! Been hunting it for 22 years and took my oldest son for the first this year.
Spotted the back of my head at the check station!😮
It was thin pickens this year. We may try early muzzle as well next year…
Thats awesome! Keep an eye out for us next year, we'll be there. And agreed, thats God's country out that way
Been to the Sportsmen's Hotel countless times. Had a camp in Tamarack for 35 years.
We gotta stop there at least once per trip!
Looks like the bear numbers are down all over the country. Montana bear season was way down this year. Great video
Appreciate that! We are gonna try again this year, and yes we heard that as well.
It's crazy that I recognized the ridge you were on in the thumbnail. Off of pine creek near waterville.
Very close! It is actually off of Fishing Creek on the other side of Bald Eagle. Beautiful country out there!
@@cottagefamilyadventures Ahh shucks! No cigar for me I guess. Hope you enjoyed your time in my neck of the woods.
@@travismccloskey9733 yes, always do!
Never hunted bear but once I shot a snowshoe hare and fell flat on my face. Was excited and wearing snowshoes.
Haha the struggle is real! That sounds like an adventure too
I thought I recognized where you were, then you showed the map. I was right. You were pretty much in my back yard. In fact, some of the farm fields in this video are my cousins. Small world.
Small world indeed! Beautiful country out there
@@cottagefamilyadventures it is very beautiful country, I agree. I don't know if ya'll hunt that area regularly, but if I ever happen to run into your crew I can show ya'll around a bit. If you want, of course.
@@gsnicholas8522 First time there in years actually! Keep your eye out for that pack of Tacomas, we'd love to say howdy to ya if we run into you one of these years.
@@cottagefamilyadventures sounds like a plan. LOL
Good video I killed a bear up in the middle of nowhere in the western most part of centre county this year.
Thanks for watching! Congrats on getting one.
Where was the cabin you stayed in. Looked familiar like Sayers Damn (Blanchard damn) we call it. But then you went up to Renovo to the check station. Maybe your cabin is up that way. I'm from Clinton county and hunt 4-D in McElhattan and 2-G up in Beech creek. It all just looked familiar is all. Thanks for your video.
Glad you liked it! And good question; those cabins are at Bald Eagle State Park at Sayers Dam. We rent them there at the state park. I will go ahead and add that info to the video description in case anyone else is wondering too.
@@cottagefamilyadventures I thought it did. Not sure of the exact location of where you hunting. But know there's a lot of people hunting them areas as well as driving those locations off. My buddy has 130 acreas on bald eagle mnt Rd I hunt up there with him. But this yr there wasn't any sign of deer or bear because of bad acorn crop from the gypsi moths. So I hunt my regular area were I live. I got many deer and 1 bear on trail cam but come rifle season saw I deer the first day was it lol
Yes, we definitely noticed that as well... the lack of acorns. Unfortunately, didn't have time for pre-season scouting this year, so we just stuck with what worked in the past. That's the way it goes, isn't it? lol better luck next year!
why dont ya put radio on a laynard around neck almost impossible to loose then
Not a bad idea! Might have to give that a shot
You need a revolver so you don't have to drag a rifle through that nonsense.
And keep your radio around your neck on a lanyard or string. You won't lose it then. Speaking 100% from experience driving bear in some real dumps of Laurel and Rhodedendron in PA
Now there is an idea! Might have to give that a shot
Where did you hunt there in Pennsylvania
This was in central PA mostly in Clinton County!
Thanks for sharing. We have a camp a bit north of Renovo and love getting out and wandering the mountains.
Hello family hunters I was wondering if your sister was married?I would love to join you for a bear hunt❤
They do make radio harnesses to hold it on your chest.
I've heard that. Definitely might have to give that a shot next year!
@@cottagefamilyadventures ya it was kinda funny though having to call ya on the radio. 😁😁
@@wildfire365 Haha necessity breeds creativity
I hunt there I was there in bear pushing
Hope you had better luck than we did this year!
We didn't move any
We'll get 'em next year!
We get too soon old, and too late smart.
Wait a minute...no 760s ????
Our 700s have done the trick over the years :)
Bush hog
Getting Gas or Diesel fuel at a Pilot truck stop? Pilot fuel stations are all unAmerican ...They won't even fly the American Flag . think about that next time you get fuel there..
Was unaware, thanks for the heads up!
