The Tasmanian Tiger (THYLACINE) is STILL ALIVE? (Documentary) Pt.1
Вставка
- Опубліковано 24 тра 2024
- I believe the Tasmanian Tiger (Thylacine) never went extinct. With thousands of sightings across Tasmania, Mainland Australia and Papua New Guinea til this day, I believe a small population of them could still be out there in the wild. In this 4day - 40km expedition we focus on the changing lands of Tasmania and try bring this species back to life.

It's so cool Miller this episode we love it😊😊
When is part 2 hahah?? What did you mean at the end where you said you woke up grabbed the spotlight looked out the window shined the torch around and the light came to rest on what was a thylacine?

Super wilson 👍✌
Great job miller, was a real hoot to have you and Kurt down for the trip. Looking forward to pt 2 🙌
Hey Rob, did you see that recent video here on UA-cam where a guy found people in Papua New Guinea that think there’s still Thylacines in the wild?
@@Mark_Jacobson81 yeah I did.. waiting for him to call me for the trip so I can show him how it’s done out there 🥹😂
@@Rob.Parsons mate you and miller gotta go on an expedition with forrest galante please
Love that response Forrest wouldn't survive one of your trips 😅 @@Rob.Parsons
Awesome adventure mate so glad we could all make it together 🙌
Levi...!! Already watched your upload....👍🏻
My dad watchers u prospect
But what did you see getting the water dude,😂?
Trust Levi to get the lobby 😅
Watching from Southeastern EU / Bulgaria fr, gotta say, damn, you put NatGeo out of business in comparison to how the whole thing is shot, told and presented. Real gold content. Cheers, bruv!!!
so cool to hear from you and thanks for the support all the way from Bulgaria - I appreciate you watching my vids thanks Miller
@@MillerWilson Props, brother!
Great video, hard yakka! The audio quality is so good (no wind noise) like I was expecting after watching the other 2 vids from Levi and Rob.
Thanks so much- it was a really fun time
It's amazing man, I can never get bored watching your videos, can't wait for part 2!
nice one Ben thanks mate
I’m from Melbourne. Currently been living in Tasmania for almost a year. Lived in Burnie and Devonport for work purposes. The amount of animals that gather around my car at night and the amount of wildlife I have witnessed while driving at night for work tells me that the Tasmanian Tiger is STILL
ALIVE. Tasmania is full of bushes. Deep bushes. Driving along the bass highway, especially near Ulverstone and Sulfur Creek, one will always think that the Tassie Tiger is somewhere there. Let them live where they belong. They are very smart. We never get to see them because they know what humans can do to them.
Absolutely fab video, Miller. Thanks heaps. Am really looking forward to part 2. You never fail to impress. And good luck with Patreon!
Thanks so much - it was so much fun filming this series - even the cross country extreme hiking haha
Took me until the next day to realize it was an April 1st upload.
Miller, your video is so awesome! You did such a great job with all the research and making it look super cool. Your team seems like they're having a blast, and it kept me hooked the whole time. The places you went to were really pretty, and I liked learning about the history stuff too. It felt like I was right there with you, especially when you were checking those camera things and floating down the river. Kurt's determination was so inspiring, and when you guys finally made it to the ocean, I was cheering for you! Can't wait for Part 2 - you're doing amazing, keep it up!🌿🐾
very amazing summary thanks Emi I appreciate the support - it was truly amazing to end up at that ocean scene - made you forget the extreme path to get there or at least until we had to walk back haha
Great video. Makes us feel like we were there along with you guys. Looking for Part 2 now.
so cool to hear thanks so much cheers Miller
Important work you are all doing here. Thank you for showing your viewpoint of the journey. I am looking forward to part 2. 😀
Brilliant as always, couldn't take my eyes off the screen, can't wait to see part 2
thanks so much Roger I t was a real amazing week trekking in the wilderness cheers Miller
Imagine if you Miller Wilson a simple youtuber were able to prove the existence of a thylacine which I know in my heart does still exist in this world .. how amazing.
In this world,? Where?😂

Well done, great video, great footage and story telling. The Pieman river is absolutely stunning.
Glad you enjoyed it - I am continually amazed by Tasmania at every turn it is incredible
This is such a thoroughly researched and professionally produced video in every way Miller. You've assembled an amiable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic team, and you keep us on the edge of our seats throughout!
.
I love the alluring and wide expanse of those grassy, brushy plains with mountains on the horizon. Impossible to resist exploring them!
.
Love your camp setup ⛺️
.
The background info, historic film, and thylacine history at that zoo is so valuable and intriguing.
.
That night sky!
.
It must've been so exciting to check your camera traps!
.
Man, you really make us feel like we're there with you, filming the exit from your tent, and your heavy backpack as you walk through the thick vegetation, and putting us on your raft so we can calmly glide on the water with you. So cool Miller.
.
Those ancient trees! Yes... something to really ponder... their durability, their timelessness.
.
Funny... my muscles ached as I watched you drag the rafts through the paddock 😄
.
I love the peaceful sounds of the river, and the birds in the forest... truly surrounded by primeval beauty.
.
Oh man... Kurt's exhaustion and determination... I remember such pain on epic hikes when I was younger....I suddenly couldn't appreciate the wonders around me, so discouraged by my own agony 😩 but certainly appreciated it later, in retrospect, when I recuperated.
.
The ocean! What a thrill! You guys worked so hard for it! I LOOK FORWARD TO PART 2!
thanks as aways mate - it was just a really epic journey that had it all - part two is looking epic as I go through all the footage
Yaaay the second part. Thank you Miller for another great time watching your videos.
Hehe just took off my dog a tassie tiger bandana :D My Aussie mate sent it to us a lil souvenir. Funny circumstances .
Keep up the great job!
haha thanks for sharing and glad you are enjoying the series - one more to come cheers Miller
@@MillerWilson Oh I do! Those are flippin great! Cheers
I've been so interested in this latley. How fascinating is this creature's history and it's ultimately sad demise. Another UA-camr from the states recently made a video sharing some stories about his first expedition looking for them and I became fascinated. Love this, bro.
nice one mate so cool to hear your interest and hope hope your enjoyed the journey - part 2 still to come
Brilliantly produced, can’t wait for part two!

cool thanks so much for watching - hope you enjoyed them all - we all had a great time thats for sure
@@MillerWilson it was absolutely excellent.. very informative and put together great 👌👍
Came across this channel while watching stuff about Thylacine. The landscape and nature is so beautiful there. Also your buddy Kurt was a trooper for that I cant imagine getting sick out in the middle of the forest like that he handled it like a champ.
It’s the first video that I’ve ever watched on your channel, and I watched the adventure on Rob’s channel as well, also the first time that I watched one of his videos. Rob’s was great but it was more about the trip; yours has a lot of information and for someone like myself, an American, I don’t know a lot about the history so it was very much appreciated. Nice job, Miller.
Awesome video Miller really enjoyed it keep up the good work
thanks so much Samuel
Love all of your videos millet thanks for this one
no worries Ben thanks mate
Absolute banger! Heaps interesting, love watching your videos man keep entertains and educating! ❤
so great to hear your support thanks so much for watching cheers Miller
Just amazing, and each year you get even better and better! Ya went from dirt bikes and creek running, to catch n cooks, to showing us nature around you, to starting little trips that have now ballooned into these real excursions that have meaning and value for the world in one form or another. You sure are giving the Corwin lad some REAL conservation competition! Oh, btw, what IS that camp food heater i seen you eating from early in the video? You should find outdoor product sponsors that would give you equipment for visibility on your channel, and sponsorships would help fund future excursions! Patreon was a GREAT idea to start! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. PLEASE KEEP THESE VIDEOS COMMING!
Thanks so much- I really appreciate the support and kindness cheers Miller
You have been my favorite UA-camr since I was 7. This adventure was very cool

Great docu! Go on like this. Lttle comment: Not repeating over and over the same footage. And it was never clear to my slow mind how many guys you were on this amazing expedition. I might sub.
Thanks mate , yes maybe joining in at part 2 made some things unclear to you and I hear your view on repeats cheers miller
Great seeing you go on adventures like this. Amazingly informative. You should have your own program on National Geographic!

hey thanks so much - great to have you back - it has been a while
Tasmania is such a beautiful place. I can wait for the second part. Rediscovering the Tasmanian Tiger would be truly amazing.
Yes it was amazing Landon - thanks for watching mate
Top notch docco mate. Love how there are still a handful of places left on earth rarely visited by humans.
Also, it’s def worth keeping an eye on Tassie skies - guess that was the ISS you saw but one night I saw three odd bright lights over beyond the Hartz Mtns, first approaching then spiralling in random loops for a few mins before flying off in different directions. One of the strangest things I’ve ever seen.
Looking forward to part 2.
yes it was only upon reflection that I considered what I was seeing - I am sure many things happen in those Southern Antartic skies that we all miss - maybe this one went further on this night - who knows - some many mysteries so little time haha
@@MillerWilson so true! Am about to head back there this weekend - this time with better photography gear, so will be sending the drone straight up should any airborne oddities appear!
I share the same sentiment with others, thank you for taking us with you on this journey. So sad to hear what happened to Benjamin.
yes thank you - that is a real shame for sure - it was an amazing few weeks
This was very entertaining. Part of me seriously wishes you would spot a Thylacine. Those creatures look beautiful. Good luck to you and yet again, thank you for taking us on that same journey with you. Im a big fan. 👍

I hope one day I could make it to Tasmania!
Keep on with those great content.

Good on ya Marco. Live ya TASSY dream
Same. I die inside each day due to the fact that I can't afford to go to places like New Guinea, Congo, Amazonia and Tasmania. I'm 23 and I hope one day I can explore these places.
I have an unhealthy obsession with deep wilderness exploration that sometimes I think about killing myself.
haha I feel you Marco - it is definitely an achievable dream - get that vision board happening mate and let me know when you are booked cheers Miller
pretty heavy pedro but channel your adventurous spirit and go do some travelling when you can - but stay alive doing it - it is so much better cheers Miller
I’ve been loving your videos since you were little. From Fishing, Adventures, Hiking, Swimming in creeks and more. I believe the tassie tiger is still alive. You should make a Tv series about all of your exciting adventures.

so cool to hear thanks so much
Love this series brother ty
nice to hear thanks so much
I saw this when it was 10 SECONDS OLD
how cool thanks for being so keen
Its good to watch you all together
This is a fascinating subject throughout with the beautiful scenery. As I've said previously and as tragic the story of the Thylacine is, we can only use this (along with other extinct animals) as a wake-up call to save and care for many other endangered species to stop more of them from becoming extinct rather than blaming others or looking back in anger. Even so, it'll be amazing if a Thylcaine does shows up once more (even more so if you happened to find one).
yes I totally agree - the secret to life is learn from your mistakes - hopefully we can also achieve this as a group of people
Hey Miller it's me Vinny Nancy and my wife Stephanie says hi they love the new episode we all thought it was cool it would be amazing to be up and close up to one of those things😊😊😊

thanks Curtis - I appreciate it mate
Another awesome adventure! I love watching these and it really works the way you all upload your own films of the same trip. One thing tho, don't you find the relative scarcity of all forms of wildlife encounters a bit strange considering the remoteness of the locations and the historic lack of human activity therein?
yes it is definitely not what I am used to as where i live we happen upon wildlife and 50 meters but I guess alot of wildlife being nocturnal we may have just walked by caves and tunnels and not registered but very true observation cheers Miller
@@MillerWilson Thanks for replying! When I see you guys bashing your way through the unchartered scrub - I'm thinking Snakes!!. We know they exist, but you didn't see any....I guess that gives us hope for the Thylo?

Great Documentary Miller, there's a lot of people that the Island of Tasmania is just a small Island south of Australia. Having been there in 1999 myself it's quite the opposite but keep what you're doing and hopefully one day you can prove that the Thylacine is still with us.
thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment and support my channel - I t would be amazing to discover they are still with us cheers Miller
@@MillerWilson Yw watching this and a few others like Forrest Galante there are just too many signs to say this animal is extinct. Hopefully one day with modern technology this can be disproved so good luck.
