Pirelli MT21 Review | Did They Make Me Better? | Royal Enfield Himalayan

- I've covered about 300 miles (on & off road) on the Pirelli MT21's so thought I would do a quick review of how I've found them.
Apologies for the audio, I'm doing my best to get good quality, trying different setups until I get it right! - Авто та транспорт
Based on your review I have bought a rear for my crf300l. I’m gonna pair it with a Shinko 804 front because I do ride the bike like a motard on the road so I am going to have to sacrifice a bit on the dirt to keep more front confidence on the tar.
Hi William,
Thanks for the message, I hope you get great results from the MT21's, they certainly suited me for what I was looking for!
Happy riding!
@@almostenduro Thanks mate
The color of the bike is cool 👍
Thank you 👍🏻
Big fan of MT21's had them on all my XT's and Dommies, the only criticism (which applies to most widely spaced knobbly tyres) is that the front end will get squirrelly under hard braking on the road. Got a front to put on my Himmy put couldn't get a rear so pairing it up with a TKC80 which should be ok.
Thanks for the comment! Yes, so far the tyres have been really good, better than my talent requires! Haven't experienced the squirrelly breaking...yet!
@@almostenduro Tbh, despite the negative reviews of the Enfield's front brake, (I find it ok, a big handfull will kick in the ABS so it can't be too bad), at the sort of speed a Himalayan realistically will be doing even when pushed I don't think front end squirm is likely to be an issue.
@@mikefarnden2893 I've also found the front ok, but that being said I've had a few moments breaking from 60 that were a little bit closer than I'd like! Not a problem off road of course, but I do find the ABS off road too intrusive!
I put a pair of these on 1.5 k miles ago, front is wearing slowly, the back though... seems to be wearing quickly, but I'm thinking of replacing with the same, they've been good on and off road, haven't done much riding in the wet yet though, I had IRC's (stock tyres on CRF300L) which I never tried off road much but they were great in the wet, I hope the MT21s are just as good, it takes me a while to get confidence in tyres when it's wet. Nearly 12 months on from this review, how do you feel about them now?
Thanks for the comment, although my riding has moved to more Enduro(ish) I'll still put the MT21's on my next dual sport/adventure bike. Handling in the wet I found was ok, I generally take it a little easier in the wet, on the road at least. All in all, I would still vouch for these tyres. Tyres are such a personal choice but I found these worked for me.
Happy riding!
👍 👍 👍
I’m struggling to find enough off road near me to warrant 21’s. They look the business on the bike though 👍🏼
They do make you want to hunt down more loose stuff! I have to agree, I think they look great 👍🏻
Come to Canada. Offroad everywhere.

Nice video but the mic is too close to your mouth
Glad you like the videos, I'm trying different audio setups to get it better 👍🏻
