I watched my daughter-in-law do this: rinse off the spoon/fork/knife she was as using as she prepared a meal, after each use! No mess on the counter, And, no food eaten before the meal was completed...genius-ly simple 😮😮

Mmmmmmm........I am as food addicted as it gets.......but I am NOT with you on this. The question is: DOES this thing,lick,taste ...carry the potential to get you down that ROAD again or is it just 10 extra calories in my day?????? This is where we have to draw the line. DOES the apple piece bring you to a binge afterwards????? As you describe it here, it definitely does NOT do that for you. An apple piece does not make me binge......even an extra 2 apples in my day do not make me binge. But ANY amount of salt-sugar-oil-processed-concoctions WILL definitely make me binge. So I really see that as very very very obsessive, and that is NOT where I want to end up.....while I would like to repeat that I am as food addicted as it gets. So I would have to draw the line BEFORE that tiny tiny little piece of hard candy......because that would really ignite a fire in me. But 2 apples do not ignite the fire in me. Neither does the lick of unappealing oat slime on my spoon. Of course, IF that apple piece makes you end up steering from your plan.....that would be a huge problem, but if it has not other consequences, other than being 10 or 100 extra calories...then I would say that really does not matter.
