- Today we're taking a look at Helpy, the small helpful bear from Five Nights at Freddy's Pizzeria Simulator, Help Wanted, Security Breach, ect. But don't let looks fool you, he's a horrible, unhelpful, little bear who's out to get you. Don't believe me? Well, maybe you shouldn't... Let's get to the bottom of this!

- author is not a child, so can't be murdered by child-murdering animatronics;
- author has no idea how to do their taxes, so the tax-filling animatronic is way too powerful.

Helpy helps us with taxes, and takes care of those pesky lawsuits. Through all that, and hurting himself multiple times he keeps a positive attitude. He is FAR too precious.
I personally believe Henry made Helpy as a personal assistant to help himself in his old age(Henry would be well into his 80s by Fnaf 3/6)that he just loaned to Mike to help him get on with the day to day business operations(because Mike probably has like no experience in that field, he seemed to be first a technician(in training, most likely, during Sister Location), then just doing Security Guard work afterwards. If I’m being honest he probably is just a stand in for Mike like you said, which personally is funnier, just imaging the 54ish year old purple zombie man testing all those attractions at the Fnaf 6 pizzeria himself in the middle of the night by himself.
Also if he was stand in for Micheal in Pizzeria simulator that would explain how Helpy could break his neck. Because I am don’t know how a piece of metal probably could break from probably a two or one foot drop. But instead it was a full adult trying to use a diving board meant for kids and an undead corpse with at least more than one broken bone from his stomach and probably ribs being ripped open and then having a jumble of metal wires that are able to make a humanoid and human sized body being cramped into his corpse. Like I am pretty sure Micheal’s neck was already broken from the mental wires exiting from his mouth (which probably dragged all his all his teeth out and broke his jaw and spine because of that).
I like to think it's both, now that both options are presented. Mike does the game testing, Helpy does the legal stuff. But now I can only imagine Henry walking in on Mike having gotten himself stuck under something because he's completely boneless and going "Mike, that the second time this week".

My headcanon is that Helpy is a toy that Michael carries around (possibly as a comfort item?). He might be old merch from Circus Baby's Pizza World, a chibified version of Funtime Freddy, or he was intended to be his own character entirely, like FF's 'little brother'
He probably isn't actually a moving animatronic, and the minigames are merely him standing in for Micheal, as you said. This is backed by the fact that Helpy sits in the FNAF6 office and just.. doesn't do anything, like he's just a toy Michael decided to put there.
And this is also makes the over-marketization of him by FE slightly more tragic. What was once a comfort item is now a sellout mascot used to promote their shitty products

I love how Helpy is one of the least threatening creatures in this franchise full of haunted evil robots and for some reason he’s the one they decided to slander.

Clearly the pizzeria assistant mascot is more terrifying than the one who can capture children and has various methods of killing them built into him. I guess the character encyclopedia crew did not read Count the Ways or look at Funtime Freddy's blueprints.

I think it was supposed to be depicted as one of those characters who the fandom likes to hate on despite not really doing anything wrong, depicting them as evil when their not and such, like Balloon Boy or Map Bot. But the thing is _Helpy isn’t one of those characters._

I was surprised and delighted when I saw that Helpy continued to reappear in games after Pizza Sim, because in that game, I thought he was meant to be a one-off guide for the building and testing of the restaurant attractions and all. He's one of the best additions to the series, and I love whenever he shows up!

Nobody has EVER disliked Helpy like this before!! Sure, some people laugh at his expense in Pizza Sim and laugh at his air horn jumpscare, but I have NEVER seen anyone be annoyed or mad at Helpy the way some people would be with another overly optimistic or silly character. Helpy isn’t that silly character that people hate on for fun, like Balloon Boy, he’s just seen as a fun little guy who helps us out!!

Balloon Boy felt like a far more natural “meme character that nobody likes” sort of character rather than whatever the encyclopedia does to this bear. It’s rather obvious that whoever wrote his entry just wanted to get it over with and was mad that they couldn’t summarize a cutscene, like you said. It makes one wonder why they chose to give him 2 pages to begin with, though.
There’s probably dozens of ancient, FNAF2/3-era fangames and SFM animations of BB being just an absolute punching bag of a character. It’s interesting how Baby claimed the “Advanced human child clown-based animatronic” role away from him, while eclipsing him tenfold in popularity at the time her game came out and afterwards.
The fact this comment is more about BB than Helpy is also a statement about just how little there is to him.
There are so many old videos on UA-cam that bully the hell out of Balloon Boy
I’m not saying they can’t be funny, but I think Five Nights at Fuckboys (Imagine if THAT was ever covered in this channel…) is the poster child to what the FNAF community was up to in the timespan of 2’s release up to the aftermath of 3. And Balloon Boy was a massive part of those games.
I still can’t believe how much people villainized that little scamp.
All these years later, and now BB is just a footnote in the series’s history, to the point I kinda feel bad for him.

Helpy reminds me of Courage the Cowardly Dog, he's not scary or horrifying himself (and doesn't try to be)- similar to how Courage isn't; but everyone else in the world is horrifying, monstrous or directly evil/abusive a significant amount of the time.
Helpy is like a committee-designed corporate mascot, developed to be as soullessly peppy as possible. He's FNAF's answer to Flo from Progressive, he's clipart made flesh (machine?), he's a support chat AI in a tophat and bowtie - and despite all of that, he's filled with so much charm and personality. I like the little guy 😊

Helpy’s always been one of my faves (besides the fact that his design is unoriginal, but security breach semi solves that.) and I just love the image of Helpy doing Mike’s taxes while he fends off his dead family members.
i like this lil guy, he can be a little unsettling, but he’s got that specfic vibe of just a little guy who was born from a tornado of evil he has nothing to do with.

Helpy is pretty much just the guy shown on instruction manual pictures. Your theory of helpy being a stand in for the player character in the fnaf 6 mini games/lawsuit stuff would fit pretty well I think. Ig he's both a real marketable entity and the player character's fursona

I still think that the male and (fairly) deep voice you hear as the hand unit in sister location and pizzeria sim is from helpy. It's so amusing to think that small thing can speak so loudly and as a tired 35 year old
Have to say, Helpy is a great sort of contrast to the night segments in Pizza Sim. I always find spooks in a game better when there's non-spooky bits to contrast, and Helpy's silliness in the minigames and the store catalogue animations really work for that in my opinion.
I love these videos because, I kid you not, I never knew Helpy was involved in the franchise to this degree. Like, I vaguely remember him on let's plays of various FNAF games but it didn't click until this video pointed out a lot of his appearances. I feel they could have totally made an awesome story based on him. He's like some helpful virus that is good natured and has good intentions and attempts to save people from bad things happening to them. It's then revealed that the bad things are happening because of him, but he's not causing it, there's another virus that follows him around and causes chaos.
It actually is kind of surprising how Helpy kind of cemented himself into the franchise. ^_^

I was actively in pain when you were reading the Page in the book. Really of all things they emphasized him being slightly unnerving. Highest emphasis unslightly ever by the way. They could have talked about how he seemingly went From a manifestation of the character to an actual mascot for fazbears. They could have Had a funny little joke about him looking like fun time freddy but being a lot less aggressive. Or heck even just a little page talking bout him being thr one cute thing in a hell house. But no they went for Oh my god he slightly creepy oh no
Why are people bullying the 1st helpful animatronic in the series. I mean look at him, he’s shaped like a friend.
I see that you haven't covered the buff helpy stuff which is vital to the lore, you see buff helpy entouraged Willam to work out so he can move around those heavy suits. Without this, we wouldn't have gotten any of the games.
After your rant about the character encyclopedia, and now that it's been out for a couple months now, I would really love to see you do a longer video talking again about the book, going into more detail on all (or most) problems. Maybe going through it page by page or problem by problem? (i.e. missing characters, contradictory narratives, poorly done images, untrue "game appearances", etc)

This video is made retroactively more funny by the fact that Ruin has an actually malicious variant of Helpy.
Whoever wrote that page description should play all of the games Helpy appears on and appreciate who he really is, because Helpy is surprisingly one of the most memorable non-animatronic characters.
He is an animatronic though, I'm pretty sure.

Unless maybe he adopted one? But that just seems irresponsible of him)
@@alilordoftheskies5079 Yeah Micheal having children is impossible and I doubt he'd adopt one even if he could(given how small Hurricane Utah is population wise). However regarding William there's no definite statement afaik saying that there was only ever 3 Afton children, and given the significant age gap between Mike compared to CC and Elizabeth, it's not to unlikely at least one child would have been between them. Just because a forth child hasn't been shown to this point doesn't mean they don't exist.
Clearly the author is a time traveler, they've seen what Helpy does in the future including his super evil role in the upcoming Security Breach DLC. It's a warning but we won't realize what it's about until it's too late.
Helpy is a helpful cinnamon bun, and should be protected at all costs.
Pointing out that Helpy is a representation of the Player Character during the segments where we test the minigames in Pizza Sim gives a bunch of Hilarious images.

I remember seeing a fancomic where Helpy was Michael's little helper bot that he built. At first I wondered where that came from. But considering Helpy is possibly a stand in for the player of fnaf6. I like it. Helpy is just Mike's little buddy.

I'm not the biggest fan of him like he's not terrible he's just okay but I am shocked if anyone actually hates him like what is he done to deserve that really nothing he's just an okay cute character that a franchise has that doesn't really do anything to hurt it in my opinion.
My assumption for the page being a borderline hit piece is moreso because of the reputation that helper characters have in video games, the most prominent ones that come to mind are Omochao and Navi. Characters like that tend to be absolutely despised by the general fandom, so the author probably just assumed Helpy also fell into that category. It's a completely wrong assumption, but I can see where they were coming from.

I'm gonna be honest, I'm usually just a lurker but I have to say, I really really enjoy your content! It informs me on lore that I previously didn't understand, and unlike a lot of other channels, it's somehow still intriguing regardless of whether I already knew the information or not-even in the videos where I already know all the information being presented, I still really enjoy listening and watching because the format is concise and well put together. I just want to give major props for that, and keep making great content! I always look forward to watching these videos when I get home from work or during my break, so the content has definitely made my day many times :)
I've never seen someone actively hate Helpy 😭 sure I've seen people absolutely hate Balloon Boy and DeeDee but Helpy is just a cute little guy who does practically nothing. The enciclopedia is so weird

Help was one of those characters that you wonder why he exists, but don't bother to question. Let's be honest, Fnaf has pumped out some crazy stuff throughout its years, but I still overall enjoy the franchise. 😀👍

I could be intrigued at a Frights book showing him in a different light - I even heard a thought of Afton watching us through the wet floor bots, but I do agree with this page being kinda harsh.
I'd interested if you did a full remastering of the encyclopedia in your vision. At least bios and descriptions, and if you struggle with art, at least describe desired pictures.
